Coming back to play because this game fun! Theres not updates that ruin the game. It doesnt make you spend a lot of money for countless updates. The only thing it needs is more pve and pvp events.

There should be more than a 2 day absent rule. Not everybody can be in game every day all day. Ive stopped trying to become a member of a clan because if Im gone more than 12 hours (over night even) we log in and Ive been kicked out. It isnt fair at all.
When we first started GoK, it was a great alternative to Game of War. The devs asked for feedback and they didnt add new features every week. Once the HD version was released, things went downhill. The HD version is almost unplayable on our phone. The phone starts overheating and the lag, just scrolling around the kingdom, gets worse the longer Im on HD. We can switch back to the old version and things run smoothly again. But the new events only show up on the HD version. Now they are introducing t5 troops and other new events just to keep the 20 or so players that are massive spenders happy. If you start the game now, youll never catch up to the bigs. We have left our alliance, put up a 30 day shield, and Im not sure Ill be back. We hate to give up on a game Ive put so much time and money into, but we can see it going the way of GoW. It was fun for a long time, but the devs dont listen and only cater to 5-figure spenders.
Ive played a lot of strategy games, thats our thing, however when Im playing we look for the flow ability and events with awards. This game has none of those qualities. There are no set goals no events that are of any quality, monsters that you have to hit ten times before you get anything. The alliances are non cohesive there are no events as an alliance advancing together. This game is an endless aimless waist of time.
UPDATED REVIEW:: This was a good strategy war game which use to keep your money in your wallet. As of 2023 the developers began designing the game to heavily favor the big spenders. Today no amount of time dedication combined with small spending will save you from losing everything if youre not shielded. This means feeling like a coward hiding behind a shield. For example we have over 210 Million of only the highest quality troops which has taken over 3 years, we have most bonus sets complete, most research finished and easily spent over 500 on this game yet as of June every day we must hide behind a shield. The game use to be good fun for whale spenders, big spenders, small spenders and just dedicated players but today its only a game for people spending at least 4 figures each year.
Looks like a wanna be Mobile Strike version.
Poor customer service ALWAYS blames the player or their internet and never takes accountability for their crap servers. AND THE DEVELOPERS CLAIMS TO BE FAIR but theyre not only if you spend lots and lots of money they MIGHT us fair.. Doubt it though.. Lighting studios are TRASH developers.
Call it the money pit. Every turn we make it wants more money.. The very first screen that comes up is for you to buy a $99.99 package.. Gives you an idea about the game.
Must pay big to play. This is not play for free game like advertised. Make no mistake about it. You will spend a small fortune of you want to play this game to its potential. We brought our alliance from GOW 4 years ago. We played GOW for 5 years before they got stupid with all the updates. Now GOK is about the same age and stages of bull crap they dish out to their loyal customers. Now they cancelled all kill events for the remainder of the year and push packs to buy for the latest garbage youll need to play. Latest IOS update locked players out of their accounts causing them get zeroed. Developers wont even respond to requests for compensation for losses caused by the developers updates. This game is GOW all over again too. Total crap stay away! Were all jumping ship to the next adventure. THIS GAME IS A COMPLETE JOKE and doesnt even resemble the preview shown in the AP store. Nice try lightning studios but no cigar.
Horrible change to graphics in game that make it very hard for people to see. Color contrast is horrible, text too small, icons too small. Do not recommend downloading this game unless you have perfect vision.
We were playing the game we tried to log in to our other accounts by accident we hit new and not the game is frozen in the beginning of the game.
With the last two updates the game will no longer load on our phone. Our castle has been zeroed. Our hero is gone. We are done. It was fun until now. But with the loss of everything and not being able to load the game, it is over.
We downloaded this game a few days ago. We spent some money with the packages got up all our buildings did all the work we log out a couple of days later we go back in to play in our avatars, changed to a black warrior and Im a white guy thats playing the game so we knew something happened. The Warriors name was the one we put, but our email address was changed. The password was changed we try to set a pin and then the next day the pin was changed you cant speak to anybody to change it back to your original email address and theyre telling us that it wasnt logged in from any other device that the one Im on, so how did all this happen we WOULD NOT DOWNLOAD THIS IF ITS THAT EASY TO HACK AN ACCOUNT and you get no help its not worth it So we just received a comment back from this company and theyre telling us that we wasnt hacked that it was through our phone. Im the only one that has our phone number one number two we are not black in it. Thats not our email address so riddle us that but he has our name that we made the avatar reps in that picture is not us, so tell us that.
We have been playing this for awhile and have been frustrated by the lack of support for the iPad. The game runs fine for the most part but has big issues in relation to the iPad (both the official and the HD development versions). There are various screens that restrict the iPad users and, in our opinion, place these users at a disadvantage. These users have to scroll more, are unable to access some functions due to display issues and have to restart the game to get out of some screens. Admin has said they are working on these issues but that story is getting old. If you plan to play on an iPad, we would recommend that you wait until improvements are completed.
Dont waste your time on this game. We purchased a beginners pack for legendary builders gear and there was a glitch that did not allow us to equip the gear. We sent multiple messages and screen shots clearly identifying the problem to their customer service reps and they obviously didnt look into it as we got the same advice back saying we needed to unlock more inventory slots. We knew this wouldnt work but we spent more gold and tried it anyway. Of course, it didnt work. We guess we wasnt spending enough money for anyone to care or take the time to actually look into the problem. Extremely poor service. Its a pay to play game which we understood but you expect the things you paid for to work. Spend your money elsewhere.
We like the game but the packs are stingy and its very pointed towards the comfort of big spenders (which we are not).

