Basic Rules of Gin Rummy
Gin rummy is played with a standard 52-card pack of cards. The ranking from high to low is King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Ace.
Form the cards into sets of 3 or 4 cards sharing the same rank OR runs of 3 or more cards in sequence of the same suit.
In standard gin, only a player with 10 or fewer points of deadwood may knock. Knocking with 0 point of deadwood is known as going Gin.
If you initiate the Knock and score fewer points than the opponent, you win! If you score more points, the Undercut occurs and the opponent wins!
How to play Variations
Classic Knock & Gin Rummy: It follows the basic rules of class gin rummy mentioned above.
Straight Gin Rummy: The feature of Straight Gin is that knocking is not allowed. Players are required to play until one of them can go gin.
Oklahoma Gin Gummy: The value of the first face-up card is used to determine the maximum count at which players can knock. If the card is a spade, the hand will count double.

We agree with other reviews. Ive played a number of on line gin rummy games. Im positive theyre all rigged to a fairly heavy extent. When you first start any of these app games, you tend to be given great cards or draw picks. The game makers want you to spend money.we get that. Personally, we would prefer to buy the app for a reasonable price, if they could absolutely guarantee that the shuffles werent programmed or manipulated. We play enough real gin rummy with cards to know the incidence of getting great cards either from the deal or from deck picks.
We like this app a lot. Its very easy to use an it loads fast.
Ive been playing this game for weeks and we typically win about half the time. In the past couple of days, however, we only win about 1 out of 15 games. It doesnt matter which game Im playing. Also, the extra point games like digging for treasure, are suddenly not working. It is not rewarding us with shovels when we do win. We have exited the app and even shut down our tablet a time or two and we still dont get the rewards. For this reason, we only give it 3 stars.
Great game especially the gin only. The knock game has to much early knockers and seems the game favors the opponent to much.

Love the graphics. Love all of the choices. The only con we guess we could say is that auto sort is not selectable all the time. We wish there was a toggle on or off. But other than that we love playing the game.

Card game is fun. The only issue is when ther game gets stuck.
Definitely rigged. Never seen a Gin Rummy game where you dont even come close in 7 straight hands. Wheel spin doesnt make sense on payout. Challenging to try to beat the odds against you. Dont play the hands against never heard of names. Walk away when the fix is obvious, save your points. If writing in your bets dont go too high over theyre suggested amount, youll lose. Play smart, look for the Riggs and fixes, know when to quit and youll get to play a while without purchasing chips. Good Luck.
We have downloaded and played quite a few Jen rummy games, but this is by far the best one.
This gin game is both challeging as well as fin. We look foreward to playing it each day, sometimes several times a day when possible.

This game is rigged to get you to buy in – if you stay away from it long enough, it becomes easy to play – they set the cards to hook you back in – and if you buy enough, you will create enormous wealth for a bit, but it unfairly begins to dissipate – our advice, stay away.

Making Gin after one card does not happen as often as it does with this app. It just doesnt. Finally found a Gin Rummy !! App that we love. Easy to use. Not a whole lot of bells and whistles. Earn tokens really fast.
Love the game, love the layout Downsides ~ THE BOTS THAT GIN OR KNOCK AFTER 1 TURN ~ The annoying players who take advantage of the ample time given for each turn and try to annoy and distract you by taking FOREVER to play their turn !!!!!! Grow Up Only been playing for a little while but over all we like this version more than most:).
As others have mentioned, when we first started playing would win more, then started losing more and more often. We were able to build a lot of coin but then just a couple of lost games would bring us back to broke. The more you have the bigger the loss. Now Im broke and the daily wheel doesnt appear anymore, so Im not getting enough coin to play unless we watch the annoying ads for coin or pay, which we refuse to do. We like to play the game but wont be putting cash in sorry. Also, altho we know how to play basic rummy and just stick to that, and maybe Im missing something, but we think there should be better instruction as we dont know how the rewards work and cant see any instruction to explain -very disappointing and frustrating. Bottom line, we may have to stop playing as we feel kinda dead in the water.
Ive played other Rummy games but this one is by far the best Ive mage quite a few friends playing this game. Thanks.
