Hear from the Players – Fleeting Memory Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Fleeting Memory:

We really enjoyed this game. It was challenging, but we love games that are a bit challenging and think outside the box. Otherwise games can become boring with the same old format. We cant wait to see what they come up with next.

The game has a nice little sense of humor and some fun locations and characters. Our only complaint would be that the solutions are pretty random.

We downloaded this game because we are currently on a puzzle/point &click kick and we were drawn to the beautiful art of this game. We hoped for the best in terms of gameplay and as it urns out this game is fun, cute, clever, and feels like a lot of heart was put into it.

Spoilers: we accidentally recorded Ates voice over the Malteses barking before we could use the recorder on the bird. We had to restart the game after that.

We are a huge fan of (old) Nancy Drew and Carol Reed point and click games, and in our constant search for similar iOS games we stumbled upon Fleeting Memory and the other games by Mystery Capers. Funny, fun and engaging, we look forward to future games by Mystery Capers!

Just finished this and Fleeting Journey and we can’t wait to start the other games! The hand-drawn style is a very refreshing change of pace from the many photoshopped photorealistic point-and-click games on the app store. The puzzles really made us feel like we were thinking through the case as a detective. Our one addition to this game, if we were to make one, would be an in-game hint system that provides the same contextual nudges that the website does. The Sophia 175 puzzle stumped us the most :)

Great characters and story. Funny, amusing, tough at times and just the right amount of challenging. We did have to refer to the hint page on the website a few times and we would really like to appreciate the hint page! It’s set up the way every hint /walkthrough should be. Starts with great subtle hints, then more direct… Then solutions and they are so well written. Thank you!! Truly written by people who love these kinds of games and know the value of a subtle hint.

We enjoyed this game and we liked that the hints were actually hints and not just solutions. But for the prime number access code clue, 6 is one of the numbers despite it not being a prime number. Our guess is it was supposed to be 5?

So we finished all your other games and this one is definitely the most challenging for us. We think Im almost done, we just used the map on the chess book but nothing is happening? Thats what the hints website says to do. Im stuck.

Awesome game but cant figure out where the lab is?

Im really enjoying this game! Love the idea of a point & click wrapped in a murder mystery. Super fun to play. Some of the logic isnt obvious but not too far-fetched. A really good balance. And we even love the way you structure your hints section! We think theres 1 detail missing: we cant figure out where to find the 2nd battery to get the flashlight to work. Hopefully we can get that figured out & move forward!

Game is great, hope theres hints as it goes. Once you get stuck, its so hard to find the next clue. For example, that evidence from gazebo was pretty annoying. Other that that, great game and we like the dialogue. We are still playing and you know…. Stuck at this point.

Where is the safe?!?! We cant find it anywhere! And we’ve looked! We read about in the hints and we cant move on until we get the lock-picking kit.

We love these types of games. This one is great in terms of characters and dialogue but Im not a fan of the controls for moving from location to location and we had to constantly use the hints because it is not intuitive. Its kind of random and tricky but not in a good way. Still though, we dig the animation and story line so it was worth the money.

We love idea of this game – a murder, a mystery, countless puzzles & humor to boot. But we found the puzzles to be somewhat illogical so that we had to consult the game maker’s website constantly for hints in order to advance through the game. We play a lot of puzzle adventure games and we’re pretty stubborn when it comes to seeking help with the levels. We like the satisfaction of knowing we figured it out on our own. So we were a little disappointed with that aspect of this game. But otherwise, great concept.

We can’t figure out how to get the other shoe or how to fix the pipes n shower.

Trying to get the book for Sophia but nothing is working. We’ve looked at the hints and Im having trouble still. We’ve completed the game before, we dont know what the problem is now.

Im stuck. How do we get the cell phone?

We’ve spent so much time and Im almost to the end, and the hint says to lie about the childrens minder seeing Parnell. We have no idea how to do this and every time we bring her up, the only option is to say we cant get her to speak to us. Very disappointing after spending so much time playing. Otherwise, a very fun and well thought out game.

We have the subjects and we cant collect the tree carving to use. Major glitch. Had to delete.

We had the right idea and even checked the walkthrough to make sure but we still cant knock down the book!!! Is this a glitch? We loved this game but now we cant move on. So frustrating!

Point-and-click adventure combined with whodunnit mystery. The developer did a great job building a layered storyline with plenty of interesting characters and mystery solving. Some of the dialogue and interactions are a bit clunky… Since certain topics must be discussed in order to open the next step in the game. The puzzles are clever and require some out of the box thinking… Which is awesome. Looking forward to future releases by this dev. Cheers.

We love this game, but we are stuck. We have gone to your website, and gotten hints. We still have not found glasses in the boathouse. Please advise!

Loved the concept of the story line and quirky characters. Very challenging but fun challenges. Loved the hint system and used it as needed (before total stress at not figuring out something). The length of the game is very good for the price. We would highly recommend for gamers who like a challenge, but can appreciate the personality of the developer!

Update: Thanks for your timely response. Your solution made it possible to finish the game and that goes a long way. Great game indeed! Make more, take our money. Fun game but gets convoluted at the end. There is no hint button that we see. For the life of us we cant figure out how to get the detective to tell us to round up the suspects. We’ve seen the online walkthrough but it is too vague when referring to the lady watching the kids who might have witnessed the motorcycle rider. She wont talk.

Got to the little shack, logged in successfully but the puzzle is impossible. We hate all the time put into the game and we cannot proceed so we just stop playing then uninstall it, that being said we are only upset about it because this game is great. It is an awesome point and click adventure type game. We guess because it is new there are no walkthroughs from any players and the developers website has a hint system but it just says coming soon. Hopefully Ill come back to it someday. Thank u!
