Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

The gameplay is a logistics fan dream, the T-dolls being based on and having the names of irl firearms is just such a great concept. We enjoyed this vastly more than the second.

Been playing this game since 2018 love the story and everything else! We really hope the game doesn't shut down like the other developer did to other games.

Its pretty good to our surprise, When we saw this we compared it to the new one, But when we downloaded it and played it, it was pretty good even if this game is older than 5 years..we love the gameplay and Gacha so. So if youre looking for a nice and simple game that is fun and kinda addictive, this is it. ALSO if you dont have THAT MUCH storage you can always play this UNTILL u get a new device or more storage to play the new one..SO this is a game for people that doesnt have that much storage.

Like Plants vs. Zombies but totally different and 50x better.

This application has a fond collection of Tactical Dolls of different styles and combat effectiveness, some are monthly (glad you can get them as drops from Campaign), and some are special from collaboration events. Sure some T-Dolls may be hard to obtain for your dream team or completion but the battle gameplay is flawless with the set of weapons, gear and skills each has. And in this commanders opinion, obsoletely the greatest tactical game Ive played.

This game is absolutely phenomenal and Ive had a great time playing it over the years. We got into it for the VA-11 Hall-A event, which was a blast, and we stayed for the great story and cool characters Ive gotten to unlock and interact with. However we do feel like Ive progressed to a point in the story where the game would probably feel better to play on a desktop or laptop. Its a pretty big game and takes quite a bit of thinking and skill to progress across the large maps, Id love to see this game ported to Steam or just to the PC in general, it would make it so much easier to play and so much more fun. But overall, highly recommend to anyone.

So Im really enjoying the game we like the different types of play styles and using different strategies for each level. So we wanted to keep going and we opened our wallet to make things go faster but when you buy the gems pack you can get charged for than what they advertised. We went to buy the 10 dollar pack and they charged us 14.92 . Which is a big red flag . So its a good game just be careful.

The game was a wonderful past time for a long time, but now due to unknown reasons you cant download the full data of the game. The game is extremely storage dependent but about halfway through the download the game will crash and be unable to continue the download. Regardless of if you verify data files or such. Until its fixed we wouldnt recommend downloading the game.

We play the game once in a while, but we had to reinstall it, and it crashes while trying to log into our Game Center account. We hope this bug gets fixed, but otherwise, the game is fine. Ive certainly played lower quality games and had a good time, so have at it, we guess.

The gameplay is pretty fun, also very hard The characters are really cool and the storyline is insane. We found this game from an animator named Empty/H3robrinehunter most of his animations were of this game rest in peace Empty.

We really the game and all but for some reason when we do a mission it is only playing the mission select menu which makes it stupid, extremely annoying and ruins one of the best parts about the game. So please developers please fix this bug so the gameplay can be better.

Okay this game is sick, incredibly fun, great characters, amazing story, basically everything needed to make a phenomenal game. Ignore all the complaints about censorship, get the game, and have yourself a time.

Its honestly a pretty unique game as far as mobile games go. The mechanics and gameplay are cool and we like how summoning duplicates can be used to build your army. The game is just horribly outdated now, with a clunky UI and laggy gameplay. Definitely and desperately needs an update.

After 5 years into playing GFL, excluding a 2 year hiatus since we've gotten bored after time. We would say this. Didn't have to spend a dime to win the game, except for skins of course, which it's optional. Gameplay was fun at first, but once you get deep into the story or having to play newly added events, you start to traverse through some difficulty. What we meant by that is you'll go through an intricate of puzzles where one wrong step or even bringing the wrong team for the mission can cost you your resources and your time, making it tedious after repeat amounts of reattempts, makes it boring for us at this point. It wouldn't be challenging if there are either night battles of which you cannot predict yourself of where you're going without running into an enemy who can wipe out your team easily or maps with tons of nodes to cover. With the same gameplay over and over again, with moving one girl from here to there, made us think that we're honestly surprised that we managed to play the game without noticing how repetitive it was, not to mention how clunky it felt to play this. The guns themselves are unique, given from eras from WW1 to modern times, offers players to choose a variety of weapons to choose. Lately we couldn't really bring ourselves to play the game of how we were back then. Regardless, we still have this game near our heart as we have thought of the good old days of us playing this game hours upon hours of grinding for that sweet sexy 5/7 (hoxy). On the side note, we've started to notice this game has been crashing lately, as we have never encountered this issue before long ago, which it's strange considering our ipad is still relatively up to date (iPad 8th generation).

Nice Girls Thighs… Great gamplay too. :D.

This is by far our 2nd favorite game we wish there were more like this on app store.

Girls Frontline is an older gacha game, but its known for having a very engaging sci-fi story and interesting characters. The gameplay involves managing your squads, deploying them on a map with nodes, and managing their positions in combat mode to avoid attacks and target enemies. For the most part, combat is strategic only, and input is limited to deciding where units move, but there is a surprising amount of depth and strategy within this simple framework. Theres a lot to study and learn about when you first start. The game is very free-to-play friendly, but has a relatively high time commitment where it takes a long time (minutes a day for months) to train units and abilities to highest levels. As the games progressed its become less necessary to acquire max level but its still a bit of a commitment. The game will appeal to those who like to optimize strategies and production, who like near-future post-apocalyptic settings, and who like anime-style art and small arms.

