We’ve tried a lot of text based rpgs but this is by far the best written. The writer does a very good job and bring the world to life with their words.
Fun game, the free portion is relatively long, gives you a good idea of whether this game is for you or not. Dont regret our purchase.
Classic text based adventure, fun and easy to get into.

We’ve always had a really hard time getting into games like this despite wanting to, but this one really hooked us insanely fast. Its so nice and the ease of use is great. After two hours straight last night, we died, not remembering that we had permadeath on and it didn’t deter us from playing at all (although we did just go to sleep once we realized what we had done, it was 6 in the morning) we have now bought the full game and look forward to dying a lot more due to silly mistakes of ours. Finishing this might take us a while. 11/10 great game. Also great cause we can play on our breaks at work.
Theres a lot of game to play. Its like the original Diablo. You can always ask for more variety, and yet this is an effective mobile game, in that its satisfying to turn on for a few minutes at a time, without being locked in for hours.
Tons of fun. Easy to learn to play. Makes us nostalgic for the old Apple 2 days. Good times.

Its a great RPG to pass the time, we played it for a couple days and we really enjoyed it. There are 0 ads in the game which is amazing. Really in-depth story. When you download youre playing the demo. After completing the first main stage of the game your options are to create a new character and keep replaying it or pay $4.99 for the full game. We recommend playing the full game its really great!
If your on the fence play it a bit and then you can decide if you want to buy it or not.

Very very fun. We tried to write a review that explains how good this game is but we cant. Theres so much depth to this game that we had no problem spending the 4 bucks after completing the first story quest.
Played the first part thats free and got hooked. Bout the rest of the game. Very reasonably priced for what you get. We’ve only recently gotten into role playing games and this is well done.
A great time buried in this gem. It’s easy to get sucked into to the story and helps to get through a few grindy spots.
Amazing game simple and easy and free.
We’ve been playing for like a week so far and love the mechanics of the game. All the random events, the skill trees, and the basic function of crating and upgrading gear. Simple and fantastic game for anyone looking for an RPG rogue like thats actually good. 9.5/10 only because you do need to purchase full game for 5$ to enjoy the full game but thats it and its well worth it!
A Rouge like with character creation & Backstory, help support your town while slowly uncovering a greater story.

Its a simple RPG and its fun.
Very simple barebones rpg. Reminds us of an early IBM PC game. Which is always a good thing. We dont like taking care of the mercenaries. This mechanic just eats up all your hard earned gold. Loses a star for that boring and expensive in game mechanic.

We have tried hundreds of app games, and always end up deleting them from boredom or disappointment. This is a true blue old school rpg. As someone who runs D&D all the time but never gets to play, this is the exact kindof game we were hoping for to help quench our thirst for solo adventure! Gameplay is immaculate, story is in depth, combat is easy to learn, but challenging. Love it.

Tough game but fun and rewarding to play.
This game is one of if not BEST mobile game we have on our phone the devs make this game rich in lore (and sometimes rage) but this game is a steal if you are bored and have no Wi-Fi, but sadly there is a con to this game for iPhone users, on android the game is a full version with ads but you can buy for 5$ which is not bad but in iPhone you pay 6$ to get free wages and no ads. AND full version so its a steal but we wish it was like android tho.
So much fun! Brings us back to old games like bards tale and the like. And beyond just fight after fight there are stories to uncover and an interesting crafting mechanic. Top notch!
Very old school D&D, very easy to understand and just challenging enough you do throw your phone lol.
Its worth the $3.99 +tax we paid for the full version, and it is NOT play to win. Ill grant you, buying a $7.99 +tax for one of the packages may make it easier, but its not a necessity compared to several other similar games. The game has several difficulty levels for re-playability. Its more about resource management rather than what we would consider a true strategy. Our only gripe is the amount of gold received vs. The cost of supplies and skills. Definitely worth giving it a shot.

We used to have this game on our old phone. Back then the game had adds but released the full game. We wish we had a choice between the add filled version and the add free version. We really used to love this game.
Only can play for a bit then you have to purchase the full game. Not worth it.
Super bad UI impossible to figure out. Cannot get understand how to play it after a month break. Very bad and frustrating. No in-game help. No tips how to attack. Only tip is long press to attack unplayable garbage.
We started playing RPG games in the 1970s and have played pretty much every major rpg game out there over the past 45 years. Our dungeons plotted like this game does. We want both action and puzzles. On the other hand, we are no longer able to play using a controller. We dont always want to play with others. We really dont want to be goaded into pay for play. Grim Quest is fun, quiet and would unquestionably be a great choice to introduce new or younger players into the realm of video rpg. Finally, its easy on your wallet and offers a lot of play time!
This game is challenging and a great thing to kill some free time. Love the game and look forward to updates and other surprises.

This game is so much fun, if you get to the point of beating the demo and are questioning weather or not to pay the 3 dollars for the full thing we cannot possibly stress enough how worth it, it is. The detail and excitement in this game are absolutley incredible and we would absolutely recommend this to anyone who likes D&D or fantasy games in general.

We’ve played this game on PC and when we found out it was available for mobile we jumped to get it. Its simple enough you can play on a break at work or waiting in a line without getting lost or frustrated, nice effective gameplay loop, and the design of the UI is nice with a unique art style. You can play the first part of the game for free and if you enjoy it support the dev by buying the full game.
We woke up at 4:30am to play this game before work. And every break you can bet Im in the dungeons grinding it out.
Doesnt waste time and resources on graphics but concentrated on story and gameplay.
Not a bad story and a good map of mystery.
