Looking for more information? Read a comprehensive review of Grim Tales: The Time Traveler below:

Have loved this series since the first game and nothing has changed. Great puzzles, creepy characters. This one is more of the same.

It’s about time Big Fish gave us a NEW game! First we only get one game per week, then we are offered at a reduced price some OLD games! What gives?! Anyway, this is a lot of fun so far, and has REAL people in it! It is kind of short, but that’s OK since the Salt Princess was waaaaay too long! BORING! Our recommendation is, BUY IT!

So far, seems to be an interesting game. Morphings ang collectibles. No glitches. Thats good in itself.

We love this game. Great graphic story line. We have one problem we already paid for this game and you are charging us again! It gets frustrating because we bought a couple of your games and we paid for and then you want to charge loyal customers! When we press already purchase it says not purchased ! When we did pay for the game fix problem! Truly ripping us off not cool! Especially for the prices you charge.

Plot is better than average. Standard find the killer. Mini games are challenging. Game flow is logical. Voice acting is good. No glitches.

This is a fun game. No monsters so far which we like. Graphics quite good. This game is a plus.

Getting our entertainment’s worth from this one.

We will always love this series…. And the game was actually fun to play! Double bonus.

Good game::: whats up ?.. Where are the new games???? If we could find others than big fish we would change.

This is the first game we’ve finished all at once in at least 18 months. Considering we used to buy EVERY Big Fish game as they were released when we first started playing these type of games, that says a lot. Storyline is interesting, graphics are comparable to others in the series as is most other attributes.

Every time that we try to download this game it has like boxes around the other boxes and we cant play it….. Please help thx.

So far we are Loving this game! Good storyline, interactive tasks to complete, teleporting map that actually transports, unlike the previous game. Morphing and collectibles to find. Beautiful, crisp and clear graphics. Of course, we have our trusty friend Richard. Puzzles are unique, some simplistic, while others are a little more challenging. So Happy to be playing a real hidden object/adventure mystery game. Hope we will see more on a regular basis. Highly recommend buying this game! Happy Gaming Everyone!!! KdBoots *Okay Big Fish Lets Get on With the New Releases! How could the company who previously owned Big Fish Release a New Game everyday and since you have purchased the company we are Very Lucky to get 2 games a week? The changes have NOT been for the better. We used to get New games on particular days and now its just whenever you feel like it – (Time Wise & Day Wise) Please start taking better care of your Loyal customer base. Hope to see some Big Changes Soon!!!!!

Another great installment of the Grim Tales series! Even though Elephant is known for their monotonous gameplay of: find amulet, insert amulet, receive another amulet, repeat ad nauseum, somehow with this series they up their game and make the gameplay interesting. The hos are quite varied. Mini games are unique, and range from easy to medium in difficulty. The length of the game is about average. Both the main game and bonus have interesting stories. This was a really fun game to play!! The cons: we really dislike having tasks or objectives come up on the screen, and as how theres an option In the difficulty settings to do away with this irritation, they should go away but it never ever works! This is not just a fault of Elephant, but all the developers, and it drives us crazy. Especially so in this game, as the completed task and new task take forever to leave your screen, and you cant hurry them along or do anything in the scene until they finish. Ugh. Also, Richard is one of our favorite characters of all time, however theyve changed the actor playing him! Instead of the deep, spooky, echoing voice, theyve replaced it with what sounds like a whiny teenage boy! No emotion at all in his voice, he just reads the script and thats it. Deducted a star for the annoying task messages and for the abomination of replacing Richard. Otherwise great game!

We like the story and the collectibles but the blurry cut scenes are annoying.

So we guess were down to one game a week now. No new game this morning. Very disappointing. Maybe with a stroke of luck new mngt will take over at big fish and get things running smoothly again. Maybe our review will actually be posted this time to which seems hit and miss lately. Come on big fish! Same as the rest of this series with a few improvements. Id like to point out that changing Richards voice, Annas dad, was a welcome change not bad like another reviewer said. Before it was long and drawn out and just painful to listen to so thanks for speeding that up! Same usual perks as we expect with teleporting map etc. Guess Im a little bored with this series. The first 3 were incredible and put elephant games at the top of our list but from that point they got shorter and shorter and less interesting to us. Grim tales: the legacy was the bomb, long and captivating story. We like more adventure and not a puzzle every 3steps but thats a personal thing. Im still considering buying. Maybe it gets better? Big fish has been increasingly failing us with less new releases and sales on games weve already played so if theres no new release then maybe Ill buy it, not sure. FYI.. Absolutist just released a new one. Its different, ok.

