We played 90% of the game but at last 2 step where the spider turns to monster or where the graveyard yield pumpkin. Both the time the page goes to home page and the game stops. So frustrating. We are not able to finish the game.
Yr character has to chop off a horses head. We kinda hated that.we dont mind killing people in games but uh killing horses n dogs gives us the willies. All the dead stuff n body parts dont bother us, of course- we know its a creepy game. Anyway also this game has Lots of ads. Lots. We wish we knew how the long game lasted bc Id buy it if was long but some in this series are short. So idk. We like how its drawn n the mood of the game is great we just didnt like killing the horse.
If youre like us and are obsessed with the rusty lake style games, this is the series for you!! They have awesome puzzles, a connected plot line, and just enough creepiness to keep you on your toes and then some. The puzzles were difficult but not impossible, perfect for us since we find lots of puzzle games too predictable and easy. The only thing we would mention is that there are some minor spelling errors in the narration. Other than that, amazing! :).
The art was beautiful and at times it genuinely got scared! The puzzles are challenging and it is overall a very well rounded game.
This game is super fun and creepy! Recently every time we open the game the screen tries to load an ad but just goes black with the games audio still playing.
Paid $2 to play ad free and still see ads. On top of the game glitching and auto rotating in a way where we can't play it forcing us to start over.
Yes something is definitely missing from this game, like any actual hints or intuitiveness to the puzzles. Although it is a really good amateur version of the rusty lake franchise. We cant say it was enjoyable.
Im a huge fan of the Forgotten Hill games and would recommend this to everyone who likes challenging and creepy puzzle games. One glitch we found though, we had just gotten a key to a cabinet but as we used it, we accidentally transferred to another room. We heard the sound of the door open but when we got back to check, it wasnt and we didnt have the key in our inventory anymore. So, be careful with that or youll have to reset the full thing. Still though, great game. We hope to play more of these.
Like other reviewers, Im a huge RL fan and always looking for similar games. Im also a fellow developer and a gamer in general (so Ive played hundreds of games lol). This is one of the best point and click adventure series. They are good in all the ways RL was good but have a very unique story that is much darker. It immediately starts off with death if that puts things into perspective. We havent totally finished but we had to come here to leave this 5 star review because its just that good.
Ok, Im a big fan of Rusty Lake and since Ive finished all of those, we are always on the hunt for games similar to them, which we have been unsuccessful so far until we played Forgotten Hill Mementos. Just when we thought we had finished the game and was thinking thats it?, oh no, that wasnt it and it continued on and continued to get even creepier and had a few jump scares that we wasnt expecting. But if you are looking for a challenging room escape game with good puzzles that will make you almost pull your hair out, this is the game. We loved it and Im ready to play the rest of the games in the series. Thank you to the developers for a fun game that is just as fun as Rusty Lake.
Love these games!!!! And even better they are free! Great puzzles and fairly challenging. We like how you can watch an add for a hint but it wont give away the entire puzzle. You MUST get this.
This was an excellent game. Tricky puzzles and just sick enough to keep our attention. Whatever your developers are on, Id love to buy a bottle of it! Keep em coming.
Could have been a good little game, but theres no option to not have ads, and theyre constant. Theres a few good puzzles, didnt run into any bugs…but those ads really wrecked it for us. Sorry, but there are a lot of great games out there, and Im willing to pay for a good experience. The developers really made a bad decision turning it into nothing but a vehicle for ads.

Creepy story, puzzles were challenging and fun. The Forgotten Hill series is obviously a labor of love and we can't wait for the next chapter. Also, there are very few ads which is nice. Help out the developers with an in app purchase and show your support – we're sure they would appreciate it.
Fun and not too difficult. Neat atmosphere and enjoyable throughout. Highly recommended.
