This latest installment in the legendary series from SNK welcomes a new hero with Rock Howard, the posthumous successor of Geese Howard who was raised by the "Legendary Wolf" Terry Bogard, and a host of all-new charismatic characters with their own unique background story and goals.
■A fully redesigned game system
"GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES" renews the series with the "T.O.P. SYSTEM", a revolutionary game mechanic that can be set anywhere on the character's lifebar and gives access to a unique attack and significantly increases the character's hitting power. Moreover, the "JUST DEFENDED" mechanic offers a multitude of bonuses to the player if he successfully blocks his enemy's attacks at the last moment. Finally, the "BREAKING" feature allows to cancel specific special moves to other for impressive combos and damage.
■New charismatic characters
With the exception of the series' historical hero "Terry Bogard", all the participating characters in "GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES" are new, and some of them have some connections with characters from previous installments.
■New features unique to this mobile port
In addition to the 4 & 6 button type layouts, the "SP" and "FM" special buttons allows the user to respectively activate Special and Desperation Moves with the touch of a button. Furthermore, this faithful port of "GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES" features a "PRACTICE" mode, in which you can train all you moves and best combos, a "SURVIVAL" mode, where you fight all the game characters until your life bar depletes to zero.

Just fix the super buttons not working we pressed them and they didnt work and fix the button placement when we launched the app the select button wasnt working cause it was high up and it wasnt registering us pressing it.
We dont understand the low ratings at all. These are all beautiful ports, well worth the low asking price.

It's famously good. The Bluetooth support for controllers works and this game is probably the best fighter on the App Store. Great backgrounds, characters and abilities, there is a story in there and there are some really intriguing sequences depending on who you beat the game with. Many layers of excellence here, highly recommended.
New button position is awkward; Frame rates are not stable as the last version; UI looks off Please fix.
We paid like 30 dlls for all your app games. Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug X, KOf 97, KOf 98, Garou Mark Of The Wolfs and all the buttons are all spread out the screen. Checked adjust controls, resize, but theyre like stuck together all bugged in, one on top the other. We worked hard for that money. Money isnt free. But you guys probably dont even care. Because thats not your problem and you already got paid.
For crying out loud, where is the QC on this title. Since launch the SP button has been broken (useable) which negates its purpose: to make playing on mobile screens easier! SNK, please get your act together on this AAA title. None of our other iOS fighters have this issue.
Controls are great! Very intuitive for IPhone users. Well done; back to the good old days of video gaming.

Please snk bring to iOS more fatal fury titles. Fatal fury 3 and the real bout series. We didn't give 5 stars because the Bluetooth mode doesn't work currently :(.
This is one of many great SNK games, and it was ported very well for iOS. Our only complaint is that the special buttons don't seem to work and cannot be hidden (iOS 10.0.2, iPhone SE). On a separate note, we'd really love to see The Last Blade 2 or Waku Waku 7 on iOS as well.
One of the finest fighting games we've ever played. Full of depth, amazing characters and slick colourful animations. Not the best way to experience the game but definitely worth it to have this in a handheld form. We hope they continue the series someday. There has been a long drought in good fighting games. We're glad to have this to remind us of the good times :) Thanks SNK and DotEmu. BTW the multiplayer didn't work for us. We're looking forward to playing with people online. Also don't forget about Last Blade 2 and all the other amazing titles in the catalogue. PS for people complaining about the controls there are hotbuttons you can swipe for easier input and we're actually shocked how well they got the controls. Peace.
The fighting system is top notch,really good graphics and beautiful special moves.And the difficulty level is acceptable.we recommend you to buy this game if your an SNK fan.

Controls are right, gameplay is right, graphics are gorgeous. Like fighting games at all? Even just a little? Play this, it's seriously the best on touch. 10 stars- 2D forever.
We love the classic fighting games. Plays great. Only thing is that it sometimes lags a bit. Nothing else. Could you guys port an art of fighting game to the IOS next please. Thanks.

Controls are kind of weird, but the game in general is good, thank you SNK for all those titles, and our friend and we are waiting for GALAXY FIGHT, UNIVERSAL WARRIORS.

