Gailardia can now be played with this application, including the sequel. However, video ad viewing is required. Sorry.

If medieval and royalty RPG are your thing, then this will be a considerably enjoyable experience for you. It also includes an item completion feature and other fun elements to keep you entertained! The English version was created from the original Japanese version, so no balance changes have been made. Hence, leveling up and gold acquisition efforts may require a effort and time.

—Gailardia 2
Gailardia 2 is a tale that takes places 100 years after its prequel Gailardia. It has become clear that the three heroes in Gailardia have disappeared after the battle. (But if you haven’t played Gailardia then you will still be able to understand the tale).

This time with true RPG taste, 4 people are on a journey who can each assume jobs. Adoption of a unique method for assuming high ranking jobs. Capability of changing jobs.

—Gailardia
Our story takes place a century after Gailardia 2. This latest installment wraps up the trilogy. Again a party of four heroes set out on a journey, undertaking various jobs as they do so. Special items will allow you to give all your characters Advanced Jobs and change between jobs. Gailardia 3 also allows the player to rearrange the order of party members.

The new Full Heal magic conveniently lets you restore full HP to your entire party (though not during battle). Other improvements include a greater variety of backgrounds during battle and an easier-to-read, full-screen World Map.

3 games that are fun to begin with but get SUPER tedious about halfway through. That said, we did finish them, and we would pay for the later titles in the series if they were ported to iOS. The concepts are right on and Im sure the series continued to improve.

Fantastic game. Nothing better than an old school RPG.

Outstanding turn based old school RPG. If you loved the 8 bit Dragon Warriors and Final Fantasy, this is a game for you.

It’s an awesome game but almost every five minutes we run into a bug and am forced to reset :P please fix.

If you ever liked any of the many older JRPGs from the NES/SNES era, this one might be for you. Very remniscent of games such as the early Dragon Quests, or Lufia. Reminds us of both in various ways…. And that’s a good thing. We tend to find that many recent RPGs just dont do it for us (particularly Square’s). Often too easy, and having more cutscenes than gameplay, we have a hard time paying attention to some of them. Not so here. The actual gameplay takes center stage in the same way as those older games, and the challenge level is high compared to recent ones. And exploration is actually encouraged….. As opposed to many recent games where it seems to barely be there at all. Be warned though…. As we said above it IS harder than current games, the encounter rate is high, you cant carry 10 squillion healing items with you, and it’s possible to get lost. If you’re like us though, and you dont consider these to be BAD things…. Then you need this. We’ll definitely be picking up the sequels. Brilliant game.

Really nice game we think the update for iPhone 5 screen would be nice. And the select button shouldn’t go to the menu there is a button for that already… But great dq replica!

Love it. The graphics and battle interface remind us a lot of Dragon Warrior Monsters we and II. And this is a pretty close comparison. There needs to be more games like this.

We’re loving this game. The game play and graphics are the best we’ve found to fit our tastes, adventuresome yet not hack and slash. I’d certainly pay to play more like this one…. One at a time to give us a chance to finish the games. I’d love to play Dragon Warrior and Ultima 4 on our iPod, without it being jailbroken. For now we’re just grateful for this game. And it’s free!!!!!

Awesome graphics and old school sprites!!!! Get this game!!!! Very fun!!!! We also just bought the sequel!!!! Please make more!!!!!

Reminiscent of old-school Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest, this game is a must have for any mobile fantasy gamer. After scouring the app store for actual RPGs in the sea of dissapointment known as the "Role-Playing Game" section of the app store, we finally found a free turn-based combat JRPG, which is no easy task. Finally after ages of forced content with action RPGs we have found the holy grail of Free iOS RPGs. Get this game.

This game actually looks and works so much like early Dragon Quest games that it may be correct to call it a Dragon Quest clone, but if it is one, it is a good one. :) A lot of the player’s time will be spent exploring the massive world map, and it takes quite an effort to find your way from place to place even early on. This may not be for everyone in that regard, but us, we like it. :) In fact, the player has enough freedom to explore that often the only thing keeping you from a further region is party level & equipment. Our only issue with this game is the graphical glitches that sometimes arise while moving around. We have to remove the game from active memory to remedy this. But we enjoy and love this game. :) It even has a bit of humor. We would happily buy and play the English-language versions of Gailardia 2&3 if the developer hadn’t asked new players not to.

This game is exactly what we were looking for, a low graphic final fantasy IV style role playing adventure game! A MUST HAVE for ENYONE!

The game is great for those of us that love the Dragon Quest games. The only problem this game has is that the app closes on it’s own while we were in the middle of a fight. If they were to fix this problem we would have give it five stars!!!

Great classic style rpg. Better than a lot of them out there! Too many action rpgs out there. Our only complaint is that there are no battle animations. No distinction between swords, knives, or even spells. Other than that almost perfect!!!

