We were very impressed by the games initial presentation. It has a unique aesthetic and a good soundtrack. Unfortunately the game does not have much content to back up its artstyle. Worth a play every now and then. The game would be improved a lot if there were more missions and some form of upgrading your ship (besides picking up weapons).
We don’t have many games on our phone, and this is one of them. Aesthetically this is one of the best games on iOS.
We love this game, better than any we have played. One feature that would be nice would be you would get a new . Col file when you beat a boss, also, on our phone it won’t show the bullets but still hits things.
We normally don’t play these types of games. Usually we stick to puzzle games. We came across Sputnik Eyes earlier, and decided to try it out. After getting it, we were really impressed with the graphics/charm, and the skills of the developer. So, we decided to check out their other games… Was not disappointed. This game is also amazing and unique. Graphically it’s stunning. The gameplay is so fun. Get it.
Boss minions sometimes go off screen, making it nearly impossible to avoid them.
Beautifully done! Every element in the design is so well done. (I LOVE the options to remove the distortions.) The sound design is just perfect. Bravo. We’ve only had the app for a day it’s our already overtaken Shooty Skies as our favorite shoot-em-up for the iPhone.
Awesome retro fun. Simple concept. Retro but original game. Only negative is sometimes our finger covers the screen and we get attacked. But we can’t imagine a fix that would not hamper the game. Ya just got to pay attention to what your finger is blocking. We love that you can turn off CRT. (It’s a fun novelty the first couple times. But we like it off) Maybe a quicker "boot to game" option someday.
The game is great, and the music is incredible as well, but please don’t cut off any outside audio. We love listening to podcasts while we play non-narrative games. This game won’t allow this. Bad form.
The gameplay is straightfoward. Its a bullet hell game and its really fun too. Although we wish the game would stop shutting off our music when we play.
We know you liked that trailer. Just buy the game. You will like it. Just do it! It’s only two dollars. Just buy it.
Glitchskier is a great shoot em up type game with a classic twist. We absolutely love the style of the game because it feels like playing on an old PC with a CRT monitor on your phone. The progression starts easy but becomes increasingly challenging as you continue and with the ability to unlock different themes as you progress you have the freedom to customize your experience as you please. Overall, we thoroughly enjoy this game and will be looking forward to the updates in the future.
This game is freaken awesome! If you love shoot’em ups you will absolutely love this game! It’s done so well. The art style is so unique. There are tons of enemies and bosses as well as different weapons and power ups that randomly spawn. Enemies come at you from everywhere. You must take risks to obtain the points to get a high score. This is one of the best shooters to come out this year. We would love to see future DLC and we would absolutely be willing to pay for it as we think only charging $1 for this game was too cheap in the first place thank you devs for such a fun and artistic game.

An experimental, minimalist shmup with an "old school geek" theme, set to ambient electronicawhat’s not to love? We’re digging the novelty of the glitched-out CRT visuals (which can be disabled if they’re not your thing). $2 well spent. We can tell we’ll be coming back to this one.
Great game, satisfyingly difficult, with an amazing aesthetic. Honestly it would be an easy five stars except for one flaw: it absolutely decimates the battery on our brand new iPhone 6S. Not going to be something you can play casually a few times throughout your day without needing to charge your phone.
Runs slow and jerky on our phone, even with effects turned off. Otherwise a pretty standard shmup with a glitch theme.
Nothing really new here. Good visuals and music. But there are lots of bullet hell shooters that are way better. The first part is pretty easy, got through it on our third try. The infinite play ramps up the difficulty but doesn’t add anything new.
Shame to the developer for releasing this paltry attempt at entertainment. Shame on Apple for supporting it. A developer has no skills when they must rely on randomly spawning enemies which beeline into your ship in order to kill you during a boss fight. Go back to school, or better yet, start a career as a toll booth operator. Anyone giving this string of code five stars should have both thumbs forcibly amputated.
It’s simply one of the best shooters on the App Store. Check out the forum on TouchArcade; everyone is raving about it (and these guys know shooters). We saw a review on here that said the controls aren’t very good. Hogwash! They’re perfect and there IS relative touch, for those too ignorant to see the option in the options menu. The music and style are among the best and most unique on all the AppStore. Trust us, get it! Two of the best bucks we’ve ever spent.
We’re always surfing around for new apps with "Glitch" in the title, so we instantly snagged this up. It’s a great game! The aesthetic as it’s biggest selling point, but it’s actually a lot of fun too. Highly replayable.
What limits this game would be its poor controls. Should have stuck with a d-pad or joystick. To move the triangle you have to hold your finger over it, and drag, which is stupid. Nice concept. Not a fan, but we will rate it well.
Love the geeky format and tons of fun, but finished all the bosses in 2 hours! Need more bosses to kill!!!
Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t believe the experience! We’re addicted by the bosses and new power-ups/colors we can get. Wish the main screen would stay to where you last left it, not going to how it was when we started… It’s superb!

We can’t play this game with it having to be plugged into our phone! 5 minutes with the game on and our battery drained 32%! This has to be fixed before we can change our rating. Using a iPhone 6s+

This is a great work of art in the pre-web hacker aesthetic! It takes the form of a cracked ware, and to drive the point home, things don’t always work as expected. We’re thinking even the lag is intentional.
If you can appreciate vintage technology, then this is a computer geek’s dream version of Galaga. Simulated double-clicks and CRT distortion coupled with geeky jokes that are accurate for the would-be era. Dev did a great job on this game to make it simple, but complex. It looks messy, but the finely tuned UI really captivates the player. Well done!
This is one of the best games we’ve played if not the best game. Only change we would do would be that once you saw the tutorial at the beginning it would never appear again. Keep it up!
Although you can toggle music off and on, there’s no option for sound. Often we like to listen to music while we play. Adding an option to toggle sound off and on would be a good quality of life change.
We feel like this game needs a story mode, maybe the villain is an antivirus or firewall. Overall, that would be a great addition to the game, when we got it, we expected a story, so please make it happen!
We absolutely love the art style and music of the game! We really want to love this game, but every time we try to play it we get ridiculous lag. Our phone is up to date and we’ve never experienced lag in other games. At first we thought it was intentional because someone in this review section said it could be intentional, but we watched other people playing it on YouTube to confirm, and well, it’s not intentional. We tried looking into it with app support and apparently you need 2GB of storage to run the game smoothly? (4 gigs for pc) Before that we tried getting rid of most of our apps that we can live without, tried turning on airplane mode, removed background apps etc etc, even got the recent 10.2 iOS update and still no use. We really want to play this game, we might consider getting the pc version but honestly we’re really upset we can’t play this on our phone since it looks like a lot of fun. Instead of saying you need 84 MB of space just say 2GB… Or otherwise fix it.
We finished the game….. And all we have to say is…. We want our $2 back.
If you have an iPhone 5 do not waste your money on this game. The extreme lag makes it simply unplayable. Do not buy it until they fix this problem.
Game is great, sounds are awesome, gameplay is good but if you get anywhere over 1500 the game becomes so laggy you cant even play, we were generous to give it two stars ( we’re playing on a 6 fyi)
There are a lot of better games for free this game is just so broken it isn’t even funny the developers are probably laughing because how many people they scammed.
