Description
Fran Bow is a creepy adventure game that tells the story of Fran, a young girl struggling with a mental disorder and an unfair destiny.
After witnessing the gruesome and mysterious loss of her parents, found dismembered at their home, Fran rushes into the woods, together with her only friend, Mr. Midnight, a black cat that Fran had previously received as a present from her parents.
In the forest, Fran goes into shock over the loss of her parents and when she recovers, she’s at Oswald Asylum, an oppressive mental institution for children, and Mr. Midnight is nowhere to be found.
After having a dream about her beloved cat, Fran decides to escape from the mental institution to find him and go back home to Aunt Grace, her only living relative.

6/17/18 we just finished chapter 2 and know we will play all of them. The storyline is extremely dark, yet there is some occasional comic relief. A tiny bit of cuteness, too. It’s the train wreck you can’t look away from. We already know we will play to the end. Can’t believe that in the middle of all this blood and depression they had us play Frogger! HAVE to love developers like that. 07/10/16 we finished the entire game while ago. Chapter one seems to be the scariest of all. Each chapter is so different it’s hard to explain. We really did love this! Well done!
Best game ever! These’s a true nightmare within. Music is beautiful, matches perfectly with the scenes, we can see myself buying all chapters!
We love this game but it is bloody scary and gory so if your not in that type of thing we dont recommend but 5 stars.
We played fran bow around two years ago and now we decided to play it again. IT IS SERIOUSLY SUCH A GREAT STORY AND THE GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING!!
The bugs are probably happening on older devices. Our iPad2 can’t run this game but our iPhone 6 Plus works perfectly. This game is total MK Ultra btw. Very dark, disturbing, not for kids. We’re not a fan of that type of thug per se we’re just saying it’s a definite theme of this strange tale.

This game was like a breath of fresh air! It was like finding an incredible book that you can’t put down. The suspense and mystery melded perfectly with a captivating story. It was worth whatever we spent on each of the chapters. We can’t wait to play more games by these developers!
We enjoyed this game a lot. We played the first 3 chapters so far and the first two chapters are a bit disturbing but the third one is really cute. Fran Bow is the new intensified Emily the Strange.

We see Im late to this game, but we absolutely LOVE it!!!!! Just finished Chapter 5 today and Im so sad that the creators dont have more games to offer. We hope that changes soon.
We NEVER leave reviews for anything in the App Store. First things first, we never had a single crash on this game. Played all 5 chapters and not a single issue. Secondly, this is an absolutely incredible game. It was such an amazing ride. You really have to use your brain in this game. The imagery and storyline will have you hooked after the first few minutes of gameplay. Our only complaint is that we need to have 1,000 more chapters!!
We didn’t encounter any of the bugs that ppl were complaining about. It’s now June we had no bug issues so whatever it was it’s totally fixed :) Words cannot describe how much we love this game, like totally love every aspect of it! Hands down the best point and click adventure game that we’ve played in years!!!! Our second favorite point and click after maniac mansion. Please please come out with more games like this series!!!!!!! Totally loved it, no complaints at all and we’re picky about our point and click adventure games. A+ times a billion.
Amazing game. Dark concept, it really makes you take a step back and look at the world from a different view. The tim burton like animations add greatly to the charm of the whole storyline. The cute factors mixed in with the gory scenes make for a magnificent gameplay experience. We don’t particularly like puzzle games (like… At all) but this one is very very interesting. Recommend you to buy 100%. We’ve already played the entire game series. Loved it.
We really want to like this game, but within a few moments of opening it, it crashes. Every. Single. Time. Ugh.

Just a head start to anyone who is just about to start chapter 1, for a starter, its really gory at points,and remember, when your in the office,if you go on the pills,and see a skeleton with a lump with paper on top underneath the skeleton,dont click on it because its super gross. If you wanna know what it is btw, it an unborn child. Ew.

Such a great game! We almost didn’t buy because of all the negative reviews saying it stopped working but for us it never stopped working. We played the whole game to chapter 5 and loved it never had a glitch or a single problem. For those people having one we would look to see if your phone is compatible and has up to date software. 10$ well spent.
This is so cool and we love all the stories and music its so fun and we like how the first chapter kinda normal and then it gets weirder very cool.
This game was the game that got us to enjoy reading our mom bout it for us when we were five or six The story plot and every little detail is amazing and we like how you can have different choices on a few things and they still work ten out of ten would saw amazing game we love you Can make the character think just like young girl and it just be how a girl would actually think.
We love this game so much we do not recommend buying it if youre under 7 but if youre looking for something fine with puzzles and a little bit creepy this game is definitely for you whenever we get bored we just come to this game (I think we play it too much) we recommend it it is so fun!
Yes, its an amazing game. But there should be a viewer alert due to the countless images of overdone gore/blood & murder scenes. Wasnt planning on purchasing this game since it seemed like a money pit: its broken down into 5 chapters at $1.99 each. But tried the first chapter and was immediately hooked. Im NOT a fan of gore or psychological horror games… Especially when it comes to children. But Fran Bow is such a sweet, innocent character with her bestie Mr Midnight, that her kindness and giggles balanced out the macabre. Strange dichotomy in an adventure game. But it worked. Because the creativity, amazing world building, interesting characters and unusual puzzles really drew us in and wishing for more (with less gore). But this game is also an expose of psychological trauma in children. These devs must have done a lot of research to understand how severe trauma affects the psyche of children. And while its a taboo topic, society must face such realities in order to have Compassion & Empathy for the most vulnerable. The devs were able to touch on the mental breaks actually found in children while leaving the character intact and finding personal strength & control. Maybe its the storyline… Maybe its the heart wrenching empathy we feel for the suffering of innocents… But this is one of those games that just leaves a permanent imprint. That said… This game should have an age restriction. So much blood and gore. And please… Dead babies should NEVER be used as prop imagery in a game…. Never. Each chapter took about an hour and we do feel like we got our moneys worth.
This is the only game we played as soon as we saw Markiplier play it, and just know, it’s the perfect game of perfect characters, a perfect storyline, perfect mixtures of terror and calm, and perfect gameplay with perfect music.

