Pretty fun, likable and not that difficult, its more like a learn/repeat game which could and is fun at times. Controls do get slightly annoying at times but you can learn them. After getting the deluxe the levels got insanely long, 10-15 minutes of the same gameplay does get tiring.
Cool game. Surprised more people dont play it. We cant figure out how to repair our primary tank but its cool.
If its hexage releasing a mobile game you can be sure its gonna look AMAZING and have a really good soundtrack as well. These games dont follow recent trends of being trash-ware that copies everything else popular at the moment. Flying tank is a great arcade game.
Love the game. Runs smooth and has great graphics. Glad there is an option to purchase the game (which we did). Plus theres extra ships available once you purchase. Can customize each ship your liking. Nice simple fun. Definitely worth the purchase.
The game offers appeal and entertaining moments. But please enable controllers. It would be an excellent upgrade for this amazing game.
Pretty short. Beat in 3 sittings, but its awesome! Fun to unlock the ships and upgrades. Lots of different weapons. We play all of these 2d shooters. This is definitely one of our favorite ever.
Love the playability of the game and the graphics. Challenging enough for casual gaming when you are waiting. However, this game crashes in our iPhone 13 and 17 constantly. In the middle of a game it will just shut the game down and you have to restart the mission. This is a big buzz kill.
Normally we would give the game a 5/5 star review but something recently happened that lowers it for us. We have this glitch where one of our tanks just refuses to recover. Specifically our Ronin has been destroyed for weeks now and still hasnt recovered despite having the black box upgrade full maxed out and having replayed and done mission after mission and it still hasnt recovered. We even deleted the game, reinstalled it, got back all our progression, and IT STILL HASNT FIXED THE ISSUE. Usually with our other tanks after fully replaying a mission or two they come back, but this one just refuses to do that for no reason. Please fix this, we dont use ronin at all but not having it there as an option at least is annoying. Thank you.
Plz tell us why our upgrades keeps disappearing? Like whats the point in upgrading if its gonna disappear.

We like the game a lot, but going through the tutorial all over again every time is really annoying and then you should be able to get health every now and again we should be able to get health every now and again or reach a safe point or something this is what we think of the game, but this is just one of our guyss opinion And Id like to be able to change the ordinance.
The game is very fun when plenty of upgrades and ships. We just dont understand the tank recovery. Ive had recoveries take an hour up to 24 hours. Its annoying.
Great game but too short . We need an endless mode that gets harder with time for a new challenge.

When upgrade, this amazing game.
It took us 5 hours of non stop grinding to reach the boss and it took less than 2 minutes to beat it, some weapons might need a nerf, but other than that its amazing game.

Its been a long time since Ive found a game like this that we can actually say it was worth paying for. Just play it and youll see what we mean.
Second update: we saw today on the Nintendo Eshop that Flying Tank has been released there as well! Gonna double dip and spread the word among Switch users. Update: we feel we need to address some of the dumber reviews on here: people, if you lose your tank, it doesnt take hours to get back! First, you have several tanks. So, if your tank explodes, use another one until that one gets repaired. It usually takes one or two runs with another tank to repair the first lost one. Also, you lose some upgrades, not all. Its random but its easy to get orbs and replace your lost upgrades. Its meant to be challenging so stop whining. Controls: folks, the games called Flying Tank. Youre flying a tankits not gonna respond like a mig. But the ship has inertia and it feels as it should. Controls are actually excellentpeople just need to get used to them. Lastly, and the worst of all, are the idiots complaining that it costs money. Children, just a quick lessonnobody toils over a passion project and then hands it out for free. Things actually cost money. And if youre complaining because the beginning was free and then you had to paywell, there may be no helping someone so ignorant. You should thank the devs for setting up the game in a way that lets you try before you buy. Thatd be awesome if all things in life were like thatyoud never regret a purchase. This game is so well made, has an incredibly engaging storyline, and has controls that feel super intuitive on the mobile platform. These developers and artists nailed it.
Absolutely amazing game! Huge tip right off the bat, dont buy premium until you play in both normal then easy. Game gets difficult fast and upgrades come slow. Our personal choice was to stay in easy mode for our casual play style and then bought premium and upgraded one ship. We chose the ship that gives extra biomass from hitting pilots and your guns pick up biomass. Upgrades (at least at our skill level) are necessary at later levels. We personally mastered each level as we unlocked them for the biomass and upgrades. Wish the dev would do some IAPs. More weapons, perks, ships, upgrade levels and biomass would be amazing! Please let us purchase some or all of these things to hopefully support you and to bring us more levels, ships, weapons, etc! Thanks for an amazing game.
This flying tank game would be so much better with gaming remote.
We purchased everything thing cause this game is so worth it. Working on maximizing all the missions is so rewarding.
There has been a long we havent enjoyed a mobile game full of fun! Controlling of the game is just awesome and easy, graphics are also unbeatable, we haven't seen any other game resemble this game, with such enjoyable storytelling and is fun to play.

