Find out what gamers are saying about Forever Lost: Episode 1 SD:

We would have given it 5 stars if we could have listened to podcasts or audiobooks while playing. We could turn the sound for the game off but not listen to anything else in our phone.

We love the Forever Lost series, and this is a good introduction to it (although we recommend playing Alices Cabin first to get some backstory and a feel for how these games work). Its shorter than the subsequent two games in the series, but no less challenging. The puzzles fit neatly into the story and are part of the environments, which we find far more interesting than your standard hidden object/slider puzzle/combination lock puzzle games in the genre. There are plenty of great puzzles in Forever Lost, and we didnt find any of them to be so frustrating we couldnt solve them without hints (although putting the game down for a while and coming back with fresh eyes helped). The atmosphere is spooky, but its obvious that the developers have tongues planted firmly in cheeks, which lightens the mood (and occasionally provides solutions). We found the SD version to look just fine on both our iPhone and our iPad, and it didnt hinder gameplay in the least, but we guess if you have the extra $ to spend on HD, why not. The experience is definitely worth it.

Glitch games has a fantastic way of creating a creepy atmosphere and yet leaving out the horror element. We found myself getting sucked into our satisfyingly dark surroundings without getting disturbed and spooked! Nothing jumps out at you, there’s no screaming, or ghostly sounds. It brilliantly pulls you into the environment in a different way with its dark halls and haunting music. This is a difficult thing to accomplish without the element of surprise. So kudos to Glitch Games! The attention to detail is phenomenal. All the puzzles are done in different ways. Pushing buttons, turning keys, lining up symbols. And there is even a game within the game which we found incredibly clever! All in all, a genius game and there is more where that came from.

We’ve finished all the Forever List series. We love how the mystery unfolds bit by bit as you work through the puzzles. Inventive use of clues. We appreciate the camera feature.

An ad for something coming up February 2020 pops up during the game between every screen change, and in parts of the game it wont get off the screen at all. We cant see around it to play. This is obnoxious and made the game a waste of money.

ForeverLost is PRECISELY the type of game we were hunting for. Perfect for traveling (planes/trains) with a solid storyline that compels you to solve the puzzles through games 1, 2, and 3. Theres an actual conclusion – amazingly – to tie everything together that inspired you to play the games all over again, now that you know the thing. Graphics/art/navigation are all great. Puzzles are varying levels of difficulty but worthwhile.

We’ve played just about every escape game. We live the room series games so thinking this was similar we paid for it….. Wrong, this game makes no sense, it was a waste of money.

We very much enjoyed this game. After reading the reviews we expected it to be super short, but we felt like we got our money’s worth. We only gave it 4 instead of 5 because of the sudden ending.

We were really worried about this game when there was a glitch in the very first puzzle… It said we "completed the puzzle" when we first touched it. And some of the reviews made it sound unplayable. In our case, playing version 1.6 on an iPhone 6s Plus, that was the only major glitch. There were some others, like text appearing half off the screen or "tools" not working quite right, that really should be ironed out since this game has been out for 3+ years, but nothing that made the game too frustrating. We agree with previous reviews that it’s weird to have a bunch of unused tools at the end of the game. Beyond that it felt like there were loose ends, but no indication they could be tied up. There were many upsides to this game as well: the puzzles were fun and some were quite innovative. And for the price it is quite a long game. Probably 2+ hours for us (but we are a completionist and kind of slow besides). Overall, we think the game was definitely worth the $2 we spent, but we don’t know if we’ll buy the next two sequels. The frequent glitches didn’t ruin this game, but they do show a lack of care by the game makers. Maybe we’ll just go play The Room again.

Ok, it isn’t The Room franchise, but it is an awesome game. The hint system is a bit wonky (maybe this gets better in the later installments, we just started this series) but the story is intriguing and the graphics are quite good. After completing the game, we had many items left unused which confused us. Am we supposed to go back and figure out what we missed, or is it intentional? The lack of intuitive play is why it’s not a 4 or 5 star rating for us.

1 star, only because we can’t rate it "zero stars".

We love the first two games in the series. Enough that we actually replayed them again to catch up before we play this game. We have been waiting with baited breath for a long time for this game to come out and we must say we are not the slightest bit disappointed. The puzzles are complex and hold your interest even when you’re stumped. Fantastic soundtrack, great visuals, and quite the little mind bender. We highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys puzzle games and especially to anyone who enjoyed Myst. We have waited a long time for any game to stack up to myst and have been consistently disappointed until the series. The storyline is excellent. It is certainly worth playing one and two before you play this one in order to experience the entire journey. We sincerely hope that Glitch will make another in the same genre perhaps even as a paralegal storyline. We would certainly like to experience Alice’s side of things. We will say any game they come out with us we will gladly purchase as they have yet to let us down or lower their standards. This series is by far our favorite game for iPhone ever and we have played a lot of iPhone games.

Great game, and ran great on our older iPad 2. We’re already downloading the 3rd one right now!

This was an interesting and very clever game. But it was just a bit boring; everything looks the same, you forget which room had what, and there wasn’t enough puzzles.

We are in love with Forever Lost and we were ecstatic when we found out that there was a Forever Lost 2!

