A Glimpse into Gnomitaire

Gnomitaire is a tiny Solitaire for clever Gnomes.

Short 5 minute gameplay sessions allow for quick bursts of tense puzzle gameplay. In Challenge mode you are pitted against 9 other friendly foes on a continues highscore chase to reach the best and most precious ranks.

This game is great all the way around, stunning and captivating art, short yet interesting gameplay and supposedly simple rules. Unfortunately it falls short due to the fact that some rules are not explained and the game will not allow you to place certain cards that should absolutely be allowed to be placed. If you dont mind restarting every few games due to this then we highly recommend playing.

Only at the very beginning if theres somewhat of a tutorial but theres sometimes to where some people havent played it for a while we might need a tutorial selection to refresh.

This is a confusing micro game. The UI symbols are way too small and the blue and green symbols are too close in color value that its difficult to see what is what. It seems like we cant play some cards even though they appear to be legal to place. Its free because we the player am being tracked. Make a different micro-game out of the Card Thief characters with better UI designs.

High quality, no ads. Check Card Thief from this developer, if you are into this style.

We love everything Arnold Rauers and his team creates and appreciate them releasing this ad-free gem. Why theyve decided to create a free game, we dont know, but we would hope that they enjoyed making it, because we cant imagine they are making any money from this at all. So to all of you complaining about how this game isnt a masterpiece, go buy Card Crawl or Maze Machina, or any of their other great games and realize that gnomitaire is probably just a pleasant, free, short game with great design to hold the casual gamers over until this pandemic ends.

Great game except that it seems impossible to get to the first rank, and we’ve only even seen 1 person at the second rank (and that person just plummeted to rank 10 for what reason we have no idea)

Why are all of your card games only one level??? Its killing us!!! Theyre so great & so short!! It feels so incomplete & sad!

Showed this game to girlfriend and she loves it too, no idea how they monetize tho.

This is a cute little version of solitaire with symbols and a card dealing gnome. We love that its free and does not offer in-app purchases. Its simple and fun. Very glad we downloaded it.

Cute solitaire puzzle. Sometimes doesnt let you place a valid card, though.

Minimal ads (can use some as a continue in the challenge mode). Clever spin off of solitaire. We just really wish the simple rules always applied. There are certain cases where unexplained rules start to apply. Not sure if its a bug or intentional. If intentional, these hidden rules are inconsistent at best.

We like the game, but there are things we dont quite understand about it. Why do certain cards get locked from play when they have Match to play on? Then later get unlocked for no apparent reason. Wish there was a rules sheet in the game menu, but its not explained why this happens.

When you make a mistake, the game automatically forces you to either quit or watch an add to fix your mistake. Id rather struggle and have to rearrange cards than be corrected.

We dont understand entirely how to play, but we played four times and didnt lose. We are not even trying, Im just doing the only moves that are eligible? How is that fun lol.

We love the way that the game looks and hope that the developer makes more games with this art style. All the game needs is a story line instead of a card game.

We’ve played Card Thief and ENYO, and this is up to par with those games. Super fun, we would seriously suggest it.

Free (no IAP or ads!) with excellent art and the challenge mode is very cool.

Play Miracle Merchant if you live this game. Also Card Thief.

How dare the developer of this game put it on the AppStore without advertisements, in app purchases, a battle pass, payable cosmetic changes, pay to win, paid loot boxes, pause for breathing, a VIP subscription, 5 different currencies, and a nagging timed offer. God the AppStores are horrible nowadays. Anyway, thank you for being a genuine, fun free game. We love it! Our only critique is the gnome getting angry when you win. We think it would be more cute if he was excited and happy that you won vs being sad and angry that you lost. Hope that helps! Thanks again, this app is great!

No ads. No in-app purchases. Simple. Engaging. A treat for the brain and eyes (art style is fun and interesting). Do we wish there was more to the app? Of course. However, this is a free app for a simple game with endless replayability. Our only frustration is not understanding why some cards match up and others dont. We feel the tutorial is lacking this critical information. This lacking is also preventing us from enjoying the Expert mode. If this minor issue can be addressed and solved, we will gladly bump up our rating to 5 stars.

The challenge ranking system is terrible when you get up to higher ranks. It would be understandable if it got harder to progress as you rank up, but we just won a challenge and got 0 points from it. The formula needs some sort of tweaks. Also, we’ve had challenges that somehow end up with 11/10 people and dont end until the time limit runs out, and challenges that stop at 10/10 and also dont end until the time limit runs out. (Good job making sure the game doesnt literally break, but we would really appreciate if we didnt have to wait an extra 8 hours to play a challenge, given that we can only have 3 active at a time.) Other than that, the game is pretty great, but challenges are kinda terrible sometimes.

The developers other games are fleshed out. This has no meat to it. After a few hands, its boring. The challenge mode is nice but it has no restart or undo feature … So 1 mistake and you sube to fully quit, then go back through various menus to start.

It is so fun if we could give this game 10 stars we would. We really enjoy playing this game great job!

This game was super fun and easy to learn in our first day we got really good at it . Download now.

What a great little game to pull us through the BS that is Quarantine again! Lots of love for Arnold and his hard efforts.

The art is stunning but when we saw the pictures on the cards we thought those combinations would do something like create potions or get battle points. Its just missing the extra little something to be like wow this is the next hit!

Really fun game with a really fun art style as well! We enjoy the fun spin on the normal solitaire, and while the game doesnt have much more than just the game itself, its also free to play with 0 in game transactions which is a huge plus!!! 4-Stars.

1 star for no audio. Game is incomplete . Even the most basic solitaire games have some sort of sound. Sound works. Change to 3 stars.

Its really just solitaire with a few added features. Its fun and Ill probably keep the app but thats about it. Nothing extraordinary.