Easy to build at easy to gain power and play even if u dont have as much money on hand its really fun easy to play level up understand just all around a good game.
Not the game you see in the adds. Same strategy game as the rest with a different skin. Higher numbers than the rest so if you dont have 10s of millions of resources you cant buy anything.

False advertizement! We saw an ad saying this isnt a pay to win game but if you want to actually win against powerfull players you HAVE to spend! Otherwise wait ridiculous amounts of time for one upgrade! Copy and paste of Game of War.

Can no long open the game! Instant crash on iPad! However the 7days we were able to play were fun. Id give them 3 1/2 stars.
This is a knock off game of war but with bad customer service. They wont respond till maybe 48 hours and soon as they do you will get absolutely nothing. Look for a different game, you will just waste your time and money.
The developers have not opened another kingdom for almost 8 months. For those of us who would like a chance at the game, you either have to start in a kingdom 7 + months old (good luck catching up!). Or wait for who knows how long (probably forever).
Game kicked ALL of the players out of the game saying banned, while we pay to ay the game !!! Its been a day with NO response from customer support.
Glitch after glitch, no Beta testing, only Bots answering messages, game events missed by players as updates not available on all platforms , developers are out of touch with reality, frequent server issues and game lag – players leaving in hoards and still developers ignore those who are still there.
This seems like a ok game so far cant wait to figure it out more.
You can get peace shields to prevent people from attacking you and we still get attacked, also it takes so long for you to level up, im only level 13 and it takes 8 hours just to update a farm.
Reminds us of GoW back in the early 2010s.
Honestly this game can be a lot of fun if you focus on the right things. Never compare your base to the next. We all work/play at out own pace. Some helpful tips…. Shield Maintenance is the biggest issue we see with new and old members. CHECK your Shield!!!! Do endless events….. Helps keep you afloat Save hero energy. It is the most valued thing in the game. Everything is based upon monsters. Try joining a Hunting alliance. This will help you grow without spending. Gives speed ups for training troops, building and research. Also Gold. Save gold you will need it later. Starting out work on hero/trap/economy research. This will help you in the long run. Dont waste your scripts. Save them as you grow and spend on the research needed. Figure out what kind of account you want. Trap, filler or lead. Leads cost a lot and so can bigger traps. So many ways to play. Just find one that suits you and have fun. Its a GAME!! Please have fun. Playing small accounts under SH15 can be fun too. They make great hospital traps. Again have fun and build your account the way you want.
Still the worst run game ever! Devs have no response to ANY issues or glitches. Almost every update is a disaster. Dont waist your time.

Be prepared to have generic responses to your requests for help after waiting days for a response from these clowns . Only way to ever compete is to spend large amounts . However you should purchase this game because the big spenders are running out of little people to slaughter.
We started playing this game as it is similar – pretty much identical – to Game of War. We appreciate the social aspect, and also the strategy. As opposed to GoW this game was supposed to not gouge the player every 2 seconds with new packs and costs, making it impossible to play without spending big $. This is true, somewhat. However, this game is riddled with bugs and issues and the customer service is a joke. When they screw up big time – and the entire kingdom loses out due to all players on apple devices being blocked for a duration?! – they throw a small bone out to everyone to compensate. But if you suffer individual loses due to their poor programing expect ALL of your inquiries to be ignored. Our advice is do not waste your money unless you have a ton to spend and do not mind getting screwed over. Pucck K3.
This game is slinky out for the players that spend money! If your interested in hitting monsters and o stay relevant then this is a game for you!! Be ready to spend at least 3k to Stay relevant and fight!!!! To be honest we wouldnt recommend this game to anyone.
It has a bad animation with low definition, a lot of glitches. Started ok couple of years ago since you didnt need to spend to play if you have patience but turned recently like game of wars. Packs are bad as well and you need a lot of spending. They are heading in the wrong direction. All these games are insane if they think people are going to spend money of 99.99 on packs weekly or even monthly.
Dear GOK players, this game had multiple outages and the developers do not take responsibility for your loses. The game locks clients from accounts often and the system crashes or becomes lagged constantly. You will lose your investment regularly with no corrective actions from GOK.
We began playing this game a few months ago and it was great we loved it. However we started having issues with the game. We contacted the support group and then next thing we know our account was hacked and then they banned our account without even contacting us. We reported that our account was hacked and instead of helping us secure our account they close it and tell us to start the game again after spending $$$$ so we guess this is how they get you to spend again. Find a different game trust us.
After spending money on a resource pack, we were banned from the game. We can no longer log in to our account.
First this app is terrible Im telling you dont get it we were getting our stronghold very high we were at a good level and we had resources then someone scouts us but it doesnt let us see who also, we got attacked but it doesnt tell you who attacked you then we tried moving closer to our alliance but it wouldnt let us teleport either! Then this morning we get into the app and it says why we were banned and we were very confused because we have done nothing to get us banned and it wont tell us why we were banned also worst customer service we have been waiting such a long time and nobody has responded terrible absolutely terrible also you guys want money FOR EVERYTHING. Every single thing costs money and its not worth it one bit.
We cannot stress how bad the customer service is. Game was okay and the developers would usually send items to make up for the glitches. We would suggest looking for another game and not waste money here.
The greed of the developers is only matched by their stupidity. They have zero knowledge of game player behavior or needs and have effectively made it impossible for new players to join or small players to stay. With the advent of the Rune continent, not only do we have to pay to play, but those who dont pay lose out on regular events and rewards that never required payment before. This is not a free to play game anymore. Without free players, spenders lose their targets and fillers. This game is dying. Dont bother downloading.
At first it was fun, but it gets stupid to try to level and become anything. The fact that a paid player can utterly destroy u in seconds and capture ur hero for four days is stupid. U cant progress unless u pay money. Probably one of the worst games out there. Do not play!!! Not worth the headache. Screw the developers of this.
