Since the upgrade the play is messed up. Very slow. Doesnt put cards in suits or runs. Just gets stuck.
This is the best Gin Rummy game we have found at the App Store. We play it every day.
Why does it stop so much. You get stuck in the middle of the game.
We agree with the earlier commenter who indicates the AI cheats, it really does. Holds cards you need until you discard them and counts cards.
We find this game user friendly. The graphics and sound feedbacks are adequate. We tried several other gin rummy games and think this one has the most pleasant balance of card dealing speed and ad frequency. However, theres this bug that really bugs us. Every 10 games or so, it happens that our opponent knocks after we draw a card. It would be ok if the system ignores the extra card we have. But it doesnt! Imagine you have only 2 points and you draw a K, only to find that the opponent has just knocked at the same time, say with a total of 8 points. So instead of an undercut plus +6 (+31 points), you now are -6 in this round. Thats a 37 points difference! Not only that, if you quickly discard the extra card (K in this example) which doesnt belong to you in the first place, you will be punished by a second count. Depends on the cards you have, the opponents card might lay-off and more points will be deducted further from you. You would end up losing a game. This happens too frequently as we play faster and faster, and it is getting too frustrating!!
Recently we were asked to download the upgrade and what a mistake that was. The newer version is very jumpy and now it has decided to let us play one turn then it disappears. It was especially jerky when ads were running across the bottom which we managed to hide as they are very distracting. After several years of playing we are now looking for an alternative gin rummy game. Why cant you leave well alone?
Great for the first few games but then it seems like the app gets tired. It will throw our card off screen so that we cannot use it until we pick another card. It will knock after we have picked another card so we have more cards then we should when the AI goes out. It gets frustrating. Its not smooth playing.
Have had this game for years and played it every time we flew or didnt have service. Now the game requires internet connection to play. Would not recommend if you dont have constant service or dont mind excessive advertisements.
This game cheats… The cards jump, the it will go down past the broad where you cant see the card making you have to get rid of a card you dont want to get rid of, then that missing card shows up. So they make sure you lose. We like it but it piss you off when it does that. They need to fix the problems on this game cause Im gonna delete it. Play fair or delete this game.
We agree with commenter that is frustrated with AI frequently undercutting when we only an ace left – bull crap. Also, we’ve experienced several game hangups where our draw card is not shown and we have to discard a card we dont want to discard in order for the game to continue. Finally, Im always dealt a lousy start compared to AI who more often than not gets to knock very early in the game. Not really a fair competition to the point that we just end the game in frustration.
An older version of this app had the ad banner at the top. We could deal with that. When we got our new iPad and downloaded the app, ads are at the bottom. We can no longer play this game because of the constant flashing ads that are situated slightly over our cards. Please move the ad banner back to the top and limit the number of animated ads.
Yea, all of a sudden we NEVER get the cards we do on Medium, and AI gets Rummy in 3 Moves! Sorry, this one isnt fun.

After playing your game a number of times and why do one have to be on line to play when its a single player app? So did some research and come to find out this game is a Phishing App. Looking for information, keystrokes, passwords, bank info. Ect.
You ask for a fuvking review and we have not played one Elfing hand.
We literally deleted this app within seconds of playing. It doesnt let you situate your own cards, try to move a card to a different lay, and it discarded it!
Please fix the computer player knock bug. We love the ui but the game has an advantage because of this.
We enjoy the game but we cant get rid of the casino ad on the bottom. The game is not worth it if you have to put up with continuous ads.
Ads flash non stop over the cards making impossible to play. LAME!
… Game. Played three rounds.. Learned what to tap when… Took 2 games to do that… How about some instructions?? When the first game started, we just stared at the screen… Sure enough, we tossed away the third queen by mistake because we hit the wrong thing….. BTW, we won twice….
We love this gin rummy app. We often play this while waiting in doctors offices. The only gripe we have is that the Final Score function no longer works on our iPad. Could developer do an update to include that feature?
It seems to us the computer hand can see our hand. Always discards something we do not need or something we just discarded. Also we can do fairly well until the last couple of hands. Then the computer comes up with gins etc to win. We are deleting this game and trying another gin game.
We played this game for years, but it was just recently updated. Increase ads, now requires internet to play, and the game is ridiculously slow. There was always a suspicion that the game cheats, to balance itself, but now it seems even more suspicious. What was a beloved game for a long time has now got us looking for a new Gin Rummy app to replace this one. A shame, too.
We have been playing several games in each mode and the box score and the total score tabs do not open! This seems like such a basic function to be failing totally that it makes us wonder about the skill level of the ai. We have noticed that it tends to pick up card and then discard it on the next turn more often than we would expect. We can not be certain of the ai issue but the scores not showing is for sure.
Enjoy this game when working but locks up after playing for awhile and the only way to continue is to end game and forfeit that game and start a new game. Deleted and reloaded numerous times but still has same problem.
This is one of the better realistic Gin Rummy games available. Except when it freezes up for no apparent reason. This happens frequently and becomes annoying after awhile.

You can play a dozen hands then it freezes. We are playing on a new iPhone 11. All software up dated.
This game is ok and all but since we’ve downloaded it, the game freezes at the beginning of the game and we have to completely close the app and open it a few times before you can resume playing. We’ve uninstalled because of this…
We usually play this game daily but had taken a brief break and came back to find the discard deck is sometimes right side up and sometimes upside down. The game is also much slower for each move.
That is the reason for one star.

We have played this game for many years and loved it – however this week there is a glitch. After the gin hand is dealt and we pick a card and go to discard a card it lifts just a teeny bit and freezes. We have tried many options to no avail and sent messages but havent received a response. Thus we deleted this App. (I even tried and deleted a couple of times ago and then retained the App again to no avail) we are disappointed that they havent responded. We will look for another gin game if we dont hear from them shortly.
Love the game we have small fingers but its still too easy to choose the wrong card.
New version will not let us discard, so, no further play on our iPad. App store says bug fix. More like we added a new bug. Please fix! (Added next day): it turns out that this new version went from single-tap discard to double tap (not to be confused with the movie Zombieland: Double Tap, which is pretty good). Who knew? Can you let us know this stuff?
We usually enjoy playing this game. Lately the adds are very distracting to the point of hurting our eyes while trying to play the game. The ads that bother us the most are those that function like slots with the constant rolling of the wheel. Today, out of the blue, the way we select the discard card changed and we had to go into settings to make changes.
We’ve been playing this game for awhile and just like that the board, card backs and other features changed. The way cards are drawn has changed and there seem to different actions needed to play. Im deleting this game, and recommend against downloading it.
Just did our upgrade, went to play, cards were dealt, can select card from pile but wont let us discard. Great upgrade.
We have been playing this game for awhile and it has suddenly developed a glitch which makes it difficult to discard a card. You need to tap on the card repeatedly to discard it. Whatever bug fix you just applied made the game markedly worse! We will look for a different gin rummy game as this is now completely frustrating !
With this latest update we can no longer play offline. We wont play it while connected to the internet because of the ads. We guess we will be deleting it and finding another Gin Rummy app.
We used to find this challenging, but since the latest update we literally cant lose. We win each game 200 or more to 0. Not even satisfying or fun.
