Find out what gamers are saying about Game Studio Tycoon 2:

Overall fantastic game. We do t have any real complaints, and if you’re a gamer, you’ll love this simulation game!

We absolutely love this game. And the only thing that bugged us is that you start in the 70s. Why do we have a big screen tv and a top notch computer. Shouldn’t we start with a computer back then and upgrade it. But we still love it. It’s so addictive.

We had a lot of fun with this game.

This is the best game ever on the App Store.

We love all business related Simulation games! This most definitely need updates because im trying to create new hardware for the first time and it crashes every time, but all and all GREAT GAME!!! WELL Done!!

This Game Was Amazing But we Noticed You Released Another One. Maybe do you think you can Make A Game That lets you Pick What You Want To Be e.x: Game developer, Restaurant Owner, Science Lab Owner, Etc The ideas of a game like that are endless. We would develop a game like that but sadly we don’t Know how to code.

This was a great game there are only a couple of bugs we have experienced, myself. We think the mmo aspect is very cool and adds another layer of depth to this great game. We recommend this game to everyone, as it is a blast to play!

Sorry for the past review we were new to the game and did not know were the profit comes.

This app is amazing. It takes a while to get used to it, get the genres and stuff like that figured out, but when you do, its a blast.

It’s a good game if you survive the debts that it throws our recommendation is get 2,000$ and MMO research before getting the 2 studio.

Game Studio Tycoon 2 is one of the best games we’ve ever played. While we’ve never been able to play Game Studio Tycoon 1, we feel it would have been good but nothing compared to this game. When we first opened the game we fell in absolute love with it. We knew it was worth the money. The first time we played we failed but it only made us want to succeed and play the game more. All in all Game Studio Tycoon 2 is a remake of Game Dev Tycoon but it’s better in every which way!

We are loving this game! Please please keep updating this awesome game!

It’s iconically decent to its nature of being able to do as much thing possible to create a game, and this MMO feature for an online game is well deserved. We haven’t got far enough actually to explore this game, we’re still in process, but thus far, it may need a couple of new features and updates. We basically mastered, "Game Dev Story", so we wanted a challenge, and to be honest this was it. It’s missing an actual award ceremony for the games you have released, and it needs more work done and achievements, overall. This is good game, it just needs a couple of updates, and they most likely got their idea from the hit game on steam, "Game Dev Tycoon". This game got potential, your best option is to focus on this one and make it compatible for all devices, possible to run this.

This game is epic it’s fun being able to create games and consoles and game engines getting a whole company and becoming famous enough and win awards! Get it it’s worth the money!

IS AMAZING!! So fun. If you’ve ever played Game Dev Story this game is like an upgrade to That game.

Really smart, fun strategy game. Lots of little details to manage and room for creativity, we’ve hardly stopped playing since we got it and we’re not one for mobile games. Hoping for future updates and content, but as is this game is really, really good.

Fun as heck, good difficulty, more features and more realistic with amazing replay value. Must own for gamers!

Like the title says we wish it was on Steam even though it’s along the lines of Game Dev Tycoon. We do like how much control we have over stuff though. We tried the first game and didn’t really care for it, but didn’t let that stop us from being interested in the sequel. While yes it takes ideas from other games like it, we like actually having teams to work on multiple stuff instead of "great you have 16 people but they ALL have to work on the same project". It was nice to work on an MMO while Team 2 were pushing out games to bring in money still. It’s especially nice when your having one team work on an MMO update and still have some people making games. Consoles are a little pointless outside of them being locked on the market for 10yrs so you could have multiple consoles selling at once. But designing games for your own consoles is pointless cuz they make literally nothing in revenue. It’s nice though having our NG 2000 in its last couple of years and releasing the NG 3000 console and having both bring in around $750,000 combined each month while our employee payments are around $600,000 a month. That’s really the only reason we create consoles, we have the extra cash and they make their cost back within that 10yrs plus cover employee cost each month. In the end, we give it 4 out of 5 for being a solid game but could use some updates to fix a couple things. We also wish it were on Steam cuz we fly through our iPhone’s battery lol. I’d like to see the developer make a 3rd game, they have some of the same features as other games like it but also it does stand out from the rest, plus on Steam you’d be on PC and more power, better graphics (nothing against the current ones)

The game crashes when we try to make new hardware but other than that the game is pretty good.

First off, this game is amazing! And we love it! There are some issues though, our only 2 concerns are that when you go to hire an employee the stats are WAY too low. We saw one employee who wanted 50k but with crappy stats! Please raise the stats up more. Our 2nd concern is that IT LAGS AND FREEZES! ITS SUPER ANNOYING! Please fix the lag and freezes! Fix those 2 and you’ll get 5 stars.

When you create you own console that’s costs upwards of 10 million dollars, the games you make for it never turn a profit no matter how many consoles you sell. We sold 600,000 consoles and the games we make for it have -700,000 profit even though they scored an 8.5/10 or even a 9/10 from critics. Not sure how to fix this bug/issue.

