We loved the game, but a feature is unnecessary. When the 1/50/100 gold tappy thing shows up, it messes us up. When you tap on it, commander video doesn’t jump. When going for a high score, we often hit this button on accident. This ruins our high score. It would help if you found a different way for it to appear on screen. Just please don’t make it come from the left because we bet most right-handed people tap in the top left corner. It’s a pain to have to tap in the bottom left corner. It always messes us up. Thank you! You made a game with nice music and great gameplay.
This is a great app but its been 6 years since its been updated.
On our top 5 most addicting games list awesome time killer and 8 bit graphics an essential must have for 8 bit gamers. Definitely get it. Ps need to have good coordination in order to get the 1/50/100 tap thing!! What are u waiting for just get it all ready!!!!!!
Just like they did back on the Wii, Choice Provisions once again blows our mind with the quality of their games. Instead of just copying their characters into a generic endless runner, they made a full fledged, endless version of the bonus stages of the original game, combined with plenty of fair bit tough gimmicks to keep things interesting and a ton of great songs to listen to while running. Also loved the shop theme, a remix of one of the songs from Bit Trip. Even if you just download it, show your support! We got in app purchases and don’t regret it.
This is a great game but can you guys please but bit. Trip flux, void, runner, fate, core, and the other one that is like flux please.
Its awesome but why when you jump you fall.
Needs audio options and variations for backgrounds and stages.
The game is good and addicting, but theres some glitches with the game so we suggest fixing those.
We love this game, we’ve gotten all the hats and characters ! It would be nice to add more stages or backgrounds to the app, maybe throw in a few new hats and characters ! New playing options would be nice ! Overall, great app just keep adding new things within the app in order to keep the app in a nice place/pace ! Good luck !
For the love of all that’s sacred please add a way to pay to get rid of the ads. We want to pay. The game kicks butt! We love it! We love the music and the graphics. We love the shop. But for the love of all that’s sacred the ads are ruining it. We want to pay to get rid of them. They also use our data!
But doesn’t hold a candle to the original bit. Trip runner which doesn’t appear to have survived the 64 bit apocalypse. I’d buy that all over again.
Normally we are a huge fan of the bit. Trip games and commander video and his friends but we were surprised that commander video has a game on our iPhone but we thought it was for the Wii and for the 3DS so we played it for 39 minutes but when we exited the game and went back to playing it our entire progress was deleted and we couldnt find a way to save our progress before we exited the game. Please update this game to where it will save the progress please. If the next update will save the progress we would appreciate it very well and many other people who play this game will appreciate it if it saves the progress too. We do hate it when our progress gets deleted and we cant save our progress. We went through a lot in the game once and had everything available in the shop for the game but it is all gone now that it wont save our progress. Pleased add a save feature so that people dont lose their progress on this game and it would be great if it would save the game progress. Thanks.
Wow the music for this app is epic. Not to mention the graphics as well.
The 8-bit soundtrack got us immediately. Then the cool tutorial at the menu screen was teaching us how to do it. The guy’s rainbow trail. The soundtrack. The procedural generation is bomb, & we already have over 700+ Golds! And dying is counted as bonks?!? Dude, you guys. We met you at PAX & played Woah Dave on your retro arcade that you built yourself. We’re proud to play this game since you’re involved, & this seriously rocks!!!
We just saw this game and we saw the rainbow guy :) we realized that it’s a game that we used to play on the computer as well! We can’t wait to find out more about this game, and if it is anything like bit-trip runner on the computer.
Thanks for the game now we can never stop playing the game. We suggest that we think that the game should have hats that have stats and the characters having stats as well as worlds. But so far you do such a good job on this game. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
A perfect endless runner!!! Addicting goodness, great art great soundtrack.
We downloaded this game from the top featured because we recognized the title name. It’s been three days and we’ve already unlocked all the cool little hats and characters! It’s THAT great and addicting. Looking forward to any updates and new features – if they’re planned. If not, we definitely enjoy what it currently is.
It’s way too easy to buy items from the menu, sometimes we bought an item by accident. Also you should be able to skip the ending "parts" (where the scores load slowly) by tapping. Other than that it’s an awesome game!

We decided to download this game because it looked interesting. We started playing it and couldn’t stop playing. We got all the costumes in two days. It is fun and addicting.
