A Glimpse into Halloween Stories 2・Black Book
Halloween night has always been the favorite holiday in Jen’s family. However, this time the girl stayed at home just with her younger sister. When the latter asked Jen to read a scary story from the Black book for her, she couldn’t say no. The consequences were immediate – a dark spirit that came who knows from where kidnapped Jen’s sister, and the reality distorted into a true nightmare!
Now Jen has a lot of things to do: she has to find that creepy spirit, save her younger sister and avoid the traps of the horrible house. On the upside, the girl still has the Black book, and it even provides some sort of help to her. Can Jen go through all trials of the Halloween night with dignity? Will she fall into awful traps of the house that has changed? Will she manage to rescue her sister?

Really liked this one, different story line, great graphics and longer than the more recent. Its been a while since we actually looked forward to game play, rather than just passing the time away… Thank you!
We just wanted to state we just replayed this game 3 months later as we are sick of fantasy and dragons and still really enjoyed the game. We dont understand the bad rating, just try the trial. As we love Halloween, Im rating this for our taste. Morphing objects, collectibles, and fragments throughout. Loved the scenery and details. Yes a bit short but there are only a few offering us games. Hidden object and games were entertaining. If that helps. We had no technical issues also.
In general, not bad. Kind of got bored at the end. Brief in length as usual. It froze once and had to reset it.
We dont know why everyone is not happy with this game. Its not as bad as the reviews are saying. Im an avid fan of all the elephant games, with that being said, the story lines are good and the graphics and the puzzles are better then most of the games out there. We guess it depends on what you make of the game. We just wish that the developers would put more games out here for us to play instead of waiting. There are so many on the website that arent available in our region that look really good. And Id like to see a price cut once in a while instead having to wait a year. Thanks for your continued development of these games. Our granddaughter and we love them.
Very fun game. Lots of thrills and chills for Halloween. However we are about halfway through and so far the game has frozen up on us 5 times at various places. We are playing on an iPad Pro 11 with 256 GB of memory, with less than half used, and IOS 13.1.1. The symptoms are that screen greys out and is then completely unresponsive to any touch. We have to close down the game and restart it. It always starts where we left off with no loss of gameplay and works fine for 20 minutes or so and then does it again. We would give it 4 stars if not for the technical issues.
If you enjoy gloomy weird games with lots of jump-scares, then this horror-themed game might suit you perfectly. The graphics were very dull, the storyline was banal, and the overall gameplay was quite insipid and boring. The only unique element was a black book to help you overcome obstacles. The HO scenes had some variety, but nothing truly innovative or exciting. We detested the selection of puzzles/games; they were either extremely simplistic or of the mind-numbing and often repeated boring rotational genre. This game was very short, inclusive of the bonus adventure. However, the quality assurance was en pointe. We didnt experience any glitches. Truthfully we would tell other gamers not to waste $7 on this game. Let Elephant release a game in a series we all enjoy: Haunted Hotel, Grim Tales, Paranormal Files, Detectives United, or Mystery Trackers. This developer also needs to add innovative gadgets in their games and increase the size of their games to well over a gig for the players to rationalize paying such a high price. We should have played the trial and quit! Our true rating will be two stars and thats being extremely generous! Happy gaming to all. Update: Domini released another installment in Enchanted Kingdom, because there were issues with Halloween Chronicles. Halloween Chronicles should be released on October 29, in time for Halloween, if all goes as planned. They need to improve their programming and quality assurance and are working hard to do so. Sorry we dont think any of your games are worth $6.99. We are sue if you drop the price you would sell more and make a better profit.. Just our opinion.
