Community Insight:
This is the best one we've come across so far.
Even has a mode to host local games. Simple design and does what it says! Highly recommended.
The way this works is, you create a server and your family/friends can join! The host will press ask question! And the players will buzz in if they know the answer! You say the question out loud you dont type it in.
We LOVE this app. We used it used it with our APUSH class and our students love how efficient it was. So easy to navigate. Such geniuses who created this.
We used it for jeopardy with our family and it worked well with timing and points.
We have been looking for this app for a while now. Its perfect for friends and family. It basically substitutes traditional buzzer games like Whos First.
We spend so long looking for the perfect app for game night, and this one is the best by far. No ads, completely free, and simple interface. Im very happy with our decision.
App enjoyed by 8/9 people. The fried calamari of apps.
Perfect way to add fun and wrap up our virtual team meeting.
We were playing Fortnite and then we found this awesome buzzer app! Now we can troll our friends by pressing an annoying buzzer! 11/10.
The local works great but the big room needs work. It says cant host. Otherwise great app.
This app works great in our classroom, except that students with a faster connection buzz in first EVERY time and the other players lose interest. It would be great if there was a way to even the playing field so it wasnt based only on connection speed.
We used this app (non-server mode) for a homemade Jeopardy game last night (3 players) and it worked pretty well up until the end when it kicked everyone out. We knew this was an issue from reading other reviews so we were screen recording so scores wouldnt be lost if it happened. Other than increased stability our two biggest requests would be to 1. Allow people to join teams and have their scores added together and 2. Allow for a custom option to input in your own point value for a question (not all the traditional double Jeopardy point values are options as of now). Thanks for this app though, still better than anything else Ive tried on the App Store :) Update 8/24/19: Reduced by one star, attempted to use server mode with a group of 6 people, Buzz In never appeared as an option for some players, tried restarting their apps and then they were unable to rejoin period. Had to completely abandon playing, very disappointed.
Only the host can see the scoreboard… It would be a 5-star if everyone could see where their point total is compared to the field. ALSO, the app should also be allowed to split screen.
App just says we cant host a game. So pretty unusable.
We know that we have reliable Internet but this app gives us an error message anytime we try to host a game using their server option. So basically we can only use the local version. Guess Ill have to find another buzzer app.
Keeps crashing and have to rejoin.
Why does it keep crashing so many times. It lets us out a display name and then it says buzz in but after that it crashes. We tried 20x. Same outcome. Come on.
They kept disconnecting from the host.
App awards points for everyone who buzzes in regardless of whether answer is right or wrong.
Tried using this in class. Kept kicking us out every minute.
It knocks you out if the game on a regular basis then wont let you rejoin your group. Frustrating.
We cannot is Ben goin the game after typing the correct code. This has happened to us many, many times. Do not use it.
We tried it and didnt like it. The game kept logging us out and was a real party pooper.
Our players were logged out constantly from the game. We ended up not using at all. Totally useless.
The app worked for all of 10 seconds.
This app started off really great but midway through our game of Jeopardy with the family, it kicked everyone out and the buzzers wouldnt buzz when people pressed it. The game of Jeopardy had 4 players and it was having these issues. Great concept but would love to see more point options.
We had an epic time using this would play with 14/10.
We were looking for a quality buzzer app for game night and this fit the bill.
We were using the app for our students to play Jeopardy with buzzers. They downloaded the app but when we were playing the app would kick out some of the players or close on its own. Would love to see this fixed. Otherwise its great.
Excited to use this app for our family reunion jeopardy game. Unfortunately it crashed constantly for all users and we had to stop using it after only a few questions.
