This is one of our favorite games on the iPad. The scenery is easily the best we’ve seen for a mobile flight simulator. Theres not much to do in the game but such is the nature of being a Glider pilot. The goal is to stay aloft as long as possible. You accomplish this by seeking out the Thermals which are pretty hard to find. The landscape is pretty large, we were able to stay in the air long enough to explore and we found a town and a pretty neat looking lake. If youre a try fan of flight simulation we highly suggest this game. If you just want to show off what your iPad can do we also suggest this. Pros – Great graphics Cons – No missions and a lack of modes isn’t great.
We purchased after finding out they added accelerometer support but once flying, we noticed that none of the gauges work. Cant even tell our airspeed. Graphics are beautiful though.
This app appears to give you the experience of flying a glider at your fingertips. As a glider pilot, we thought what would be pretty cool so we went ahead and got the app. It turns out, the app crashes when you try to do anything, we didn’t even get to the part where there is a simulation because it crashes on the home screen. Until this is improved, we don’t think anyone should get this app.
We were so disappointed in this app. We are a glider pilot, so we thought it would be fun to get a little down time flying. We have two iPads and and the app will not start on either one. So as we would like to do a better review, we never even got to the flying part. Had high hope but was very disappointed.
Terrible app. To control, it requires the keyboardkeyboard? If you used it, it would eat up the screen. Forget this cludge. There are some much better.
You are forced to watch a video ad before EVERY flight. Absolute junk.
We tend to buy every flight simulator. This is a relatively simple game but it offers some amazing visuals and scenery. The plane seems to be well modeled and behaves realistically. If youre a fan of flight simulation or gliders get it.
Great graphics–fun glider to fly.
We really enjoyed this game. The graphics are incredible, in line with the other games we’ve downloaded from this developer. The glider is easy to fly. All in all, we found this to be a pretty solid flight simulator glider game.
Very playable. Great scenery, graphics. Glider is a great vehicle to explore the terrain.
- NEEDS an actual selection of gliders 2) Needs yaw string 3) Needs audible tones to assist glide Camera controls are sluggish, cockpits could use work. Scenery looks great though. I’d recommend Xtreme Soaring by Phanotives if you want something with a range of options, although the scenery isn’t as nice as this.
