Everything about this game was so well done! The story held our interest from start to finish, and of course, the graphics were outstanding. HO games were varied, and we especially loved the "layered" puzzles ( similar to those in Fates Carnival ).
This game has it all!!! Do yourself a favor and buy it! You won’t regret!!! Please give us more games like this one Big Fish!!!
Love the Grim Tales series! Elephant did a good job with this one! The paranormal is afoot in this one! No fairy tale at all! You have been accused of murder – but who really did it and why? Morphing objects in every scene plus stained glass pieces to find. Labeled inventory and transporting indicated map, custom difficulty available.
Big Fish has been on a roll lately — great games. Big Fish is finally coming out of their hit and miss releases of games. This game is AWESOME! Elephant Games never disappoint us. Super graphics, engaging game play, good mix of puzzles and hidden object sections, great story, and small load times — always a pleasure seeing that. Keep rolling on Big Fish and Elephant Games, and we’ll keep on buying.
Elephant Games is a great company, and we love their Grim Tales series! In Final Suspect, you are Anna Gray, famous detective. You awaken with amnesia to find that a man, Howard Kelly, was stabbed to death with your pruning shears last night. The police suspect you did it! Now you must Time Travel to see who really killed Howard. Your niece, Jackie, is beside you to help you. As you collect Clues, they go into your Detection File along with an explanation. Then you make your deductions. The Hidden Objects are mostly shadows which must be filled in. For most, there are two items per shadow. You get Morphing Objects and other Collectibles. As usual, the game flows smoothly, with excellent Hint, Skip, Info, and Transporting Map functions. Colors are bright and items are clearly defined. No complaints; just praise for another fascinating , clever game in the Grim Tales series!
This is this kind of game that made us fall in love with Elephant Studio games! We absolutely cannot get enough of the end of chapter puzzles that they put in some of their games, and we literally cheered out loud when we saw this was one of them. Brilliant and unique!
We love Elephant Games. They are by far above the rest as far as graphics, and this game is just gorgeous. The Big Fish games coming out have been sub par lately. Thanks for coming out with this one!! P.S. The second location was not gorgeous. In fact it was down right disgusting.
This is the best BF game we’ve played in a long time. Sensible puzzles and great graphics. A map that works well. And a mystery to solve, too. Good fun.
All these games in the same family are great. This one doesn’t disappoint.
This was a very good game, but it’s not going to get 5 stars! There were not that many locations but then you time-travel, so it’s fun. You have a journal, regularly updated objectives, a teleport map, customizable difficulty, labeled inventory and plus items. There are morphing objects and collectibles, which to us are a distraction! Loading was instantaneous between locations, and certain locations had side-to-side areas as well. The HO scenes were not overly numerous and they were varied (word lists, matching pairs, silhouettes, putting objects back into place, collecting shards for an object to unlock, etc.) There was a wide range of puzzles/ mini-games. However, some were glitchy, especially the interactive ones. Each location had a lot to do, and the story was easy to follow. The graphics were good, but the cut-scenes not all that impressive. We took a star off because we had the game freeze up, and also due to length. Even with bonus adventure, we felt that it was a bit short. However, it flowed well and we enjoyed it! And thank you Elephant, you only gave us a toy mouse to deal with for a change! Dream Team, we are polling you so please respond in your next game! We are specifically asking Opinion, Dracyy, KimTwilight, Sunshine Susie: do you feel we are not getting enough HOAG games from BigFish? Also, don’t you feel we should be getting trials and not have to buy it straight away? We feel we need more "Blockbusters", such as a new Empress, more from BOOLAT (Dreampath) and Sunward Games! These developers actually outdo EIPIX and Mad Head with their graphics! Anyway, happy gaming! Lynxie sends to all!
Do not like that had to give a review to continue playing. It’s annoying. The game seems to be okay. Have played other games by this company and they were good, storyline and effects.
All the important things – map, characters, graphics, etc. U expect, but we are writing this because we’re thoroughly enjoying myself! We’ll come back later, but, for now, just have fun!
Fast game, few places to go or do. But then sometimes, you just want them to end because they’re so tedious – this is one of those games.
We’re sure this could be a fun game but EVERYTHING is so small on the iPhone version, we end up hitting Hint and Skip in every scene. We’re just gonna delete it.
Our original *review is posted below the update. We’re really upset that we’re halfway through and we’re suddenly unable to play anymore on our iPad. (W latest updates) we started the app, it booted up to the continue to game screen and then – POOF! – black screen. As a long time gamer, we know every trick to try before having to reload the game….. That’s the last resort and what we’re facing – so we’re not happy about that, and we hope it doesn’t happen again. ****************** – although- the "puzzles within puzzle" are so awesome, more are needed, because it’s not only challenging but you spend a long time solving, so it adds much more value to the game. Hard to play some parts on iphone. Nice graphics. Games range from too easy to confusing with inadequate directions. But the PRICE?? We think we are seeing the impact of Big Fish being taken over by a big company. Greed.
Sadly we wasn’t entertained by this one. It was difficult to follow and there was no logic behind it. We did not enjoy it one bit. The bonus game was a small bit more sensible and nicer than the actual game.
We’ve downloaded it twice, bought the paid version and restarted our phone. It is not working (not responding to the touch screen). How do we get a refund?
In response to the reviewer who wonders if he played the same game played by the four and five star reviewers. I, too, found this game to be tedious, so tedious, in fact, that we deleted it without finishing. We play these type of games often. Our practice, going forward, will be to first check the "critical" reviews and to rely only on these, and other reviews which resonate as legitimate. Just an update. We’re sure many of you have seen non Big Fish options discussed in these reviews. The Five BN "Lost Lands" is good, as are some of the directly released Artifex Mundi, like "Eventide Slavic Fables". These games are identical in format to the usual BF fare, but better and more fairly priced. We just finished some really good games that are similar and worth checking out. The developer is Lone Wolf Games and we just played "Blackthorne Castle". It was a nice change. Very similar to the Fire Maple games. It just took playing a decent game to really drive home how lousy this, and many other recent BF series games have become. We’ve benefitted from other people making suggestions so hopefully these might be helpful to someone.
Very unhappy with game. Waste of money. Wish we had not purchased. Already deleted from our computer.
The first time we played it it wouldn’t let us finish the main game. This time we were on a plane and managed to play the main part but cannot finish the bonus game. The story was ok but not as good as the other Grim Tales games. If you buy it however, be prepared to play the whole thing in one sitting though.
Literally spent 6.99 on this game and it doesnt work?
We paid for the full game and it wont play we would like our money back.

We’re always puzzled when our experience with a game differs so much from others’, but it appears to have happened. We thought this game was awful! The puzzles weren’t intuitive and the game didn’t flow like so many good games of this type. We prefer when there is a logical process rather than just trying to remember that the door by the fountain needs a skull, or something similar. So we thought the game rather sucked. Additionally, we continue to ponder why there are none of these games designed for men. As a longtime game player, we know there were few games with women for so long – but is the response to now offer no games with male leads? Big Fish, games for guys please.
Why isn’t this game a touch? We even did Pay. We want a refund.
