This app has all the tools you need to load your campaign to a digital platform. We hope that paizo works with them to allow a more monsters that arent apart of the SRD because you will have to input each monster yourself.

This app has all the pathfinder npcs and creatures and gives you the ability to alter them with your own home brew specs and save em. We love it. The only thing it doesnt do is adjust a creatures overall modifiers when you increase their stats. So look out for that. Enjoy dungeon masters. This is a goodie.

We love this app. A lot of other apps for maps and things we get into and fall out of and then remember them again and remember things we don’t like. We find myself coming to this all for every single game. The do need to work on some kinks… Like we always write all our notes in other programs now because if you hit back instead of the checkmark it just deletes everything you entered. And sometime the check window pops up off screen where you can’t use it. But there are ways around it. All in all the app really great! (Now stop asking us to write a review and let us use it uninterrupted. )

The creators of this app did an excellent job. We use it to easily run several homebrew campaigns concurrently. It has trivialized tracking large combats and keeps our sessions flowing smoothly and efficiently. The UI looks great and we’ve yet to run into any significant bugs.

App layout isnt quite as intuitive and it is missing a few spells, classes, ancestries, etc. It would help to be able to create our own characters for campaigns.

Creating a session is easy and at your fingertips, but it lacks in adding buffs and debuffs, they have the options but it doesnt effect the stats.

So we were in love with this app for the first hour, building a ton of stuff for a campaign Im running, and we were trying out the initiative/health tracking feature. Well, we exited out of the feature to try and add more creatures (I bought the premium version), and now we cannot for the life of us figure out how to get the combat started again. The app has no tutorials on use, the help page was ironically no help at all, and we just cant seem to get back to the function where we can roll initiative, it is perpetually stuck on the setup combatants part of the encounter, and it doesnt give us the option to roll or set initiative. We want to love this app so much, but we have tried everything to figure out what Im missing, we’ve even reinstalled the app to get it. Please help, cause otherwise we just wasted $3 and have no more need for the app. Update: we have fingered out what happened. It never occurred to us to just click on the picture of the campaign to enter it, and we apparently did it by accident the first time. A fantastic app now that we know what to do, the only thing it could use is even just a minor tutorial.

Over all, its very useful. We have discovered to our dismay that when we create a new monster from within encounter setup and save it to the compendium it disappears after awhile. Our current workaround is to not delete any encounter where we’ve made something new, so we can just copy it back in. Theres no easy way to do that for PCs though. If you have an NPC thats become a PC either use it from the NPC list, or create a new PC by hand (as far as we can work out anyway). It would be nice if there was an easier way to copy/move PCs between campaigns and in/out of the NPC list. Still, the built in rolls are really, really nice, its pretty easy to keep all your campaign notes, encounters, and treasure together (but if you add multiple money pouches of the same type, be warned they share a value, and if you delete one, both go). Ultimately we end up going back and forth between this and RPG Scribe (which we use for character building, spell tracking, and individual loot/equipment). It would be amazing if there was an easy way to just import characters from there to here. The two apps together cover almost all the bases, and we havent found anything that does what we want better, so Id recommend it. Its even great for non-Gm players who want to test run character concepts through combat.

Ok so of all the apps out there for game mastering, this is one of our all time favorites. Pay a small fee one time and everything is open to you. Our biggest gripe with this app actually takes into account other tools/sites that serve similar purposes. The creators of the app 100% need to partner themselves with the hosts of aonprd. The sheer amount of accurate info that aonprd has coupled with the usefulness and versatility of this app would be absolutely amazing. Seeing as to how aonprd would rather focus on optimizing their website, the app author for PF GM would have to put forth the effort here. Other than this, the app has some grammar/text errors that have existed forever (alignments display incorrectly for example). Its a small thing to fix but small things add up and this app does have a handful of them. The bestiary entires are also incomplete in some cases. Not a problem for someone with access to internet 24/7 (most people) but for us peasants with crap internet or low data, it kind of hurts the app. Keep up the great work.

Great app for planning a campaign, adventure, or encounter. The encounter mechanic is great for keeping track of initiative, damage, etc. Our only real complaint, and it is a big one, is the inability to import characters or NPCs from Fight Club 3.5. Would make specific encounter setup and editing much easier. The ability to incorporate optional rules from the expanded books would also be useful. Would still be a great value at $10 to $15.