We played the full game and we loved it so much. We cant explain how amazing this game is. So much detail and work and we love the story and the back story. We love the ending and the land isthersta. The last words she said were so deep and inspiring. Between guilt and fear, we choose happiness Great outstanding job! Also if you do make a part 2 of this.. What if it was about another child in the asylum like Annie or Isabelle?

It had no bugs for us , and its a great game we got creeped out some and found it very fun , even though we finished it in a day, we wish it was a bit longer but we havent even downloaded the rest of the chapters and Im exited to , not a waste of money for us () Marley.
TOUR DE FORCE wonderful! We laughed, we cried; we were mad, angry, disgusted, curious, delighted, and overjoyed. This is the best game of its type ever. No joke. That two people with no technical background developed it is amazing. We love you guys!
There is a bug in the game so every time when we try to load it it will crash needs to be fixed but awesome game.
We LOVE THIS GAME TO BITS! If you are considering buying this game (and the rest of the chapters) we have a fair warning. This is NOT for the faint of heart. There IS blood and gore, but thats part of what makes it good. If you DONT like watching intestines falling from the sky then dont get this game But if you are fine with gore, definitely buy this. Its a sad yet hopeful story about a ten year old girl who is so innocent that what is happening to her is so completely unfair that it makes you want to see the end. If you are one of those people who buy/play point and click games and whenever people are talking you just clickclickclickclick till theyre done, this game is not for you. The art style is BEAUTIFUL, we love the Tim Burton vibes this game gives off. This game is what inspires our LOVE for HORROR games. We had our friends play this and they all had nightmares for weeks! They were all legitimately angry at us for a long time Dont go to all the most critical, because thats full of 12 year old girls who are impatient and if a game crashes ONCE they think they have the right to sue everyone. We love the series, once you start playing you get hooked through to the end of the last chapter. Its definitely Grimms Fairty Tales meets Mark Ryden! Loved Mr Midnight, the cat!! We think Fran Bow will be especially appreciated by arty, creative types and will most likely remain a cult classic. We have a 2018 ipad pro (iOS 12.0) and experienced zero glitches whatsoever!
We wish you all would clump all of these games together for one fee. We love these games but at $2 each- it’s so much for such a short game. Please consider "the clump?"

No bug issues for us. We can’t tell if whoever made this game was having a good or bad shroom trip. Because woow! But fun point and clicker. Some of the puzzles are a little obscure but there’s plenty of walkthroughs online.
This is the smartest game made since UnderTale… We dont usually say this but this game ties and it is bomb.
We really enjoyed the Fran Bow series (except the last chapter, but that’s a different review). It’s immersive, the art is enjoyable, and it’s good, creepy fun. The designers did a nice job fleshing out an interesting world and it ran fine on our iPad Mini. We recommend it overall, but we were disappointed in the conclusion.
We only gave this game 4 stars because it is to bloody for kids! But we do love this game! But we are a kid!
We’ve tried everything the sound just doesnt work, we love this game and we love kill Monday walk through we got little misfortune for our Nintendo switch after seeing the Fran bow walk throughs and we love playing this but theres no audio feedback when we play. Its a great game and its so amazing and we love every moment of it but Im a bit disappointed we cannot hear the game.
We bought the first one and loved it. Played it all the way through without any help. The alarm code was tough, but finally figured it out. The only reason that we gave this 4/5 stars is it’s the buying of the next game. We much have rather have paid like $6 for a bundle pack. Now, we really enjoyed the first chapter, but now we’re thinking about… Do we want to spend $10 for the rest of the series? We rather have played one long continuous game rather than now deciding after every game, do we really want to continue? We wish that was an option for purchase. Like other games (and we play/ pay a lot for adventure/ escape games), the first chapter is free then I, the consumer, decide if we want to buy the rest as a bundle pack, which I’d be willing to do. At any rate, the first chapter was quite good. The only comment we would say about the game is that the response rate is a bit slow when changing screens (pressing the eyeball to switch rooms took several taps) and clicking on certain items took several taps as well to interact with them. We have an iPhone 7+ and an updated iOS. Other than that a good game. We’re still considering buying chapter 2? But, because we paused our gameplay, it gives us time to think if we want to spend more money. The developers deserve to get paid, we get that! But now that we’ve stopped, do we want to pay more?