We had started whaling. First few transactions had gone ok. However, made a large purchace around Christmas, and never got our stuff. Support has insisted the purchases will restore, but they have not and we have't gotten anywhere a week after the buys. Be careful.

We would absolutely love to give this app five stars. Its a really fun game with a ton of depth. We love tinkering with our units, playing with different formations and strategies to get better results, and Ive never felt like we have to spend money in order to progress. The artwork is beautiful as well. The one and only problem we have with it is stability! If we play for fifteen minutes, its almost guaranteed to crash at least once. We mean, it reboots pretty quick, and even if Im in the middle of a battle, we can pick up right where we left off, but its still really aggravating. Im playing with the latest updates and iOS, so Im not sure why it crashes so much. Besides that though, it really is an excellent game.

The game concept is great very close to azur lane another great game. The main difference in how fun each is to play comes down to preference and programming skills. We play both we like them both tbh the art and programming and smoothness is far better in azur lane. Ive ran into two glitchs since installing a few days ago. One hard locked the game and we had to uninstall and reinstall. The tutorials in this game are required but if you close or click something the game, hard locks and refuses to let you click anything you just get a continuous loading box. There are a couple more small glitches. Most of them just require you to reboot the game but some of them require you to uninstall on like the other game. Another problem is that your achievements and quests will over, pop the screen repeatedly you will be clicking through all that crap for the first few hours of the game. Its also a bit over complicated compared to azur lane. All and all the game is good if you can deal with the glitches and getting through all little tutorials and quest in the beginning. We do recommend this game though just get past the bad programmed issues and over complicated UI.

We really like the visuals of this game. The anime-style artwork for the characters are great, and their visual designs are nothing short of appealing and thematically on-point with the game's sci-fi setting. The UI, graphics, and animations also fit well with the game and have a satisfying design consitency. Gameplay-wise, we love playing this game. It's fun to move squads around the map and strategize which nodes to take whenever it's our turn to move. Even using the game's resource management systems is fun – they keep us engaged by challenging our ability to properly manage resources amongst multiple characters. The story in this game is what makes us stay. The world of Girls' Frontline has an interesting, albeit depressing, narrative set in a sci-fi apocalypse that is actually intriguing. The character dialogue is written decently enough to make it tolerable and fun to read. Best of all is that the game balances quirky and fun with some seriousness through its characters, which is not easy to do for a game with this kind of setting. As a gachapon, this game is NOT friendly for new players or F2P players. If you want to enjoy this game to the fullest it can be, you either be VERY patient, or spend some money. Despite everything positive said above, the main problem we have with this game is its instability. Girls' Frontline is unstable with it crashing randomly and often on our iPhone, which is really annoying. Constant rebooting is not fun. As mentioned above, gachapon for this game isn't friendly, either. MTX are overpriced in this game more so than other gacha games we played. This is made worse with the progression being extremely grindy. If this game didn't crash so often, the gacha was more new-player friendly, and the game was not so hellish of a grind, we would give this game a higher rating. But we can't because of these circumstances, and it's a shame because this game is really fun.

Bout once or twice a week usually, itll log us out. There have been times when Ive been logged out twice in a single day.

Its funny to watch anime girls use real life guns but this game has a few mild inconviences because of glitches Would be cool if they did collabs with guns from video games.

Game crashes every ~3 minutes of playtime. Was looking forward to playing this game and getting to know the characters/story but its a chore with how unstable the game is.

We dont want to keep logging in with our sunborn if every time we open the app. Its annoying because it goes into the game anyways and Im stuck with a big box saying please log in. When we log in it doesnt even login it just keeps loading forever. We have to restart the game and then open it up to login twice just to play. Its very annoying. Support wont let us unlink our account and bind it to Facebook either.

Sinder told us to download girls frontline and we said no.

The rarity is unfair and a scam the t-doll you dream of will not come and some cannot be build so be careful with this game.

Noobs in combat but rng decides your weapon and theres no vehicles nor boats etc and your units stays in a squad and theres woman yes, worse then trying to use only one unit that cost a lot to complete Soviet afghan war on try hard.

We LOVE the game and we believe they did a good job with this game, the lore is really good and Ive found parts of the game really sad. But altogether we highly recommend this cute and wonderful game.

Fantastic Art with Reasonable Story.

We love the game but it is unclear on the 5 star T doll drop chance and we follow other peoples recipe and it some time disappoints us on how you can get the special t doll but we love the game and keep out with the work.

