This game by far is the best game we have ever played on mobile. (As you can see from the title) the only problem we have is with the supernova mission when you get black screened. We attempted the mission many times but to no luck. We love this game please fix this bug. Other than that everything is perfect.

For a game from 2012 this is worth it! Its got a little bit of trading a little bit of mercenary work and of course it has a really good story! You dont even have to spend money on this game.

Ive been playing this game since we were 12 years old and we are so glad it is still playable. No ads, its free, and the DLC is actually worth the money. Endless customization with equipment, weapons, turrets and more. Amazing game. If we could, we would rate it 10 stars.
Its a great game, have been playing it for forever but With the expansion pack we are also no longer able to move forward during the 3rd missing of the Supernova.
The game keeps crashing at the exact same spot that other people have stated. Please fix.

Theres a bug in mission 3 of supernova where the screen goes black upon completion. The pause button is still visible and sound effects can be heard but the game stops working. Please patch soon.

While playing supernova In the third mission always face blackscreen and cannot prceed further in the game please fix this problem ASAP coz the game is very interesting and this problem is making every players upset about it Im currently playing on iPhone 15 pro max and our iOS version is 18.5 Plz fix this issue we really want to complete the full game.
We have been playing this game since it first was released. Cant even imagine how many times Ive played it over the years. There are so many ways to play it that it never gets old. The meanwhile glitch in Supernova now prevents us from completing the game. We would be willing to buy it again if it would let us please fix the glitch.
There is place where you start the nova and after you help to get people out of the ship and help transport them to the vessel after that is done the screen shake and go blank it does need fixing.

Excellent game, we think its the best Sci~Fi game for IPad.
Dont get us wrong, this is the best mobile game in history in our opinion. Ive played GOF2 for many years and we still play it on this day. However, that bug EugeneCPV got not too long ago on mission 3 after transferring all midorians to the freighter, we also get that bug (meanwhile back in thynome), and it doesnt let us continue through the rest of the story. Not only that, in some assignments in missions 1 & 2, such as rescuing Boyle, stopping the convoy, etc., where once you complete the missions, you simply are right back in the station. For some reason, its not doing that, and we fear it might be the cause of the bug in mission 3 if Im not mistaken. If the bugs can be fixed, it can let us play the whole story without any issues. But overall, its still the best.
Im not sure who is still supporting this relic of a game (one of the greatest space games still), but the 3rd mission in supernova is still glitched after all the people are rescued and before meanwhile in thynome. We hope someone is able to look at this.
We are always on the hunt for a good campaign game that doesnt cost anything. This game here has beat out every game we have tried! Zero adds and no paying for the best gear. Obviously you can spend real money on in game currency but we just started and have already bought our third ship and have some decent primary weapons on them all. This game is hands down without a doubt worth investing the time into. Feels a little slow traveling between different star systems and planets but still very amazing!! 10 out of 10 would 100% recommend.
What weve got here is essentially a simplified-for-mobile version of Freelancer (2003), with its own little quirks and differences. The systems and gameplay are pretty simple, the story is light and doesnt take itself all too seriously. But its all part of a coherent, well-made package. Theres enough content to keep you meaningfully engaged for quite a while if you want to get all the achievements and ships. The DLC is absolutely worth the money, Supernova effectively doubling the game content. Valkyrie is a bit lighter, and the Kaamo DLC is amazing quality of life. Graphics have aged pretty elegantly in our opinion, you can tell theres some low-res here or there but its really still quite pretty. Ive probably 100%d the game at least 10 times over the last 7 or so years, and it still hasnt gotten old. TL;DR, its an excellent AA-quality, single-player offline mobile open-world space game that you can easily sink hours into anytime. DLC just makes it even better, we cant imagine just playing the base game without that added content and story.

This game has our seal of approval. Its an old game that we still play today. This game is the Infinity Blade of space shooters. Hopefully it also doesnt disappear.