The program is great and very useful. However we bought premium and even though it says premium removes ads we still have ads. They dont have email to contact them and we are not sure what to do…

These Apps are invaluable tools. If you’re not a big porn and prayer planner and what to be able to not down ideas anywhere these are the best. We’re just hoping it gets a compendium update or a separate version for 2e.

This app is a must have for any DM, the ability to add your own creatures, and NPCs into the bestiary is invaluable. GREAT JOB we DONT KNOW HOW we DID WITHOUT IT.

We love this app as a DM. We use it all the time. It works really well for us because we often create our own creatures and this app allows for that. We recently switched to Starfinder and wish there was a Starfinder equivalent! We hope you guys are working on it.

This app does everything we need to build an adventure for our campaigns.

As a life long player and DM, this app has been everything we want, could use more access to source material, but thats a tiny issue compared to most apps. This is awesome.

We use this app for all our games. We like the new interface a lot and the easier way to save custom monsters to the compendium to use between games. The app does seem to crash more frequently than the last version, however, and run slowly sometimes. It can be frustrating to have happen in the middle of a big battle. Overall, though, this app is exactly what we need for DMing. We wish there was a way to add values to bleed damage/conditions to modify monsters at the start of their turn so that we dont have to keep track of it.

Lovely tool. Could use some UI changes, but it’s not bad at all. Our biggest complaint is the lack of NPCs to use. The app only comes with a beastiary. We would also love the option to add personal details for NPCs. Appearances, personality, history, mannerisms, etc.

This used to be an incredible app. Now, with the new interface change, is nearly unusable. We find it to be amazingly inefficient, frustrating to navigate, downright ugly, and the location of certain buttons and fields is utterly nonsensical. PLEASE bring back the old interface (at least as an option) for both this app and you PFRPG/3.5 Fight Club app.

We don’t have many things to say besides its great! You want a real review? There’s plenty below us.

This apps greatest weakness is the lack of a hardware keyboard. Now we utilize this app on our phone while our prep happens in OneNote. Macs cross system copy paste made note setup super quick. The export import tools tutorials are excellent and can be edited and imported really easy to use once you play around with it for a bit. The developer is incredibly responsive to bugs and other troubleshooting issues. We just wish there was a community that focused on this app.

Game master has been fantastic for keeping track of PCs abilities for when we want to roll their Perception checks (or other such rolls) behind the scenes. Its great for creating new monsters to send after the group, and for looking up existing monsters. It has a section for quick rules references, and lets you track initiative (and will even roll it for you, if youd like). There is so much you can do with game master, youd be a fool not to get it. That being said… Its not perfect. There are glitches. It can be tricky to add attacks and special qualities to existing monsters or NPCs. When you go to type in a creatures size, it only lets you use numbers… You cant write gargantuan with 0-9. There are other minor issues, but overall it is a great app and comes highly recommended from a DM who uses it every gaming session.

We really like this app, it is really useful for encounter building, and running combats. The initiative tracking and having all our monster stats in one place has sped up our games. This latest release of ‘bug fixes’ has led to a lot of bugs for us. We can no longer add PCs, or special abilities. They just don’t show up after saving in a dialog. Our monsters also never show up in the compendium after we save them. We have to keep re adding them each time we want to use them.

The 3.x update got rid of any organization by class and spell level. Spells are now all on one, alphabetical list and is a complete mess for reference. Up until now the app has been a godsend. Please patch!! Update: looks like a restart fixes the spell issue. Strange glitch. If you are having issues with the spell lists after updating try restarting your phone and/or the app. Changing our review back to 5 stars.

Really good app for keeping track of character and npc, but only has bestiary and you have to enter the rest in your self is annoying beside that it really good.

Usually downloading these types of things can be rough, since they won’t have all our resources we’ll need, but this is a pretty simple interface with a large compendium of helpful information. Took us a minute to figure out navigation, but now it’s second nature.

We love this app, it allows us to plan a campaign from wherever and even set up adventures and combats and such without being near a table or desk. No more lost ideas.

This is by far the best app we have ever used for Pathfinder. It easily keeps track of notes and encounters, as well as our PCs, even allowing quick searching of spells and equipment. We never write app reviews, but this definitely deserves it.

We even bought a Bluetooth keyboard to speed up inputting stuff.

Allows us to easily track and access all aspects of our campaign. If we had one critique it would be that it is not possible to add NPCs easily.

We use both this and fight club to track our players and campaigns. It would be great to be able to import our pcs from fight club rather than having to recreate them. Or is there a button we’re missing?

