For the first round, they had no ads unless you wanted to watch them to earn more chances. But after you past the first round, ads start showing up even when you didnt select it.

Only 2 shots without add ons is way to hard and makes the game almost impossible to play.

This game is very fun and enjoyable, it is challenging at some points but it just takes practice, and time but its worth the time!

This game is fun and stressful at the same time. W tho.

It takes a lot of time and effort to get through the courses. However, we love it. The challenge keeps us coming back.

We’ve basically finished the game we have completed all the worlds and got to the elite daily challenge and the game is still fun. We have played this game mostly ever day and we will keep it this way. Cant wait to the future for this game.

Lovely game, it is the best. Although, we would like another course to play. :)

We dont really play mobile games. But this one is one of the good ones. Great play styles and options on every hole.

We think this is the first time we’ve written a review for an app literally ever since getting our first iPhone in 2011. Golf odyssey reminds us of the simple genius of early mobile games. It actually engages with you. Its addictive but not ruining addictive. Its relaxing. Its challenging. In a sea of poorly designed games with ads every .2 seconds, golf odyssey stands out. Its been a very long time since we’ve come across such a high quality game. We were happy to pay a couple of bucks not to watch ads for an extra ball or a second chance. We think thats why we made it through all the available worlds in about a week. We feel ambivalent about a permanent extra ball being attached to the purchase. On the one hand, it feels like pay for purchase play. On the other hand, it is a nice little bonus with getting rid of the ads. We think it would be cool to be able to toggle it on and off. Im surprised theres only 5 worlds so far! The game deserves more. In the meantime, we wish there were achievements to give the past worlds replay value. Like personal records of most hole in ones, least balls used, max hole in one streak, number of times world was completed, number of times a certain level was completed, etc. That way, you can take the time to carefully and properly develop future worlds and someone like us who got ahead can replay the old ones to bump up their stats. Thank you for the fun!

This games gorgeous! The music and art are lovely. The gameplay is addicting as well. We opted to pay 1.99 to get the extra life and extra chances after failing. The first three worlds were relatively easy, but our goodness the 4th world is brutal! After attempting it some 100 times we decided to stop. Its a shame cause we really enjoyed it, but we had a hard time improving our shots from attempt to attempt. If we had a note, we think an option to see what your last shot was, both the strength and the position, that way you can judge your shot based on how well you did last hit. Additionally we think a way to permanently increase the amount of balls you have would be nice, maybe add an option to rent for a low amount, or buy for a very expensive price, and increase the price for each ball. Overall its a great game that would like to keep playing, but we cant seem to crack world 4.

Fun and relaxing game. Kind of frustrating how predatory the in-app purchases and ad watching is. To have more than two tries on each hole you either have to watch a bunch of ads or spend $2/game to get enough balls to win. We would like it more if there was more freedom to play without shilling over money all the time.

Game is fun overall but its really hard. 20 shots in a row with only two balls. Would be helpful if the balls you didnt use in the previous levels roll over. For example if we make a whole in one in one shot the ball we didnt use should be used in the level after.

They only give you two trys to make it in the hole and if you dont, you have to restart the entire set. If you want an extra try you have to watch an ad. Very annoying game if you arent willing to watch ads every 5 seconds to advance. Should just sell the game ad free.

Boring, nothing but a way to make people watch ads, not a way to keep people engaged.

Fun concept but couldnt get past one round without having to watch like 5 long ads. Uninstalled immediately.

We installed the game and uninstalled in less than 5 minutes. First off, you start the game off with just two balls. That’s two balls per hole. If you can’t make the hole in two balls, you have the option to watch an ad for a third ball or watch an ad for a second chance. Like really? OK you give us options to spend coins on more balls so we don’t have to keep watching ads but sheeesh man come on, this is disgusting. Almost all of the reviews we read here failed to mention the ads or lack of balls so we’re not sure if they’re dropping cash right off the bat or if they’re perfect players. Rubbish game.

The game is easy to start and fun to play.

Would be nice if you could invert controls to change finger swipe direction to charge shot.

Such a simplistic game but really makes you grind to pass worlds.

Not too many games like this – peaceful and a good level of challenge. Recommend for sure.

This game probably has the calmest theme song but it gets so infuriating at the later levels. We really do hope the random zoom levels werent intentional from the developers and would be fixed.

Really awesome game. Would be very cool if there were different types of golfballs that had different characteristics. Like a bouncy one, a slippery one, a heavy one. We highly recommend this game.

This is a really nice little game. The only problem is theres not enough of it! More please.

Love the game but how about a shooting game.

Its like limbo but golf and slightly more color of an evening sunset with relaxing music. That being said we were so tempted to absolutely bash this game because of abusive relationship with ads. Its absurd how bad it is, the Dev must be a greedy individual . Its strange because greed dont match the game . Youd think it be slightly more layer back with other ways of paying for the game than 7 to 10 ADS per 20 holes and thats if your at least decent at the game.

The game is dope, but something we think that could make it better is when you get a hole in one, the leftover ball adding to the balls for the next hole. That way theres more stake(and incentive) to get it in one shot.

First of all, we want to say that we love this game. We’ve been looking for a game like this for a long time! This is the perfect game! But the courses are too long. The courses should be shortened or there could be a checkpoint at hole 10/20 so you dont have to start over every time. Other than that, the game is great.

Its a great game but we think the ball should roll a little more.

Love the aesthetic, best way we could describe the gameplay is The Dark Souls of golf games.

Fun game, but we dont really like that you have to go through 20 levels in one course. Its gets repetitive fast.

We’ve only been playing a couple of hours but this game is very difficult. Perfect physics and can definitely keep our attention, but jeez its tough.

Seems like a cancer on many of the golf and billiards game genres. The strength meter is useless. This game will leave you guessing what power level you hit the ball with. Not hard, its easy to use a percentage as your power level and a simpler UI. Sometimes, retro for the sake of retro doesnt look good. Some retro text of a 50% shot power instead of who knows what 2 dots does would have made for a far more usable game.

Thought it would be kinda fun and challenging but its just annoying starting all the way over every time.

We were really enjoying this game and its simple concept but recently it started forcing ads every time your game ends and to us forced ads are just a deal breaker. Too bad because we were enjoying it.

Really just not a fan of inverted controls.

To many ads 0/10 dont waste your time its sooooooooo bad if we could we would give zero STARS.

We feel like the game honestly needs some form of tutorial no matter what. Also the physics are bad honestly. The ball does not roll once it hits the ground. The whole aiming system needs some form of chance since aiming is insanely hard to get all levels right in 2 tries. How do you even get coins? Overall it could be better but there are many flaws and it is confusing to get started.

Just get desert golf, its a non-pay to win version of this.
