This app is really well designed and easy to use! Unlike the other backgammon apps, you can actually play with your friends live. The chat feature is great that allows you to talk to your friend while playing the game! Highly recommend.
The app is designed for leisurely play, with large gaps between moves. Thats fine. The problem is that, unless youre looking at the board when your opponent moves, or you memorized the positions before the move, its not clear what their roll was or where they moved. This makes for a strange game in which you have little knowledge of your opponents moves or style of play. Second, the graphics, white checkers on white points and black checkers on a black bar, make it easy to miss checkers. Third, the doubling cube stays in the middle, so its hard to see who owns it after a double. Lastly, the app burns through battery for no obvious reason. The phone gets hot while using it.
Dice Rolls are Suspect and not random.
Was playing happily along with a friend and there were a few freezes that required us to force close and reopen, then it glitched fatally and not even deleting and reinstalling is helping. Also, costs to use the chat feature or to get a different color board are astronomically high.
While the update is shaper and a bit less glitchy the feature that shows you where a selected piece can move, after the roll, to is no longer. It made the digital version of the game much more pleasurable. If any developer reads this, please bring this back! (Or allow for players to toggle it on and off).
Our only complaint is the founder beat us like a red headed step child ;-).
Im seriously addicted to this app. Its so much more fun playing against real people, and the new update made it SUPER fast & smooth.
Best backgammon to play with friends but since the last update neither we nor our friend can log in to play. Good size board – easy connection – good layout – but please fix the app.
This is a great way to keep your backgammon skills sharp and is much more fun than playing against a computer.
This app is full of bugs. The latest one being it forces you to move the higher number on the dice first. Theres to many bugs in the app.

We were pleasantly surprised with the ease of use of the FriendGammon compared to the other apps in the App Store . This apps ease of use , intuitive touch features and aesthetically pleasing board colors make it a daily game for our friends and we . The nudge feature is the key as we can use multiple screens while waiting for our opponent to make a move . So double down and download it now. SB.
Great way to keep busy and stay off IG, also a great way to improve your backgammon game and stay in touch with people you dont talk to as much.
We love this app, and we use it to stay in touch with our friends near and far. Its a great way to play at your own pace. It is also the app that the Venice Backgammon Club uses outside of meetups.

We never played before until a friend invited us. Now we cant get enough. The game is easy to Pick up but hard to master which is the perfect game for us. No 2 games are alike and this app keeps it simple and fun. A must download.
The dice seem weighted, after playing 50+ game. We dont trust the dice. Also it would be awesome to implement the one dice opener to figure out who goes first.
This app has a play with friends feature, which we havent seen anywhere else. You can add friends using their username. Notifications tell you when a friend has made a move. Very cool.
So much better than any other app out there. Love being able to play our friends easily, and without a bunch of phony graphics. This will be the chess.com of backgammon.
