Sean73: I think removing the object limit won’t be so exciting, people will create laggy levels, like "Peaceful"

kutzler: The fps thing is a common misconception. It’s not that every player, whether he’s playing on 60 or 360hz has the same controls. You jump a few pixels higher on 360 after hitting a jump pad than on 60hz. That’s what the update fixes. High fps will still mean better control. Rob mentioned this quite a few times already

Juice press: I’m happy Robtop is taking his time on this. After seeing what happened with security breach, I now feel that it will always be worth the wait if you let the creators take the time they need

GD Colon: Wish I watched this sooner, as a big GD nerd I already knew most of these but I’m still completely BLOWN AWAY by how in depth and well edited this video is. First few months of 2.2 are gonna be really chaotic/experimental but that’s exactly why I’m so damn pumped for it.
(also congrats on this video doing so well!! 100% deserved, glad to see such a fleshed out and high effort vid get traction over a slideshow of discord screenshots with a baity title)

SpAce: My favourite feature for 2.2 is ‘age’, where your reaction time is much better/worse than it was when 2.1 came out thanks to time passing. Incredibly game changing

BigmancozmoPlayz: 3:21 I’ve used a GD World glitch to get into an unfinished version of the 2.2 level editor, and to enable Free Fly, you just do the Edit Object button. There’s a checkbox to enable or disable free fly.

Jay Chen: Man, all this stuff looks cool, but I can’t imagine how new levels would be readable easily. There are already levels that are so unreadable that it makes the gameplay experience not fun. Imagine a future where you have to keep crashing into walls to try and find which one would turn you to the side. Also, I bet some level creators would use the camera triggers so much that you can’t keep up with your icon.

Jememster: Oh my. This GD update is so massive than I thought. I’m actually excited for the addition of platformer mode, new triggers to play with, decors, and lot more! I’m waiting for the update to be released tho :’D

Milo Kesteloot: While I’m really exited for this update and I think it’s going to be a major improvement to the game, it makes me sad that so many of my skills that took years to build up are now just a single trigger. Anyone else feel the same way? None the less I’m still super exited about it and this video did a great job of explaining it.

Kakutasu: 2.2 is when geometry dash goes from being a game to a game engine

Space Game Dev: Wow this update looks epic.
Expessially excited for the Platformer Mode!!!
Thanks for bringing this update to my attention!!! :D

okuyasu plush: Im very excited but also very scared about how level creators will build levels with these. Who knows? Creativity can go wild sometimes

MuffinlyGaming [GD]: As much as I love 2.2, It’s gonna take a while to get used to not just the camera controls, but the new platformer mode, vertical gameplay, etc.

bow: based on the gdw editor, freefly mode can be checked as an option on portals. i’d guess there would be triggers to toggle it too, though.

Møøn̑̈ Light: wow this blew my mind Rob did such good job, totally worth the wait!
Thanks for making this video now I know why this is the biggest update ever!!

7salad3salad: 4:08 My guess is that ReverseDir means reverse direction, maybe to change the direction the cube is moving in when it jumps on a ring.

Ras: Thank you for this video! Honestly, I was feeling really negative about the update. Like sure I saw some cool stuff in the sneak peeks, but I was prepared for the first month after release to have nothing but utter garbage in the levels section. After watching this though, I’m really excited! There are a ton of features that creators like me (evil ones lmao) can make use of.

Only thing im still scared about is rob adding universal physics… We are going to lose SO MANY LEVELS

HyperDelusion: Im pretty sure there’s different types of blending too with colors, there will be 9999 groups, and optimization will be improved. Rotation triggers can now be stacked without breaking, there’s a new complex trigger that calculates distance. Effects in 2.2 will definitely be insane. Hyped to see what Sput7nix or serponge make.
