We love this game. We played it back in the "old days" and just remembered it out of the blue. We just wish we could buy the whole game ONE time, and not have to subscribe to GameClub. We don’t intend to play other GameClub games, just Gears and we don’t want to pay for games we don’t think we’ll play. Even if we could subscribe for this one game it would be better than having to buy ALL the games. Or something where you watch ads (maybe 2-3) to unlock a level which stays unlocked for a period of time, maybe a few hours. We would be fine with that. Sad, because it’s such a great game, but we don’t want to buy an auto-renewing subscription for one game any more than we would buy Netflix for one movie.
It’s not bad. But the subscription pretty much made this game worse instantly.
This game is very fun but you must pay to go on and in the old tome you didint had to so we think they should take it off that but we still think is fun we have been playing this with our cousin since we were small and you dint had to pay so they should take the payment out and let be free so its more fun and better but we think that this agme is still fun.
When you download it, it redirects you to pay a huge fee offsite to play it to something called GamesClub. This is against Apple TOS, and its a scam. Reported.
Seriously?, we owned this game and now we have to pay a subscription to play it? No thanks, Ill pass.
Deleting from our phone now that a forced subscription model is enabled and an account required to play No thanks. We only buy games without this and to have it forced after the fact is a beach of trust.
We bought this back in 2011, its criminal that now we have to pay a $15 subscription to play it.
… It was bought, originally, as a one time purchase. The sale and subsequent subscription revenue model for game club are a deal breaker for us. Not because we object to subscribing, outright, but because of the sense of a broken promise. Once sold as an indefinite license, it should remain an indefinite license. We have a budget for subscriptions and Im not spending that budget on anything that breaks a promise. Because … Why would I? The number one issue with subscription models is trust, and if the trust is already broken from the outset, thats a problem. There are ways to rework this such that purchasers of the original game arent forced into the subscription. Its implementable in the AppStore, and we’ve seen it work. This then constitutes an unforced error on Game Clubs part, having purchased it from the former developer.
When we were into marble runs back then this game was related to what we had in mind we are glad this game is compatible to date But we have one question can you add an owl on rivers of magma Level 9 when we played this back then there were lots of owls but now we only found one on rivers of magma Level 8 but no other levels But awesome game though.
We are glad Corey Redlien and Josh Presseisen did whatever they did to be able to bring this game back to life. Excellent game. High replay value. Now, guys, move forward with the additional worlds you had planned so many years ago!
We’ve loved Gears ever since we got it back in 2012. However, not too long after we first beat it way back when, an update made a whole bunch of levels broken and unbeatable or even playable. We cant thank you all enough for actually fixing this classic gem and restoring a part of our early tweens.
This was a great game many years ago. Now they’ve updated it for the latest devices and the graphics look sharper than ever. Great tilt-based gameplay. Like labyrinth but much more epic graphics! We hope they give people an option to buy this game for a larger than subscription one-time fee because it seems weird for people to only be able to own it while subscribed.
Haven’t made to the infamous glitchy lava world that many have been whining about, but it’s been a fun ride so far. We have an iPad 2 and the game hasn’t given us any issues to date. We most definitely recommend it for those who love marble physic games and steampunk atmosphere.
Gears is so creative. It’s so awesome how it doesn’t need wifi for it to work.
Level 9 of the second world does not work, the stone path doesn’t work.

Our sister and us love it so much. The first level is esey and it gets harder and harder.
We love love love gears and we played the whole game so many times but then we deleted and downloaded it again and now we can’t go past level 9 magma this was our favorite game but plz can the makers re make level 9.

No clue why this is rated so low, we’re too ADHD for Angry Birds, yet this game keeps our focus and is still awesome 3 yrs later! Pretty colors.
We really love this game. We’ve already beaten the whole thing only old phone and world 3 was by far our favorite. We just wish it would be possible to get there again since level nine seems to not work with the current iPhone update. It’s really too bad.. Please fix it.
We have been a big fan of this game since we were a freshman in high school. We graduated and now we’re in college. The developers totally forgot about the game. Please make new levels if you guys want to make gears 2 we would buy the app again. But please make it as fun as this one and don’t take our advice for granted we know that you guys can take advantage of this.
We love this game! Our two kids and we have played it for a long time. It is really fun and challenging. The kind of game you will come back to and play again and again. Now it has stopped working and glitches on the last level of the lava area.
When we try to play this level the pathway will disappear and we can’t go any further until it’s fixed so please fix it soon:)

We can’t get past world two because we die every time on the lava, it won’t let us pass on level nine.
We love this app we got to level 9 in magma in under 45 min. But with level 9 on magma it doesn’t work. Please fix this bug and then you will earn your 5 start review.

Rivers of Magma level 9 is broken. The ground is not there…
DONT BUY UNTIL THEY FIX THE LAVA LEVEL 9. This game is awesome. We’ve played it from start to finish multiple times. The lava level 9 now glitches… Please fix it. Such a fun game.
We have an iPad 2 and the only thing that works is the main menu. As soon as we hit start or select a level, the game freezes at the loading screen. When it worked we could say it was one of the best games that we had. Please fix it!
It’s not such a bad game. It’s fun to just play and kill time if your bored at least for us. We just can’t get over the level design on with some of the maps like the ones in the Magma River or whatever it’s called. We’ve found that it is very easy to cheat in that world just by swiping really fast and cutting half the level.
….. It no longer works. We download it to try to play it again and level nine will not let you cross the fire bridges. Please fix. This is an awesome game if it would just work.
Level 9 rivers of magma won’t work for anybody. Unfortunately the creators of the app have ditched the app and won’t fix the glitch. The glitch is that the platforms won’t load on level 9 rivers of magma. Fortunately the other levels and worlds work fine.
We played this app on our iPad a year ago and we were able to get to all three places it was amazing we loved it. It was so fun and it was our favorite game. Until now where there seems to be a glitch in the second place "Land magma" we’re really upset we really liked the 3rd place but it’s not going to let us play it. We do not like it please fix it!

This game is amazing but level nine in river of magma is messed up the path doesn’t work and then we went back to play level t in the first world and it started glitching.
We got to Rivers of Magna level 9 and the stone path would be gone so we could not successfully play the level or move forward in the game… We love the game but we cannot keep advancing in the game if the level isn’t fixed… We have deleted and reloaded the app and turned our phone off and back on again but nothing works… Please fix this!!!
The game was awesome until we checked out level 9 and we tryed so many time but it wouldn’t work!:( we have bought something was wrong with our iPad but when we checked the other reviews we knew there was a glich!!