Big Fish remembered Anna had a husband and featured him in this game. We have been following this series since that game was released. Love seeing some of the characters from the other games in this most recent one. Good job!

We love this game… We know its probably redundant for some but we would love another sequel of this…. We have played this one like over 20x now…. Will there be a sequel? Wingnut8371.

We gave 4/5 stars because the gems were a bit confusing, & we felt the game didnt give enough of an explanation on how we were supposed to solve it. The forest & the compass game, for example – we found the patterns fine, but it didnt tell us a thing about which one to choose. All 3 choices were lit up! Thats the only issue we had – the rest of the game was great! Heavy on the Games, & we liked the HOGs a lot. Its like a fresh drink after being thirsty for a long time waiting for one between games!

We enjoyed this game and would have given it a 5 star rating except for the skull puzzle not working. The colored squares could not be moved, and was very frustrating. Dont like to have to skip a puzzle without attempting to solve..

Omg! Change the creepy dads voice back!! Its just not right.

The is another great title in this series. We have run into a brand new frustration playing on our IPhone X. Now that theres a home indicator on the screen itself instead of a home button on the phone, its very difficult to select items from the inventory without accidentally swiping the home indicator. Apple has outsmarted themselves. The inventory on all these games needs to be moved to side or top of screen.

This game keeps cutting us off and telling us we have finished the game. We have not finished it and we dont appreciate getting kicked off! Can you please fix this!

Pros: Some fun puzzles, custom levels, nice graphics, easy but enjoyable HOs, plenty of things to find (collectibles, morphing objects, puzzle pieces), no issues on our iPad Air 2. Cons: we have no idea what the story line is since we skip over the glowing skull guy which is just a way to waste time before giving us what we need; we skipped several puzzles which are blatant time wasters; there really is no bonus story – the main game suddenly cuts off and then picks up again as the ‘bonus’ portion.

Only 3 stars because: 1. Couldnt return to locate missed puzzle pieces when playing the Bonus game. 2. Interactive map does not show collectible objects to be found. 3. Refresh rate needs to be faster. 4. When playing, there is no button showing that a collectible object is to be found on the current screen. 5. Game is short, even including the Bonus chapter. 6. The skulls dialogue is childish at times. Not scary as in the past. Otherwise, there are no glitches. We enjoyed playing the HOPs.

Nice graphics but they don’t make up for the poorly thought-out mini games that are nearly impossible to figure (really bad instructions) and that we had to skip constantly, wasting the $3.99 we shelled out for this. Very short game. No bonus game, either. Not worth the money, imo.

One of the games (where you have a limited number of moves to clear the board) is set up to be unwinable. Not cool.

We’ve seen this before with BF games, there are image rectangles floating all around the screen after the cut-away videos. When tapped, the rectangles enlarge to show a very washed out image, without details. We’ve removed/reinstalled the game, but that didnt fix it. Using an iPad 7. Thanks for any help.

We played the short demo, and refuse to pay $6.99 to unlock the game that is a carbon copy of all the other games. Woman drives down the road; she crashes; she has to perform a ritual; then, go here, solve a puzzle, get an item, go back and use the item, find another lock to get pieces for, find the right tool for each puzzle, get the ghost to give you something, unlock the door, play the HOP, find the morphing objects, find the puzzle pieces, ad infinitum. Blah, blah, blah. None of these games are worth $6.99 EVER. We’ve been playing computer games since 1985, some that took days to finish instead of a few hours. The games have become so clich!

We enjoyed the game. It was a tad on the easy side, but that is a relief from all of those brain busters. But for $6.99 the game was way too short, even with the bonus chapter. We would only buy it on sale, knowing the length.