Looks fun! We love this! A Dragon Quest sort of game!

Should change the way to move the characters.

It is Very reminiscent of the old Dragon Quest/Warrior games on the old Nintendo which we see as a good thing, but if you didn’t like those, you probably won’t like this either. I’d like to give the game 5 stars, but there are some issues. It occasionally glitches graphically. A save and restart fixes the problem but it happens fairly often. It can be hard to figure out what to do next, especially after getting the boat. The "hints" from the townsfolk aren’t that useful and there’s some dialog that doesn’t make any sense (probably translation errors). We’re a little torn on this because we don’t really want it completely spelled out, but a little more direction might be nice and it’s not that clear which of the townsfolk’s issues are things you can actually affect and which are just for added interest (I’m looking at you, Sally and Wood). It also requires a LOT of grinding. Again, this is how the old school JRPGs worked, but nowadays I’d prefer to actually do stuff while killing monsters.

We really want to play this game again so can u pls update pls.

This game similar to the first dragon warrior. It brings back good memories of grinding to take out the dragonlord. The best part about this game is that it is free and actually works flawless on the iPhone.

Please make sequels to this game, this game is really fun and addicting. We want to play more games like this . Please make more soon. Thank you. We see they have the second one in japanese right now when will you have it available in English? And will there be more after that? We hope so.

We love the look/style to this game. Very much looking forward to countless battles! We talk about this on episode 18 of The Daily Appster podcast. Great work!

Excellent app! Runs great! Hope it’s a lengthy game after all the time we have spent leveling up, lol.

It’s like a portable version of the original dragon warrior!!!!

This was a very pleasant surprise! A no-frills JRPG in the style of the classic 8-bit Dragon Quest games… For free! Controls work fine, even though we’re not usually a fan of virtual d-pads. The visuals, design and story are very basic (so far), but it works well for this type of game. If you used to like grinding and beefing up a party of adventurers to tackle an epic journey on your NES back in the day, you’ll love this!

A remake of dragon quests. Make more, like a remake of the original dragon quest and the other ones. This is amazing.

This game is one of the rare ones that we don’t get tired of quickly. The gameplay is simple and addicting and the load time is amazing. This game is just so easy to pick up and go with. We would have glaaaadly paid for this game.

Pretty pretty pretty good. Love the graphics and auto-battle button to ease the grind on weaker enemies.

This plays like the old NES Dragon Warrior II game. For anyone who enjoyed those games, this one is a must-have, especially with it being free. We really hope they translate II and III to English, as I’d buy them in a heartbeat!

Very good port. Please translate next chapter soon!!! Buttons are a little sensitive, but we do have large fingers so that may all… Spellcheck is our fiend ;). Our only change to software would be a chapter where you get more control of what kind of "jobs" you characters get…. Like final fantasy 1…. Have a great time gaming!!!

Awesome game. Just like dragon quest.

Fun but now we wish that we didn’t get the untranslated version and waste about 3 hours.

Awesome Nes throw back… Can’t believe it is free! I’d pay $10 for this game.

There isn’t any arcade style RPG as great as this one, 5 stars. But they totally ripped off Dragon Quest, not cool!

Thank you for the English translation! We’ve been wanting to play this for awhile now. If you like the Dragon Quest games, then this is definitely for you.

This brings back memories of final fantasy games. Although it’s old, it’s very fun and addicting, not to mention it’s completely free!

We love all the old NES-era RPGs. This one takes us back and convenient features like the easy save and "attack all" are icing on the cake.

We were saying they needed to translate the Japanese version, and they did! Lot of similarities to dragon warrior 2. Awesome.

This is a great game but we have a suggestion. We would like to choose which baddie our characters attack in a group. If there are 6 slimes in a row then for some reason our mage will attack one guy our well rounded guy will choose another (of which they will not kill) and then our warrior will pick anorher guy (sorry for forgetting their names). It gets a little frustrating when we know the most effective way to dispatch our enemies and we are dying. Thats our only big problem besides a few crashes. Thanks for this great simple (free) game.

Old school rpg brings back memories.

This is what a REAL rpg is all about. The graphics are absolutely brilliant (in it’s category) and we love the framed window view. We really hope little additions could be made. Such as choosing the color window frame, and the color of the buttons. Also, we would feel the game more personalized to us if we were able make up the character’s names. An absolutely fantastic job. Thank you for this simply brilliant, true to heart, traditional RPG. Fantastic!!

Feels just like dragon warrior. Liked that it was free and that it’s super fun. We would pay for a game like this. Please make more of these.

This is such a good game and for free?!? We think more people should know about this.

Not a whole lot of depth, but better than most rpgs in the app store.

We love it, better then a lot of payed for RPGs. It shows how simple with the classic rpg elements is better!

This seriously looks like the title says… Also screen is distorted like they got the aspect ratio wrong, also feels too much like dragon quest.
