A Glimpse into Firefight – WW2
Firefight is a World War II real-time simulation game with more AI and attention to detail than any other game in its genre to date. Tanks are modelled with a physics engine and have gears, rev counters and speedos, and steer themselves with brake levers to give them realistic looking tracked vehicle movement. Each bullet, shell or piece of shrapnel is modelled in 3D and ricochets realistically off sloping surfaces. You can see each infantryman’s rank, name, weapon, ammunition remaining, heart rate and fatigue levels. Machine gunners will call for ammunition when they’re running low and other squad members will rush over with spare ammo if they are carrying any. Wounded men call for medics who will sprint over to administer first aid. Off-board artillery can be called in but will have to fire several ranging shots before the full 8 gun battery opens fire simultaneously.
Play either against the sophisticated built-in AI, or play a local network game against a friend using WiFi or Bluetooth.

For all of you saying its 70+$ for all the maps. Thats a lie. Its 9.99$ for all the western front maps and 9.99$ for all the Eastern maps. A great add in the future would be more things to do in custom games like unlimited money, more objective choices, and ability to customize the battlefield.
Varied terrain, namely one Id love to see is a Desert/North Africa map pack.

Im sorry in advance as we dont usually write reviews but this game is by far our favorite mobile game around. Its surprisingly accurate in the squads, movement, tactics, even the artillery is realistic. This game has lots of potential for future development and makes us excited for whats to come (even though this game is at least 5 years old )
We love the game and all the strategy in it we wish there were more game exactly like firefight but one problem its been a week and we tap on the game and it just sends us back to our home screen we have tried to uninstall reinstall tried everything and nothing seems to work we tap on it black screen then just tabs out pls fix this.
Honestly a very fun game. Definitely want to see more maps and troop variations. Also would love to know kore about the development of the game.
We think it’s a good gameit is very hardcore, very good simulation of the battlefield, our strategy can be realized in it, and the game characters in it make us feel like a flesh-and-blood person. All in all, this game is a great war strategy game except that the graphics are not very good.
Absolutely dope game love the amount of detail put into a seemingly simple game on the surface. Would love to see a map editor, infantry only mode, and air support. Love the game the developers attention to detail and willingness to add in players suggestions.
We love this game and we want to experience more but we want to play other missions so why not make the missions playable by watching adds or something or make add ons that cost money instead of making missions cost money.
This is such a good game we love it but we wish there was a ww1 version of this and for this game it could use different type of maps for customs.

