Description
Tired of perusing joy and success in your gaming? Have we got the game for you! Gloom: Digital Edition is a dark, macabre game where your goal is to make your family as miserable as possible while bringing joy and good fortune to your opponent’s families.
In Gloom: Digital Edition, you play a series of morbidly humorous negative Modifier Cards on your family members giving them negative Self-Worth points. Such tragedies as "Being mauled by manatees", "Swindled by salesmen" and "Menaced by mice" are "good" for you. And, you play positive Modifier Cards on your rival’s family giving them positive Self-Worth points. Good fortune such as being "Delighted by ducklings", "Found fame at a feast", and Blessed by the bishop are "bad" for them.
Additionally, you can play Event Cards to cancel turns, bring characters back from the dead and other meta things. Finally, when you’re "happy" with your family member’s collection of negative points, play an Untimely Death, shuffling them off this mortal coil. When an entire family has met their demise, you total up the points. The family with the most negative points wins! Well, if you can call that "winning".

The game is really good and challenging. The app tho…. It glitches so much, we cant even buy the expansion pack it offers. We often times cant tap our cards, because of where theyre placed, our iphone thinks Im trying to go back to the main screen, this has made us wonder if the creators are familiar with iOS. The glitches make it hard to play there are times that we just quit the app and forget about it. The only reason we keep it on our phone is because we hold hope that one day we will be able to play the game without so many issues.
We love the physical version of this game! We love that the app has the cards animated and talking! What we dont like is how this game crashes so much, and it seems like the AIs always gang up on us from the very beginning. With a few updates this app could easily be a 5 star game!
Im having a lot of fun with Gloom. We were a fan of the tabletop game and this is a great adaptation! The artwork and music are great and the bots are a good challenge. Using an iPhone XR and no issues so far. Would be nice to be able to tell stories but otherwise a fun time!
A lot of fun. Very cool that the first expansion pack is included in the game. Hope to see us. Very stable for us on iPhone 11.
The game works fine, but on an iPad, the screen is rotated 180 degrees from the default landscape orientation that any iPad user with a case expects, and there doesnt seem to be any way to fix. Its a small thing, but its annoying enough to cost a Star.
We’ve always been a huge fan of the game. We were super excited to see you bring it to iOS. Thank you! But when our wife and we play , at some point she gets disconnected from the game and theres no rejoin option ? We are using the newest iPad, good connections. Very disappointed:( Im glad we paid for this and dont want a refund. We want our money to go towards improving your game. Keep at it and fix it so we can resume online connections!
We like solo games, but so far it feels like all the bots attack you while helping each other, making it 3 on 1, no logical ai attacks on each other. You could have no points, and the bot attacks you when another bot is way ahead. Its very easy to accidentally play a card when you just want to read it, hurting yourself. Unable to rotate to other horizontal orientation to use our case as a stand. Other than that, we love gloom, and this could get 5 stars from us.
It crashed in the middle of the first game we played. We wasnt even playing online mode.

Wont start a Solo game at all. Love the game and it looks good on here but needs errors fixed.
App starts, and it gets as far as the ai selecting families. Then crash. Every time. IPad, running most current updates.
A few rounds into an online game the other player is replaced with a bot. Doesnt matter how many times we start a room, the game refuses to let us play together.
Unable to play on our IPad mini 2. Dies when we try to load.