This was yet another installment in the series where you played from the perspective of the paranormal investigator Anna Gray, and truthfully there was nothing which allowed it to stand out from the rest of the games in this series. We bought it because we were bored. There was no journal to record storyline progression, although objectives were regularly updated. The storyline was redundant, the graphics lacked visual acuity and there were no innovative elements from Elephant Games in either the HO scenes or the puzzles/games, which were either simplistic or of the boring rotational genre. You were given the usual bells and whistles: customizable settings, a teleport map, complex items, and labeled inventory. Collectibles included morphing objects, character figurines and puzzle pieces. Once again, your father Richard (in the form of a talking skull) joined you on the adventure and offered quite a few comical remarks along the way. He was the highlight of the game! This developer gave us quite a plethora of tasks to accomplish at each location. Gameplay was mainly linear but the game did flow well and was basically entertaining to play. The game was quite short inclusive of the bonus adventure. Truthfully this game didnt exhibit any creative or quirky aspects which we have seen in past games from Elephant. It was an average game, which was creepy, and comical and entertaining all at the same time. Our true rating will be 3.5 stars. Even when their games are not fantastic, we still find their gameplay addictive. It really is a conundrum! At least it was better than the last offering from BigFish (Dark Parables), which was a disaster. Can they give us more than one game per week? We have had enough of their endless sales on games we all have already purchased! Note to Joanie: There was a bonus adventure, and the developer even notates it once you finish the main game. The mini-games werent illogical or unsolvable, but they were all devoid of creativity and basically all fell under the genre of boring rotational junk! UPDATE: Once again here we are on a Monday with no new game released in this genre from BigFish. Instead they offered a sale on an older Dark Parables game! Reviewers, if you want more than one game per week, we suggest you speak up! We are quite sure that other players are just as annoyed and ticked off.

This is our favorite series. Unfortunately, it is appallingly brief, with almost no story or goals. They also changed the voice actor for Richard, exchanging a deep, spooky voice with an almost high-pitched speaker. Richard is no longer edgy, but accommodating and sweet- an big loss for the series. Anyone know why, even though there are 390 reviews, we can only read 10 of them? We can see our favorite reviewers anymore. Also, anyone know how we can filter out the annoying gambling or stellar games, such as Cant Be Die, when trying to find HOGs by release date? Anyone know why the, a new game every day company doesnt even have a new game twice a week anymore? It used to be related to updating their software, but thats been a year now. Come on! We think its time for us to break our HOG habit…

This the worst game we ever played. All the highlighted items are blocked, which is showing completely white out, how can you see what you are doing. The guide absolutely does not help you because everything is blocked out and and does not relate to the story.

Underneath the good graphics and animations, this is basically a hidden object game. Figuring out where these objects go after you collect them is easy… No… Id say obvious. The only challenging part of the game is the mini games/puzzles and some of those dont make sense or are just boring. This game kept us entertained for a little bit but just got repetitive and boring after a while. Good time passer at the airport and on a flight but we wont be sealing out additional titles from this developer… At least in this series.

Not worth anyones money. Why are these games so, so short and non-sensical. In the past we have bought so many games and now we cant find any of them. Why? We would really like to know why. Games in the past were better than what they are now. We know times are hard for everyone but Developers some people are on a tight fixed income and this is their only enjoyment in life. Have a heart and we hope this shows up with the rest of the reviews. It wont allow us to rate only 1 star!

We expected a longer game … Quite disappointed with the purchase.

Im trying to play this game on our iPAD but the graphics seem to be all messed up. Scenes are not loading correctly. They are stacked all over the screen Willy Billy. An ideas why this is happening? We just updated to the latest upgrade.

Downloaded twice and the graphics are all skewed in the gameplay. The open cut scene plays fine then it goes to white boxes with partial images. Glad we didnt purchase the full game.

We think theres something wrong. All the areas are squared like ones that move or action or buttons. Ill try to remove and reload.

We havent been able to play this game because the graphics are either whited out or too bright. We liked the description of the game and really want to play it. We wish that the bugs could be fixed. We have deleted the game and reinstalled it to have the same problem occur.

Needs updated to work with iOS.

If we could give this no stars, we would. Downloaded and paid for this game but it will not play on our iPad. Dont waste your money. This is not the first game we have paid for and this has happened. Actually, it does play but the graphics are so corrupted, it is unplayable.

This game its not showing the object we have to do. It has some bright lights that does not make you see what you have to grab or touch.

The game is messed up, something wrong with the graphics. Tried re loading game, but still messed up.

The title says it. Completely unplayable with horrible video glitches.

Can someone please tell us why Big Fish games is still selling games that are not compatible with the current iOS versions? And why is it okay with Apple that they continue to make money on games that no one is willing to update so that they are compatible? If Apple is not willing to continue to support the older games and the game owners arent willing to update their games then they shouldnt be allowed to continue to make money from them.

We started the game only to get a screen all broken up with thick white lines and white squares showing the interactive objects. When we tap on an object the pop up is all washed out and almost completely white making it totally impossible to know what is there. Completely unplayable. Was rather disappointed because we’ve played many Big Fish games without a problem.

We used to look forward to finding the newest BF game each week and couldnt wait to download it, even at $6.99. Now Im disappointed every week that there is no new game, so we end up downloading ones we’ve already played many times. Im also tired of monsters and killers and long for a game that is illuminating rather than depressing.