This type of gacha game shouldnt exist. But wow, Ive been playing since 3/2020. Money can be spent towards cosmetics for characters, and resources. Never have we felt: we should just spend the money on progression through the game. Its a challenge with an actual story. We do end up spending on costumes because you end up actually caring about this game. Its charming. But if you even play casually, everything you want is attainable for free(but youve got to work for it). Its outlived every fps Ive played, mainly since its easy to play while multitasking. Learn how the game works, and make it work for you.

We really enjoy Girls Frontline for the wide variety of dolls and the ability to level and customize them. There is a lot of lore and the devs seem to be providing weekly updates and patches with new content. Although the campaigns seem to be recycled, it is nice for a newer player to catch up. There is quite a bit of grinding. While one can pay for more chances in the gacha lottery, resources, and costumes. The devs have provided pretty solid free to play mining experience compared to other gacha games. We really like the moe universe set in guns and each character has really nice sprite art and detailed portraits.

It is a good game when you start it but it keep saying they finding illegal action and plz relog back in and we do and it doesnt fix it but except that the challenge we are having it is fun.

Amazing game but recently we did an XP battle and ever since our game has been stuck in a glitch on the same battle. We lose the battle and it kicks us back to the start screen and then takes us right back to the battle again which we lose. Really irritating bc we havent been able to play for a week plus and theres no way for us to report the problem when we cant even get to the Home Screen to write a report to the game. We even tried deleting the app and downloading it again to restart it and nothing changes. We dont know what to do and if its just a bug that needs fixed or what but seeing that the last update was 4 months ago its not looking very good for us which makes us sad bc we had a lot of fun playing it.

Nobody likes censorship, there is no need for censorship, just make the game 17+.

Everything is perfect about the game, the art and voice acting, but ive lost our account after we transferred to a new phone. Ive made a new account to contact support, but we dont understand how we need screenshots of first time playing or last time logging in in order to regain our account. Ive tried for at least 2 months at least to try to regain our account but no luck. We would give this game 5 stars if we can regain our account back. Our old account was FallenHood the new one is just called FallenHoode, if anyone is in support, please help us regain our account. We would much appreciate it.

Crashes often, breaks and replaces the UI with the original CN variant, updates often are either negligibly small or will (on rare occasion) brick the game while trying to download one of the last files, the list goes on. HOWEVER. Its 4 stars, the game is an utter joy to autistically collect cute, incredibly busted girls on.

Fun game. But not cool that they censored costumes years after you already bought them. The characters you fell in love with look completely different now and we cant help but feel like they secretly cheated us because they never said they were going to censor the game AGAIN after they already censored the original art.

This games producer is headquartered in Shanghai, which means they answer to the Communist Party of China. This could be spyware.

When we updated to iOS 15, the game audio is gone when we switch apps or lock the phone and come back. Have to restart the game if we want to hear anything again. Which will all go away yet again if we dont stay in the game. 5 stars still because its a great game.

Been playing since the first week it came out we like it a lot the art and the story as well as some side stories.

Gaining depression alongside fellow cute T-dolls is something we dont mind at all.

RELEASE GIRLS FRONTLINE 2 FOR GLOBAL PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Among the most enjoyable f2p gacha games available. Great character art, engaging team setups, easily defined progression goals, and fun gameplay are among its strengths. Its not as generous as Azur Lane, nor as unforgiving as FGO, but maintains a wonderful middle ground with its gameplay/gacha loop. It does, however, require a huge amount of hard drive space on your device. Much larger than the 3.7GB file size listed here on the App Store. If you have an older device with limited storage, you likely wont be playing any other mainstream gacha games alongside this one. Still, if you have the space and are a fan of firearms and anime girls, this game is extraordinary.

We have been clearing cache, restarting the app, and doing everything in our power to update the game. But the update does not load properly and wont let us continue past the update. It is stuck in an infinite loading screen where it gives us multiple errors saying that certain files cant be found. Every time we press "retry" to let the game find the supposed missing files, it gives us the same files that we pressed retry for. We do not know if you have an update coming up but we would love to get back into this game as soon as possible as you guys just announced girls front line exfilium. Hopefully, you guys respond in a timely matter as we love this game but it is loads of bugs that need to be fixed.

We TRIED to play this game but downloads non-stop failed. Then when we checked the game was taking up almost 12 GB alone.

Hello guys we have concluded that downloading this game has not only given us problems, but absolutely rage. How does a single mobile game has that many file corruptions? We tried countless times trying to download this game only to face certain but all files to show up failures and yet we have to click the Ok button for almost 250+ times. Is that bit too much? This is the game we wanted to try, but we guess it has that much file corruptions has completely prevented us. Also what is the point of Delete Cache only to face more issues. We are done with this game and isnt worth your time.

We installed the game for the first time a few days ago. Here, it says the apps size is 3.7 GB, which we have more than enough space for on our phone. When it fully downloaded, it somehow took up around 5 GB… Strange, but we let it slide. Then we had to download the new update, which somehow took up the rest of our storage with a whopping 8 GB before it even finished downloading the whole thing. We have reinstalled the app 3 times since then and that same thing always happens. Its out of our control… This app is trolling us.