We wish it had more of the paizo creations in it. We also wish it had a section where people could share creations they’ve added for others to use. But other than that this is a great app and has been very helpful!!!

Using this app to keep track of Pathfinder adventure. Helpful for monster abilities and flavor text, but unless your players just want to sit in their chairs and emote and pontificate, not so useful for combat. There could be a lot more SRD information built into the app. This would speed up game prep. (Maybe this is planned for an update?)

Program will is well designed and easy to use, but limited functionality limits it usefulness. Unable to add templates or class levels to creatures makes it only useful for basic encounters.

We loved this app. The first day we got it, it met and past our expectations we even recommended it to our gm. Day two we opened the app and the full bestiary and gm screens were unlocked! We got premium without paying. But then in two days things went downhill. As time went on random creatures began deleting from our bestiary it is now 1/4 of its original size! Great app but crazy buggy.

So now the compendium is empty we have no idea why you would do the as soon as we buy the app. We think we wasted money on this.

We had this problem with the same app for 3.5e. Sometimes we would go on the app and randomly all of our data is erased completely without any rhyme or reason. We’re running this on an iPhone 4. Either this needs to be fixed or we want our money back.

This app has not been updated with ANYTHING in over a year. We have reached out to the creator on two separate occasions and no reply. Pathfinder is still producing new content and incredibly popular, yet the creator only supports 5th Edition. It was an amazing app, but has fallen to the wayside with the lack of new content. Not worth it.

New to game, but this is a great resource.

We think this is one of the best GM/DM tools we’ve come across. Access to all 4 monster source books is incredibly convenient for setting up encounters, and this app makes tracking combat so much easier.

The greatest thing about this app is that you can customize almost every aspect of it (create your own monsters, spells, etc., change and delete what’s already there). The iCloud backup feature is nifty. There are a couple of glitches, like it crashes occasionally but does not lose data. Overall 4.5/5.

This has everything you need, on a fast newer smartphone this can replace or magnificently support ALL the resources a DM needs, or a player for that matter. Not just references, you can edit, view, add, and change every aspect of a game or campaign content right in your palm! Monsters, spells, characters, NPCs or virtually any other game content. Really the only thing missing is miniatures and maps. Get it for sure, you won’t regret it. Our review is only of the free version.

This is the best app for a GM who wants an easy way to write their own campaigns, keep track of which player goes next in the encounter, track monster health, quickly grab a monster stats, and maintain a record of XP and treasure awarded to players. Need dice? Need to reference a rule? Did you make that encounter just a bit too hard and need to fudge the rolls to keep your group alive? You can do all of that easily with this app. You can save all your campaigns to the iCloud and pick it up on your other device. If you or your players have the Fight Club Character companion, you can send the characters to you email and import them to the Game Masters app. The only issue we have found with this app is that it sometimes crashes when we save it to the iCloud. You are not going to find anything else that is as good, mobile, and at the price that the Fight Club Game Mater is. It just doesn’t get any better.

This app is worth it just for the combat tracking abilities alone. This is a great app for the gaming table, excellent customization and extremely easy to use. Would love to see some random generators in future releases but it is fully worth the price with its current capabilities. One note, for the most part the bestiary monsters do not include spell-like abilities and are sometimes missing special attacks. You should verify before using as your only monster info. That said, this does not detract from the overall excellence of the app, in our opinion.

We downloaded this app on a whim to try out with a module our new group is running, and this is hands down the most powerful tool we’ve ever had access to as a GM. Marvelous image integration, combat tracking (so detailed!), references, expandable and fully customizable compendium and bestiary, and multi-campaign management. Six stars if we could!

Love this app. The only thing they could improve on is the loot system in here. Access to all the magic items and gear, along with a loot table with rolling mechanics, would bring this app up to a 5 star. Other than that, having this app has drastically improved our DMing experience.

This has been saving us a ton of time and energy. You really get out of this app what you put into it. Customizable bad guys & NPCs, also the status/mark tracking is nice. The encounter builder really makes this worth getting. We’ve been designing larger and larger encounters for our players and it really helps control the chaos! Possibly tweak the weapon section to allow for magic/poison effects, ect & this would be neigh perfect! We really love this app. Fantastic GM companion!

We fell in love with this app, but it could use some bug fixing. One we can point out is that even though we set some characters to Neutral Good it show them as CG. The App has is very flexible which we love. We’ll give it 4 stars for now but if it gets any future updates we’ll give it 5 as we’re used to authors abandoning apps with great potential.