Well, we had never previously played a Commandervideo game before, but we were pleasantly surprised with this game. Just the way the physics work and the difficulty set this apart and make it much better then other endless runners. BUT, the game does have one bug so far. What happens is in the "Tap to Start" button makes us tap it around six times before the game actually starts, but other than that, it’s a great game!
We used to have the demo of this game on our wii and we really liked it but we like this bette.
One of our all time favorite games is Bit. Trip presents: Runner 2: The Legend of Rhythm Alien. So we love commander video. It’s the challenging mini game that is a race to the end. We’re super pumped they made it into its own game.
When we saw this in the app store having previously played Runner2, we realized how perfect of a match this was. Commander Video was basically made to be in an endless runner app. The game is pretty addicting, mostly getting gold to collect new costumes. (With a neat guest appearance costume we noticed) however, after playing hundreds of times, we can barely get too far while trying our hardest. We never feel like we’re doing well in the game, it starts off fast as heck. We’ve gotten to 25 for our highest score. It’d be nice if it got to this point of difficulty over time, and if you’re going to make nearly instant deaths, at least have a little more variety in the level. Anyways, good and addicting app, should have more variety & not be TOO insanely difficult.
Will bring nostalgia to those who played retro platforming games such as Super Mario Bros. Our only complaint is that ads pop up frequently and taps sometimes remain unresponsive, causing multiple deaths.
This game is good and brings back a lot of good memories of playing platforms like the nes snes and more but there is a strange glitch when you jump on a platform you may die without even touching a enemy.
The cliffs kill you too easily. Other than that you fall pretty quickly, but the game and the music was pretty awesome. We only played for a bit. Anyway 4/5.
This game first didn’t appeal to us since we didn’t get very far, but as we learned from our mistakes, we started to get better and better. Plus, the in-game store makes us want to buy everything by collecting as much gold we can to get every hat and character. Though, we wish there were more items to buy, like maybe backgrounds or the rainbow that follows your character. Also, we sometimes get a small lag spike that messes up some of our runs, therefore crippling us in getting higher scores (I’m using an iPhone 5S). Either way, it is a great game that actually trains your reaction time pretty well, and makes you wanna get to the top of the leaderboards. And come on, it’s commander video from bit trip; you gotta love this guy!
Another endless runner, but we played the Runner game on the Wii, so seeing this we gave it a run and is still addicting. The music is great and jump inputs seem on point. Our only gripes are that the start menu won’t start when we tap the screen a lot and how quickly our eyes begin to hurt from a short round due to the quick and bright colors.
So this app is really fun and addicting but we usually enjoy the bit trip series music so it would be awsome if we could turn off the sounds that gold make when collected like a settings section EVERY other game has thanks.
Love the series, and this is a very awesome mobile translation of Runner. We would love to pay to drop that ad though. Please let us give you money thru an IAP rather than ad revenue.
Great little addictive game for when you want to distract yourself for a few minutes. We hate that we love it, and we’re sure the castle is just a figment of our imagination. We could do without the constant ads (hence 4 stars) when you die, but for a free game it’s worth it.
Game is fun. Pretty bog standard for a bit. Trip game. There is no way to mute the game so we can play while listening to a podcast or music because the game sounds drown everything else out. The jumps are a bit finicky. Sometimes we die when we feel like we landed. Sometimes we tap but game doesn’t respond, especially after multiple rapid taps. Not a huge deal, but gets worse as you get further in the game. We want the music to be in line with the gold and jumps like previous titles, but we understand that isn’t possible because the game is procedurally generated.
Trash need we say more waste of time do not download.
Tapping to jump is unpredictable and unresponsive. Fix it.
This is the dumbest thing think since team sports. Instant delete.
We have both Bit. Trip Runner games for the PC and have played them both to 100% numerous times. We were therefore disappointed to find that this game is just a generic platformer/runner with a CommanderVideo skin. It has none of the charm of the original games. Heck, your actions aren’t even in time with/contributing to the music, which we feel should have been first on the list for a Runner spinoff! Other than comparisons to the original games, we also feel that the game is unresponsive at times and gets too hard too fast. We just didn’t like this app and don’t recommend it.
Finishing porting that game over!!! Please!!!!