We know you guys are busy, and theres no rush, but can you guys make a way where we can do infantry only battles? We love this game but we have some requests we dont expect you to see this but we hope you take our ideas into consideration we think there should be sand bags and we think you should add a mode where you can build a base and you have to defend it but thats a lot at least there should be sand bags and things you can place for defense in a real situation there would be sand bags and cover and thats everything thank you.
Cool game, we’ve been wanting to play a small unit game like this for a while. Very good game. Larger scale fights would be cool. Also a US Civil war version of this with Infantry, Calvary, and artillery would be awesome.
Firstly the AI is and acts absolutely stupid not listening when told to move, Going into a firefight when told to move somewhere else, sitting in a position and getting destroyed when already told to MOVE, and finally the AI shooting is near useless if you dont focus fire manually. The Custom game should be unlimited money because its CUSTOM. If we wanted to have a game where we couldnt actually play how we want wed just play the missions which also need tons of work. Not to mention the game being a money trap all of the maps together cost well over 70+ dollars and you cant even have an actual custom mode where you can use the units you want without a money block? Couldve been such a great game sad the developers are too lazy to actually put in some work on it.
Absolutely love this game super awesome. However Id love to see some historically noteworthy maps like the fall of Berlin or D-Day invasion or Stalingrad etc. Also Id love to see some character to the orders, for example when you tell your soldiers to move out an American voice says it, but depending on your nation Id love to hear a russian yell orders in russian its small but it would seriously add a lot. Also some statistics of over all casualties etc. Would be cool. Thanks for reading.
We feel like they should have modern version like where you control units in Afghanistan we like this game its our all time favorite.
Game is great we’ve been playing for a few years we just wish they would add air assets such as strafing runs, rocket attacks, and small bomb drops that would come from attack fighters. We also wish there was a way to play online with someone you didnt know instead of only being able to play with someone who has the game that you know.
We have been playing this game for years and have written a few reviews in past. The game is an excellent strategy game for those who enjoy WWII tech and some realism. The games last about 30 minutes which makes them it the perfect game to play when we have a bit of down time. There are a few small things Id like to see added to the game such as infantry using smoke grenades and maybe even some new infantry formations aside from the typical line and single column formations. Im not sure what formations were used in WWII, but a wedge formation or two columns formation would really help infantry units maneuver around the terrain. It would also be nice to see a T-44 added to the Soviets since we already have some late war tanks like the Pershing in the game. Regardless, we genuinely find myself playing this game nearly everyday because how easy it is to start a game and how much fun it is.
First of all this is a great game but all that we want to see now is just some updates its really good but it hasnt come to its full potential like maybe a battle of the bulge map or urban map maybe even trenches and foxholes any new features would be great.
When your crewmans vehicle gets destroyed or brakes down we wish you could bring a infantry squad over to them and help them out with aid and get them to stick with your squads as you push for your objective instead they just sit around and lay down.
The game is great but playing vertically on an iPad is kinda cumbersome. If possible being able to play horizontally would be great and very much appreciated.
We’ve been playing the game for at least a year now, and we love it! The only thing Id like to see is being able to tweak units on the enemy team, such as having full customization to say which units can be on the battlefield. Appreciate yall!!
We have been playing for a while now and it is really good and very realistic just some thing we wish was added was the German Sturmtiger as when playing the game we have not seen it but to was a used tank at the time but overall its a really good game we suggest others to check it out!
Love this game, but id like to see a pacific update with some aquatic terrain, marines are already in the game so we would an LVT with different variants. It would be nice to see some air assets as well, being such as a P-47 or P-51 along with the F4U Corsair .
Artillery dont work and tutorial to hard cause artillery.
Love the game we get caught up on it for a while, but we really hope it still gets updates as some of the ai can be improved we think, other than that we love the gameplay and how it all runs, really hope to see new content soon.
This ishonestly a really amazing game, but some sort of weather mechanic would be really nice.
Firefight is pretty fun. It allows a range of freedom of action, and it’s interesting to coordinate artillery & mortar with infantry, armored vehicles, and anti-tank pieces. We try our best to capture the objective quickly while preserving each man as best as possible. Bonus points are for crushing the enemy units. Been playing for years and it’s still fun.
Scaled battles would be great in custom mode. Either the AI selects units similar to the ones chosen, or even better you can select the AI units as well. We would love to have balanced combat. Would be great to do an all infantry battle. Love this game and so excited that the developer is actively updating. So much potential.
We’ve been playing this game for many years now, but we wish they would add planes for paratroopers, or at least an airstrike.
The game of very realistic and we personally love games like that. Unfortunately there isnt many games like that available for mobile play. This game gives you free will to play on a widespread amount of maps (if you buy the packs) overall this is an amazing game, but one thing we do wish to see is better movement for the vehicles. Sometimes when we try to position a tank in a certain open area it just wont move even when its not under fire. Other than that very good game 9/10 would recommend for anyone who enjoys mobile WW2 games.
We love the game but be cool if you added a engineer squad so you can fortify positions on the defense mode, also would love a ww1 game like this we just imagine tanks going over the trenches, destroyed armored cars and more. If yall did it that has similar mechanics to this game than that would prob be the top ww1 game in the App Store. We think it will be a big hit because there is a lot of people probably wanting to play a ww1 game. A good ww1 game.
This game is one of the best WW2 strategy games we have seen but we give it 4 stars because you have to pay $10 for the campaigns and for custom we should be able to place down the enemy tanks and other because it will be better but other than that this game is very good.
This game is very good in the historical timeline and events. But, can you add new tanks like the t34 calliope? (Ps the t34 calliope is a sherman rockets on it)
Every game has room for improvement including this game, but the features it has are still fun and fluid to play with. Its a great game if you have free time and you want to play some semi-historical WW2 combat. The game has tanks like infamous Tiger, Soviet T-35, Sherman and many more. A widespread variety of infantry equipment including MGs, Rifles, Automatic Rifles, SMGs, LMGs, just about every weapon seen on the fields of WW2. We personally like games with the 2d art style like the one this game has because it has character. The game has a perfect historical balance making sure the strategy feels as real as possible. Weapons function as youd expect and they get destroyed by the things youd expect. The in depth detail while utilizing the 2d format is impeccable. Artillery making troops pinned down, fire fighting makes troops move to fight. Tanks retreat after taking a near destroying shell. Actual Functionality flaws we’ve encountered usually get fixed very fast now that the game is being updated regularly. We would love to see more features in this game. However the feature that we think would most improve this game is the ability to set the amount of funds you receive in custom games, and we mean set not choose a number that is predistinguished.
What would make it even better in our opinion is an option to choose the troops of the enemy in custom battles. Like being able to throw nothing but infantry against each other or nothing but light tanks, the possibilities are endless! We love the game this is the only thing we would add :)
An amazing game! Our only request – the infantry combat in this game is superb, whereas armored combat is dominated by a heavy-tank meta. Create an option to have battles with only infantry and weapons teams allowed for both sides. This would make for an incredible improvement. Thanks.
We love this game and we also love who its still being worked on, we play it at work from time to time and its an easy game to get lost in, we give it 5 stars. We would like to see different time periods though, not just ww2 but Korea, Vietnam, DS, and other conflicts would make a great addition. Cant wait to see where they go with this game.
The game is really good, we wouldnt sell it for 20 bucks tho for a couple of reasons. First of all, the A.I. Isnt that great. Their good but they are a little hard to control. Also, you should be able to move individual soldiers. We hate that you can only position them in straight lines. You should be able to make them throw grenades, ride on vehicles, etc. We also think it would be cool to have ours placer and minesweeper units. Other than that tho, really good game, we highly recommend it.

The ai is buggy and it keeps shooting where we dont want it to.
This game is so much fun to play because of its focus on different scenarios. Its never boring and repetitive unless you make it that way. We love all the updates and how fast they are put out, especially for their content. We do have one question, we know before you were able to buy a SINGLE map but we see now that the function is gone, could that come back? Over the years we have bought the single maps and now we need only two more to complete the western front but we dont want to pay $10 for 2 maps. Other than that, we love the game and we cant wait to see more from the creator!!
Great AI. Tanks take some practice to command effectively. For instance in order to get tanks to engage a target effectively you need to have them ceasefire, issue fire order, then move to desired fire position. Great replay ability especially with new defense mode.
Love the game, love the continuous content, besides North Africa and Pacific maps, Id love to see a game like this but for the Vietnam War, it would be great to see Also for this game we would like if we could pick the units on the opposing team.