There’s a few things we want to see on this game but you probably won’t be able to put some of those things on there, so, the main we would like this game to have is more genres and themes. We don’t think we want to use want to use the same stuff. So let us get a little more creative! :)

As a big fan of games, we just love how this game puts you in the shoes of an entire game company. The real-time like movement of time really adds pressure in release dates and timing in general. Very challenging, and research points are earned pretty slow, but overall, this is a wonderful game that is more than worth the cost!

It has too much lag but fix that and it will be fine.

Hey, nice game bro. It’s fun because you can evolve and it’s really satisfying because you can see the money bar go up and you can go like ‘Yes we’re making progress!!!’

It keeps crashing while we’re playing and every time it crashes we lose almost all our money.

In game studio tycoon 2 it’s so hard to proceed we made a 10 rated game and got way less than 6 like fix the money it needs to be easier.

We want play but the game does not open.

We were playing, doing hot, but then it refused to release our games. We hit release and nothing happened. This is game breaking and needs fixed.

This is an awesome game. We love the concept, and we enjoyed it for about the first few days we were playing, but eventually, we wasn’t able to keep up with the amount of money we had to pay the employees. We would understand if the employee salary would stay the same since you hired them, but this game forces you to give the employees raises every year, and it just becomes too much money. It is way too expensive to pay the employees! If employees weren’t so expensive, this game would be great. We’ve tried three times, and we can’t beat the game because we end up going bankrupt because of our employees. Please fix this! Other than that, great game.

What we mean is when you play this game this happened to us when we bought a huge booth 3 mil we used all our money and ended up losing all our things due to not knowing how much it costs when we thought it was 3500 and not 3500000.

This game blatantly rips off Game Dev Tycoon for the PC. If you enjoyed this game, look up Game Dev Tycoon.

Not a lot to do during production cycles. Salaries are tough to keep up with. Lags, even on latest hardware.

Had a thriving company making hit games until we moved our employees to a different project before releasing the game they just completed. This made it impossible to release the game and no way to assign that team a different project since it said they were still working on a game. Instantly made it unplayable and caused all the time we spent playing it to be wasted. Fix the problem so we can try and salvage our game and we will change our rating. If you don’t fix the glitches then every great aspect of this game is negated since your just building up the frustration you’ll feel once it glitches. UI is also in general frustrating, but much more manageable then these other reviewers make it out to be.

This has happened to us several times after deleting and reinstalling the game. When we get really far (I’ve passed the current year and nothing new is able to come out) a glitch prevents us from creating games. We pressed "Release Game" and then the game was gone. It didn’t publish, we didn’t get any money, so we wasted thousands of the in game money and nothing happened. Now, we have a game that has been made, but there’s no option to release it. We have thousands of dollars and t was fun, and now the only thing we’re able to do is sit around and wait for the company to go bankrupt. Because this has happened to us multiple times, we gave the game one star. It does everything it’s supposed to and is a good game until this happens, but this game breaking glitch is enough to lower our rating of a 5 star game to a 1 star.

We are a triple a dev by now and we hated the part when we were nearly finished with a game den it crashed and when we got back we were in the low hundreds when we used to be in the thousands 10/10 would rage again over a game in a game.

Good game but Game crashes every time we are trying to create hardware. It’s annoying.

The game brakes every time we try and do something so can we get our money back I’d really appreciate it, thanks.

This game is fun but numerous bugs make it unplayable after getting far enough along in the game. * Games released for your own consoles sell ridiculously abysmally. We released a console which sold about half as well as the "MES" and released a game-of-the-year, perfect 10.0 game that sold so poorly we lost over a million dollars on it. Similar games released on the "MES" or fake Sega consistently made 1-2 million in profit. * Games developed for your own consoles are listed as being developed for the PC or Atari 2600 in the Game Info screen. Is that why they sell so poorly, because a glitch in the game makes it think they are for a system no longer on the market? * Games for your own consoles cost way too much to make compared to other consoles: 4-5x as much. Why? * Using more than one team is next to impossible. To release a game for the second team while the first is developing one, for example, you have to wait for the status bar to manually cycle through options until it shows the second team’s game. This can only happen when the game is unpaused, so this means your second team will be sitting idle for 1 month+ waiting for the option to release their game. * You can spend research points while the game is paused, but the research point meter doesn’t update until the game is unpaused, which gets frustrating. * Doing contract work always defaults to the second team, even if it is empty, meaning we’re constantly having to move people over to the second team to work on a contract we mean to assign to the first * Hype disappears stupidly fast, which means if your second team is working on a game it will be all gone by the time the status bar finally cycles to the team so you can release the game. * Maintenance costs for MMO keep going up exponentially, which is not realistic. Did Blizzard have to double what it paid to host its WoW servers each year? It makes MMO games next-to-impossible to make money on. * longer development cycles seem to have no meaningful effect on game scores. * In-house games don’t affect custom console sales very much. It seems like a game-of-the-year might increase sales of your console by a few thousand at best. Combined with the guaranteed horrible sales mentioned above, there is literally no reason to develop games for your own console, and no reason to develop your own console unless you like throwing away $20 million dollars you spent hours working for.