Its really good to read the reviews that left a fun memory of this game. One of the early mobile games when iOS was born. Internet data was uncapped and touch screen was how cellphones would be forever. We put this game up there with ambitious titles like Shadowrun and Order&Chaos. Its what video games should be. An escape to another world. A moment of solitude where its just you and your wits. We also have memories of this game. We lived this space game simulation. And it will be one of the memories we will feel once we leave this planet for good. To the devs that made this game (not sure if its the original team anymore but to the originals), thanks.
This the best space combat game for iOS. It is absolutely amazing. We spent much of our childhood playing this. Now, 10 years later, we just finished replaying it for the sixth time. We still cant find a better game than this even after decade of time.
We know that the creators of the game probably wont see this but there is a problem with the credit transfer EX: Dr.Paolini giving you 20k but it doesnt transfer it. This game is awesome btw.
Have done 4 or 5 complete play throughs over the years and still enjoy it. For a mobile game its phenomenal visually as well as in content. It definitely gets repetitive if youre focusing on side missions and we wish theyd have done more than one new story line, but if youve never played it and enjoy the genre you wont be sorry.
We have been playing this game since the day it was released on the App Store. It never fails that every year or two we are back playing through the story, as Keith T Maxwell, again. Beautiful graphics, an unbelievable amount of game play and content, such depth in each of the characters and the story line. Its such a gem. Could truly give some of the most classic platformer games a run for their money. This game will always have a special place in our heart. Truly a timeless journey across the stars.
This is hands down the best game available on the AppStore. Have spent hours searching for games like it and nothing comes close.

Still one of the best space games Ive found and its a freaking mobile game.
Have been playing this game off and on since we were a kid. Its honestly one of our favorite space games of all time and have yet to find anything quite like it. There is a pretty decent selection of ships that you can choose from to fit a variety of roles, a whole slew of equipment you can buy to upgrade your ship, and provide a medium sized galaxy with an engaging story that you can also choose to take a break from to do your own thing like goof around, make cash, become a menace, do some side missions, upgrade/collect ships, become a merchant, etc.. Note to all, disconnect your controller if you want your controls visible again.
We still get in the mood to play this one, several years after we beat it. The fun is in being able to do whatever you want. Theres a story mode but you dont have to do it. If this game was MMO it would be amazing.

We have been playing this game for about 8 years now and every time we get a new phone we have to do another play-through of this game. Its so unfortunate that rockfish, the original developers of this game, sold out to the ultra greedy corporation that owns it now. Unfortunately we believe this game will be the last of its kind, in a market that is becoming increasingly micro transaction focused, its more likely that gameplay will revolve around robbing your wallet instead of giving you the best experience that you can get; this point is further proven by the subsequent games of this beloved franchise becoming micro transaction slop. However, galaxy on fire 2 has remained relatively untouched which we are extremely grateful for and we will continue to revisit this work of art for as long as we are able to do so. BB (thats a lot of words. To bad Im not readin em).
Got this game back when it first came out and played it for HOURS later they added DLC thats well worth the reasonable purchase. Lots of content, lots of little secrets to find and lots of ways to kit out your favorite ship all This on a mobile game is extremely impressive.
Why did they not make a 3rd GOF of this stripe??!! So many love this game and have been playing it, as in our case, since it debuted as GOF. All the follow ons were lacking, they didnt have the Maxwell swagger. If only another extension of GOF2HD was borne, that would be sweet. Anyone else.
This game is epic and needs a reboot with the same mechanics.
We first played GoF2 when it was first released in 2013, and its still a great game. The flying and dogfight mechanics are really good, and the quests, unless you have cleared them all will keep you busty.Deep Silver FISHLABS had a great franchise with Galaxy on Fire. We would love to see more development on GoF2 HD, and additions to the GoF franchise from Plaion GmbH.

This game is absolutely amazing, creative, and even wonderful.
Even though this app has been abandoned, it works. Its fun. Its old, and what passes for the enemy AI shows it, but its better than the sequel.
This is an example of what mobile games should aspire to be. The game has a very solid story line, a very fun playability and so many weapons, ships and tools to work with, and even then is not overwhelming. We played this game till the very end and took the time to collect all the ships. Its even worth playing more than once, exploring the different races, getting to know the planets and systems and getting your way around is so fun! Totally recommended.
We need DLC and updates on steam Just do it.
Have played this game for years fearing it would not continue to be updated to play in future IOS updates. Thankfully the publishers have not abandoned it. Yea, this is a keeper.