Extremely well thought out, wonderful graphics. Must play if you enjoy this genre of game!

How do you plus in the stupid key board.

We absolutely love this series. We really believe this game should at least be in the top 50 puzzle games, maybe even the top 10. We have played both 1 & 2 and we are salivating over anticipating the 3rd. We spend a lot of time in bed due to medical issues and hardly any other game had been able to make time seem to fly. Keep up the awesome work on your games – you have been able to confound our boredom.

Fun, challenging without being impossible.

Was enjoying game very much, until every time we touch an object, it sends us back to the start room. We are so frustrated & mad, because we paid for this game. Now we’re glad we didn’t buy the part 2 when we bought the first one. So unless these bugs get fixed, we’re done with Glitch games.

This game is so cool up until you go to the glitch screen and it actually glitches.

Keep get sent back to first room and now am stuck. No controls, no way to go back or continue, just a big picture, can’t move out of the game. If we could I’d give it zero stars since the game can’t be played.

Hate games u pay for and it’s still a bad game.

Went to the website to get help with questions and the contact links don’t work (bet the newsletter link works) so we went to Glitches website typed in our questions and explained the problems we were having hit and got a server error. Toyed the same long letter on our iPad and computer and still got server errors. How do you take pictures of the clues..

Became hooked on these types of games with The Room. This game was pure frustrating crap.

This game had the perfect level of difficulty. We felt challenged the entire time playing it, but never had to resort to cheating due to the puzzles being too obscure as seen in similar games. We liked how certain puzzles had the same clue in more than one place, so chances are that if you missed one, you would find the other and not get stuck. Our favorite feature that we believe is unique to this game, is the camera. Every other game in this genre that we have played in the past, we found myself taking lots of notes on our PC just to solve the riddles. Being able to take in game snapshots and then even draw on them or take notes on them is pure genius and should be a new standard for the genre. We just finished the game, and our only complaint is that we wish we wan’t done with it already. We are very impressed that the whole game was developed by 3 guys. The ideas and story alone must have taken quite a bit of time and thought. We can’t wait until Episode 2 is released!

Great game. Can’t wait for pt 2. Nice puzzles, features were good. Camera helped out a lot, didn’t have to get a pen n paper for once.

You have to play this game you won’t be disappointed! Loved the graphics and the gameplay. The difficulty level is just right and, unlike several escape games, nothing is too abstract; you just need plain old logic and common sense. A great feature is the use of the camera and ability to write on the pictures you take. Also LOVED the ending! It didn’t end abruptly; we don’t like when we’re playing a game when all of a sudden it just ends. One thing that bothered us was that we were left with several used items (banana, fuel lantern, pictures cards). Feel like we missed something where we were supposed to use them. All in all one of the best games for the iPhone. Cannot wait for Episode Two!!!

Fantastic, anxious to start episode 2 as soon as it’s available.

It’s a amazing game and the second needs to come out. We want to find out what is going on!!

This game immediately drew us in and we couldn’t put it down until we figured it out. Hurry with the second episode!!!!

We just beat this game and loved the mystery and suspense of it. Give it a try!

We’re glad there were hints provided as there was so much puzzle combined into 1 with the game that we wouldn’t be able to have remembered each scenario. That being said it was a blast and the hints (when we hit a standstill) didn’t necessarily give us the answers but made us use our brain and make the connections on our own; sort of like pointing us in the right direction and we could go from there. We rather enjoyed that aspect instead of being given the answers. We would recommend this game for all who love mystery puzzle apps like this. We have several we like and unfortunately have to wait forever until the next installments but regardless we will for sure be downloading the 2nd installment of this app when it becomes available!

When first started this game we thought that we wasnt going to like it but then we played it…. And wow! One of the best ios we’ve played so far… Cant wait for episode 2.

This game was so much fun when we were stuck we were given hints provided by the game we also loved the mystery of it!

Addicting, tons of fun, great graphics.

This was really fun and scary addicting. One of the best puzzlers on iTunes.

Great. Love it. Sometimes we almost delete it but we can’t bring myself to do it. It’s too much fun! :)

This was a ton of fun, we couldn’t put it down. We are hungry for another episode. Please hurry!

Well thought out and fun to play. They added a lot of value for this game, can’t wait for what they do next.

This game is a great spine-tingling puzzling story of you who wake up in an insane asylum and trying to get out like others before who have left you clues. This is a great game with a surprising twist at the end. We can’t wait for the sequel.

It was a great game, and we’re anticipating a sequel Hopefully this had a whole background story because we got deeply interested in the characters portrayed through files and documentation Definitely a game we intend to look into when there is a release of Ep. 2 (P.S. More chapters per episode would be nice!)

Greatest escape game we have played on the iPad. Love the camera and ability to take notes. Please make more episodes!

We wanna see the 2nd game! Super excited! Amazing game, awesome puzzles, and unique in its genre. Fun game, definitely worth buying.

This game is a fun PnC game. The puzzles and the atmosphere ( the ATMOSPHERE) are really engaging. The atmosphere reminds us of Slender Man games, and you’d think he’d be in this game around the corner or in that room that’s lit with a lamp facing the wall. And you just get that spine tingling sense when playing wherever!
