Took a while to get into the groove when we first started. We would play for a few minutes and get stuck and then put it down. Frequently time away would give us fresh eyes to see what we had missed previously. By the end we understood how to play. We are about to start our second time through. We are looking forward to understanding the story. The accolades for this game are deserved. It is amazing. It is well balanced. It is multi-layered. We want more.
This is a beautiful game with a very unique mechanic. Fun to play, but it is very short. We were able to get through it in about 3 hours, which is quite fast given the price tag. Still, we would say that it’s worth it because it really is gorgeous and fun.
Although it might not be as deep in plot or have as wide a variety of game mechanics, compared to other puzzle games, Gorogoas art is absolutely stunning and the puzzle mechanics unique enough to keep you entertained the whole time.
This game is a pleasure to play and a joy to see. If you love gorgeous design, puzzles, and an amazing storyline then you must try this one. Definitely binge worthy and warm chocolate for the soul.
Some reviewers complain it takes only 2 hours to complete and its not worth $5. Well, the game took 6 years to complete, drawn by hand. You can spend $15 at the movies, for an hour and a half of mediocrity, and $5 at Starbucks for 15 minutes of more of the same. So, no, you cant say this game is overpriced or too short, perhaps the feeling is wanting more because it was so enjoyable.
Great graphics, brilliant flow and best of all brain wracking puzzles. The true genius of this game is its simplicity. Worth every penny…..

We really love this game, both for its artistry and its story. We played the game many times just to better understand the story and we found it complex and interesting. We see a lot of comparison to this and the Room series, which we really dont see the similarities other than the fact they are puzzle games. As an Escape Room owner we kind of find the comparisons between the two games irrelevant unless you are thinking these puzzle games are the same or similar, because they are not. There are different ideologies of what defines a puzzle between the two games. Its perhaps these very differences are what make us enjoy this game so much.
We enjoyed every moment of this game. If we had one negative comment it would be that we were bummed when it was over. Love that the puzzle solving in this game. If youre a fan of The Room series, youll enjoy this. And when youre just about frustrated with not knowing your next move just keep in mind that each picture can have several layers and sometimes they need to be moved around a bit.
Hands-down one of the best iOS puzzle games ever. The music and art create an absolutely gorgeous experience.
We almost gave up before we started. We had no clue what we were expected to do. But a quick jump to You Tube for a quick tutorial and that was it…, we were hooked! We couldnt put it down. So well done and unique. We hope theres more to come!

As a long time comic and puzzle game fan we are ecstatic. The renderings are absolutely georgeous. The melancholy vibe is amazing. Felt a bit sad when it was over but will play again and look for all the visual cues we missed.

Really enjoyed playing this game. It was so enjoyable that we wish it was longer. We’ve played a lot of puzzle games, but this one can truly be considered one of a kind. The graphics and art work were beautiful. If the creator came out with a similar style game, Id enjoy one with a complex and mysterious storyline, or maybe another dreamlike fairytale story. Either way, we look forward to more work like this.
Think outside the box. Things connect in a smooth flow but not the usual way. There are clues shown but they are a matter of interpretation. Once you get it, your brain has that aha moment! Challenging yes, enough where you just have to go on to find the connection. You dont want to give up because the scenes are so original and beautiful. Jason has created one of the best games! We generally dont like to play iPhone games. But we want to find something we hold our attention and take us out of this world when we wish to relax. This game is fascinating intricate full mystery and stimulating to the imagination. It is also enigmatic and stimulates wonder. We have never sought out iPhone apps based on the publisher… But we will be looking for more games by the folks. BRAVO!

If you just finished playing The Rooms and The House of Da Vinci, this game has a very different approach but it has the same fundamental in puzzle solving (the same type of brain twisting fun). You will need to put 3D perspective aside and think in 2D term. The game puts you in 2D comic book environment and you go from there. You rearrange and overlaying the comic book panels until the specific puzzle is solved within the panel and then you move on to the next puzzle. The story telling is unique because they are all pictures and no words. You are able to get the hints of your next task by reading the characters thoughts. Once you understand how it works, the game is actually very good and challenging.
Truly one of our favorite games. Please make more!

The game feels pretty short, but for the few hours we played it was a continuously rewarding experience. We hope the creator makes another game soon- we like the way his mind works.

This is a gorgeous game that makes you think outside the box. Gorogoa doesnt give you instructions on exactly how to play. Part of the game is figuring that out from the beginning of the story. We didnt want the game to end. We’ve played and paid for other puzzle adventure games, like The Room. This one is worth paying for; its also a keeper. Looking forward to more games like this from the developer.
We bought this game around the time it came out and we finished it shortly after. Then not too long after we found myself wanting to play a beautiful game and replayed it. We keep coming back again and again to replay it anytime we need the beautiful artwork in our life again.
This is an amazing, hand-drawn work of art. It can be confusing at times, and often seems to make no sense, but just play. Let go of your logical side and embrace the art. Most of the clues involve paying attention to details in the pictures, while simply trying something new. The game is less game and more experience. But the draw (if youll pardon the pun) is the beauty. Its well worth the time and money.

We bought this game because we found the illustrations so appealing, but it satisfies at every level. There are unusual puzzles with just enough challenge to slow you down, without becoming totally frustrating, and when you solve each one theres a neat little payoff. The storyline was a little opaque, but maybe if we went through it again, Id pick up more connections. Anyway, its excellent!
Absolutely LOVED this game. Vaguely reminiscent of Myst, but the mechanics of the puzzles are totally unique. Beautifully done!

Our partner and we just played through this game and found ourselves consistently impressed. The puzzles are beautiful and so delightful in how they connect to one another. The art work is gorgeous. The mechanics are simple and easy to pick up, yet the puzzles remain sufficiently challenging. Will be looking for similar games in the future.
We were absolutely stunned by this game. Very imaginative, colorful, clever and just plain fun. We finished it in total… Maybe 3-6 hours, and was drooling for more. We are a sucker for these kinds of games and if you have a sequel or some other level of this sort of gameplay coming, we want to know about it. We guess Im just gonna have to play it again.