Surprised to see when starting this game the Backbone was working. Cant say for sure how well it works or is supported but we did move the ship and fire. Ill update the review if it doesnt work as we get more into it.
Why do we need to pay for customizing? It legit said in the game trailer that we could, and its locked behind a pay wall.
We have high hopes for this game. It is very hard to control the ship and you cant fire continuously like you can in most shooters. Your ship has a clip of about 8 shots, then it has to reload. This is annoying in a shooter. The controls are basically unresponsive and your ship is slow to respond. We hope the devs can refine the game and make it less frustrating and more fun :).
No upgrades are shared. So having to wait for (at least 30 min at this point) is extra painful. We'd not have paid for premium if we knew this. Don't recommend at this point.
We'll preface this by saying we have been a Hexage fan since 2011. We've played all of their games so you could consider us a fan. Pros: Unique art style Fun gameplay Simple mechanics Very well made Particle effects out the wazoo Lots of weapons and ships to choose from Polished, clean UI Cons: It's pretty difficult right off the bat (there's an easy mode though) Missions are a bit too long. At times the screen can get CRAZY with how much is going on making it difficult to discern what is our projectile, what's an enemy projectile, what is biomass, etc. Overall an amazing game that we would recommend to everyone. 9/10.
We really admire what the developers have done here. There is some real depth to the strategy involved before you ever fly the ship in terms of weaponry and ships. The graphics are imaginative and have some wonderful secondary animations that really give life to the world. Its a very well-crafted game.
Growing up Ive always loved this guys games if not the whole of hexage believe it or not but you guys are the reason we want to design games have our own company the music the art the sounds and fun story but most of the beauty of its gunplay will always have us in awe keep up the great work man and please dont take another hiatus on us love you guys.
We didnt know what to think when we first downloaded this game except that the graphics and premise looked quite slick. But, after acclimating ourselves to the controls and gameplay we have to say that we thoroughly enjoy this title and highly recommend it. It takes a bit to get used to the controls in our opinion. We still have the issue of having our finger cover where we press to shoot. And often times we activate the secondary weapon when we mean to activate the primary and vice versa. Yet, none of that really bugs us enough or detracts enough from just how cool we believe the aesthetics, sound design, premise and rad gameplay truly is in our opinion. Whoever designed and thought up this title really gets science-fiction/sci-fi horror. They also have big time skills and talent in creating video games we believe. Certain facets of the controls or gameplay may intimidate or frustrate you in the beginning. Still, we thoroughly recommend you keep plugging along because, man, we think this game is fun as heck and absolutely worth the current sale $9.99 Deluxe upgrade (way better than constant micro-transactions and Im eternally grateful to the dev. For offering a one-time purchase, thank you.) Also, that tank, theuh, Tegra Vengador (we probably misspelled that horribly), but that tank is our favorite and when upgraded a lot, a total beast of a machine, Ive found. Many, many thanks to the developer of this video game for putting what we believe is a heavy amount of passion and skill into this exhilarating IP and for giving us such a fun and wholly unique experience. We just dig science-fiction video games done correctly and with flair like this so very much. Thanks again and God bless you and your loved ones. To us its quite engaging and fun to read and see the great stills. If Hollyweird wasnt such a defunct, DEI/ESG cesspool today. Well, we would say that the creator of this game and story could easily turn the premise into a rad science-fiction/sci-fi horror movie or television show. We truly like and enjoy the narrative that much. Thanks, again, to the people or person who made this title. Its a blast.

We dont remember enjoying a game recently as much as Flying Tank. The graphics, story and general gameplay is astonishing. We find the fact that your tank and some of its equipment get destroyed after dying is interesting because it forced us to try out other tanks and weapons, however at other times it bothered us a little that we cant use our good tank again and we have to spend a lot of biomass for upgrades again. Overall great game! Purchased the deluxe version and still playing it.
The visuals of this game are 10/10, colors, design, explosions, enemies. Very atmospheric and moody game with an interesting story to boot. Love the customizable ships and ability to upgrade. Only a few missions in but absolutely love the game. Hope its not too short.
Very few mobile games can give you that perfect feeling that this game gives. The way you can control with an offset finger in the left side of the screen and shoot/bombard with your right side thumb is genius. And we love that we can flick the screen to send our tank to a certain area too. The controls are top notch. The art style is impressive too, not something Ive seen in any other game. And even when youre going crazy with bullets flying everywhere its still smooth as butter and easy to tell your bullets apart from the enemies projectiles. Very enjoyable landscape style space shooter style game but with a spooky alien / lovecraftian twist.

This is a great shooter. We immediately upgraded to premium as we envision countless hours of destruction. The graphics are clean and well done, motion is fluid as well. The controls are intuitive, and generally work well. A hidden gem of a game.
The controls make us crazy! Feels like swimming in gravy, and have tried both offset and virtual a joystick with no noticeable effect. (joystick was pretty close, but felt unresponsive quite a bit.) otherwise the game is fun as heck, the graphics are beautiful, and its just plain ol FUN! We especially appreciate the very distinct lack of advertisements popping up every few seconds, like most mobile apps lol.
But the penalty for dying is too great. We have 1 upgraded ship, and if its destroyed, it takes waaaay too long to recover. During the wait theres nothing else that we can do with the game. It makes us hesitate to start a new level.
We bumped into this one day as it happened to find itself in our App Store feed. The icon alone looked worthy of a checkout and immediately it got our attention inside. The Artwork is AAA quality and the gameplay is gorgeously fun! We bought the premium as True Artists like this Must be supported! So GOOOOOOOOOD.