Pretty good for a touch screen game. We're all about physical controllers,but this is playable enough for a phone game. It has buttons that make the harder moves easier to pull off if you just can't seem to get the touch controls down. Haven't tried with icade jr. Yet, but we were more interested in being able to carry this game in our pocket and play it on the go on our break at work or something. It serves the purpose in our opinion. Grab it while it's 99 cents;) Update: Tried with icade jr. And it works pretty good. We can't figure out how to change the button configuration,but the default has it as A=upper left button B=lower left button C=upper right button D=lower right button So it works out good for us. Only complaint we have is with the touch controls. We agree with other reviewers that this game needs a c+d button while using touch screen. Besides that it works pretty good. Update 2: we have noticed occasional slowdown, but the game still runs good for the most part on our iPhone 5s. Still recommend if you can grab it at 99 cents. Still a fun casual fighting game to pull out for a quick bit of entertainment:).
We don't know if it's because of the IOS firmware or our device but this game is far from enjoyable at the moment. Just FYI, we're running the app on IPad Mini Retina, IOS 8.3.

The game itself is incredible while at the same time, maintaining that old-school feel. The controls may get you killed.

Great game! Fluid and responsive controls for an iOS port. Single and multiplayer work well. This is without a doubt one of the greatest fighting games, period. Thus it's one of the greatest on iOS as well. Only problem is there should really be a shortcut button for C+D. If that's patched in, it'll be perfect! Keep up the good work SNK and dotemu.
We really want more the king of fighters titles please please please bring the king of fighters 2000,2001 and the best of all the king of fighters 2002.
Just kidding…its fantastic! It even has a very small bit of lag as was tradition with neogeo.
This was a very fun game and it reminded us of M.U.G.E.N. Very much but that's also fun. If this is a game series it should keep making more games.
One of our fav arcade fighters ! The import on iPhone is awesome, controls take a sec to get use to but man… It's so worth the price of admission lol.
We're not kidding. This game is hand made. And SNK had the guts to eliminate almost all the Fatal Fury series' characters in order to bring fresh stuff. And was its last game before the bankruptcy. Trust us in this one: Mark of the Wolves is the finest fighting game you'll have on iOS. And DotEmu did a great job in the port, enhancing the virtual buttons' response and eliminating almost all the loading times (this is better than the Dreamcast version!). Buy this today.
This makes Samurai Showdown 2 look silly w/ better controls and and all around better experience….please bring the Sedoku series to iOS, PLEASE.
Mark of the Wolves is a perfect port on iOS. We play a lot of fighting games on our iPhone, and this is the best one. We like it better than the iOS versions of Street Fighter 4 Volt, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, King of Fighters-we, King of Fighters 97, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Samurai Showdown 2.
We hope you keep them coming, this are the best fighting games in the app store. SNK has very good fighting games, we would buy all The King of Fighters games, so just keep them coming.

We have this on the Dreamcast and it plays just as well. Just you must be used to the touch controls witch are just fine.
The T.O.P. Mechanic is so cool because you can select when you can do your desperation move.

This game is super good but we hope you guys can fix the screen its a bit to small for newer phones but other than that we love this game and its so fun.
If youre running iOS 13 on your phone do not buy this game. Something happened with the screen resolution that ruins the controls and you can no longer resize or move on screen them properly. Otherwise it was a great game on iOS 12.
We waited till we got a better phone to buy it, but since it hasn't been updated to work with the latest iSO it's super slow and choppy. Don't buy it unless they fix it, until then get it on steam or PS4.
Awesome game. The special and desperation buttons should be changed so that you dont't need to slide a button towards a specific direction. We think it would be much better if the special moves can be pulled off like in KOF 97, 98, and we-2012: Move the D-pad in a specific direction and tap the special button. We got a good number of fighting games, and it's counter-intuitive to have to slide the special button to perform a special move. If some people do like how the special button is set up in this game, then it would be awesome to provide an option in the game settings, so the special/desperation buttons work like in the KOF ports. Thanks.
The music runs a bit slow and the controls needs more polish. But the gameplay of this classic still holds pretty well.
We've been captivated by fighters ever since we were a little kid. We have fond memories of watching the demo fights of Fatal Fury at the laundromat. So we're very pleased to see these older releases that we never got to play as a kid. We've been playing around with it and while the sprits move fantastic the over all controls feel off. We guess these just weren't optimized well for the IOS. Still we had allot of fun and smiles playing Terry in story mode.
