GinSC Reviews
This is a slick gin score keeper app. There are optional bonus points settings as well as dealer settings. Even keeps track of who deals next. Keeps a history of scores. This app is a snap to use. Ignore the negative review. Get it.
Our wife & we used GinSC almost everyday for the last 3 years. Suddenly we could no longer open it. Seems to have coincided with the last IOS update. We miss it, can it be fixed?
Great scorekeeper but we reached 100 pts and the game didnt end.
The last version of this app was full of bugs so they redesigned it and made it 100% worse.
The update a week ago crashed our app. Hoping we dont lose all our history by having to delete and re-load.
GinSC is easy to use, logical in layout, and works well for scoring one game at a time. I’d like to see a Hollywood scoring option (3 games at a time), but we’re sure this would be a non-trivial addition. Another change I’d like to see, which would be simple, is to the options for Shutout Bonus. Most people we’ve played gin with do not add a specific number of points for shutouts–they double the winner’s total score.
After the latest update it freezes constantly…. Too bad.
This was touted as a gin rummy scorecard. We have played gin rummy for over 50 years and have always used a three column per person score card, keeping track of three games at once. This app doesn’t do that, it is merely adding up scores in a single "column" mode. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP..
This is a great start to an app i’d use all the time. It’s very simple to use. I’d like to see more of the rules reflected here. (1) player must knock with a lower value than the turn card; (2) Double points for a spade turn card; (3) track multiple "life-time" games with multiple players.
Apps is adequate. Like idea of app. Needs more rules and scoring options… More customizable. App is nearly a year old, so not anticipating any updates. Too bad. Prove us wrong, please.
