What Makes Hangman. Stand Out
Hangman is based on the popular word guessing game by the same name. The player guesses letters in order to uncover the hidden word. But be careful, you only have a few guesses before you're hanged!
Unlike other versions of Hangman, this one gives the player a few more guesses by building up the gallows as the player guesses, instead of having them pre-built.
Two player mode allows you and a friend to play. One person enters a word and the other tries to guess it.
Purchase more wordlists to play with from within the app.
Define a word if you don't understand it, and help yourself or your children learn new words.
Keep track of your wins / losses, and how many games you've played and earn achievements with Game Center.
Hangman includes small, unobtrusive ads to help keep it free. Advertising can be removed for a small one-time fee. Even if you remove Hangman and download it again in the future you can restore your purchases for no extra cost and remove advertising again.
Hangman will connect to the internet once, each time the game is run, in order to download it's advert, which is very very small and will take less than a second. Hangman will also need internet access if you choose to "define a word". Defining words is entirely optional.

Great game, love playing itprobably should change the game logo though.
We love it.its because in the game NO ADS.
It all really cool you get to choose what kind of words you want but the two player its confusing us and our friend wanted to play two player on two different devices but when you hit two player you have to type a word for you friend to guess which we did and then your friend has to do it on your phone so we cant play two player enless we share our screen on FaceTime and she guess the letters just pls fix the two player pls thank you.
We love this game, and the fact that we could just come up with something and pass our phone around to our friends to guess the word(s) is amazing! Love this game.
It still has Palestine as a country like it is LETSS GOOOOO.
We downloaded this game on our 10 year olds phone and she love it and she also loves how after you get however many in a row it says Im awesome on the button and it encourages her to keep trying and working through the toughest challenges.

The words can be a bit hard even your on easy mode, but other than that, Its perfect.
We have played this game with our brother for about half an hour now. Is the quality great? No, not in the least. Would the game be fun on our own? No, Id rather slather ourselves in butter. But the look on our brothers face when we typed in random letters? Priceless. 11/10, our crops are watered and our skin is clear.
This game is was great for rainy days and things like that.
Works well and does what it says it does. Id suggest that the people complaining here about an incorrect word definition or the logo or the words used would complain about something regardless of the relevance. Its a free game, it works and you can get rid of the ads for a buck.
This hangman game is really good in our opinion. It's one of those game that you should play with your friend when you are bored in a car. Even if you are not in that case it's just a good game to play. We understand that some people don't like hangman in general but it has very good quality! Good Game.
This game is so awesome even our dad plays with us it is hard when we do it by ourselves thought but otherwise we love it it is so amazing.

It is very fun and challenging and addictive we would recommend to try it with friends.
We love this game tho the words are very hard to guess without many hints. We will say… To people being overly sensitive about the logo. Read up on it, hangman, is an ooooooold game and you need to grow up. Death, hanging, suicide are all real and pretending like they are not isn't going to protect anybody from seeing or experiencing it. Grow up or get off the internet.
We love this game. It is hard but we really do like this. We're not just saying that. We do like it.

The game is super fun! We play by ourselves and our family all the time and we all love it! Especially when we are bored and its super stimulating. There is just one concern we have, and that is the glitch that keeps kicking us out of the game in the middle of playing. It refreshes the app and resets our progress when we go back in. Besides that, this game is perfect.
We teach esl and it would be great to be able to create our own word lists instead of having to enter the words by hand. In Heads Up, you can buy blank decks for 99 cents and we would love the same option.
The J doesnt work. We were humming along, enjoying a perfect score until we needed to spell jersey. Not possible without a J. Hope it gets fixed soon because the game was fun until then.
Fun addicting game but when ever somebody writes a really long sentence it doesnt read all of it.
This is a great app but just a heads up on the rating system, "easy" is easy because of how many guesses you get. Not because of the difficulty of the word. We've been playing easy and haven't lost but some words are really hard to get, technetium.
Certain phrases end up being too long for the screen to handle (on the 6+). We play in portrait mode. Recommend stacking the words/phrases instead of putting it all on one line. Otherwise it's a great game. We like the amount of guesses you get per level.
Wow, we can't believe im reading several reviews about the icon. Before u comment about the "icon" and ur suicidal depression, make sure u research first. This is an old game! This was invented even before apps & gadgets were born. Stupidity at its best. How ironic that this got more bashing about suicide than the book "us before u". It was made into movie when it was clearly about letting people suicide & nobody even batted an eye.
Im only writing a review about whats bad so you can look at other reviews for whats good. Anyways, we dont like how if you click easy mode it gives you hard words… We also dont like the noises it makes if we click it to us its annoying. Its also pretty boring you dont win anything like coins like in most games. There is better hangmans, back to the coins. If they added coins to when you win you could use it on maybe a subject for the word like if you get furniture as the subject then you have to try and guess a pice of furniture. We also think you could upgrade the stand that you hang from and make it cooler and maybe you could add things at the bottom of it and if you lose you would fall on/in the thing. Or if you won you would jump down and be safe. Its a good and bad app. These are reasons we Dont recommend having it so if you think its good and you thing our review is bad, read what we just said. It will only be 2 stars for our complaints and if there were no positives.

We didnt even know that the game gave such hard words but overall good.
The design is nice and it works well, but the difficulty has some problems. We changed the difficulty expecting more difficult WORDS, but that wasnt the case. It only draws more of the stick man for more difficulty. We win every single time and this needs to be fixed because Im getting very bored.
Severely slows down phone when switching to app view mode to delete the session. Needs a fix.
This game brought back the memories of when our family and we always used to play this game. However, it's a little boring.
It's a okay game but it would be helpful if they gave you a hint every time, so your not guessing out of a million (exaggerated) words.
Its ok, but it crashes after 3 or 4 words. Very frustrating.
We rate two stars because we want to award them for their hard works of searching up for the hardest words ever in the world. They always surprise us with some words we will never think of, like how we got Mustard and Cobalt for color category, amazing, thanks a lot.
When we saw our sister playing this game it looked fun and easy. We downloaded it to play with our daughter, of course u tested the single player first. We clicked the easy level but it gave us hard words for example, courtesies, Subroutine, hyphenating etc… We just thought that was really hard for the easy mode. Our daughter likes winning (everybody does we think) but we cant even guess the words. We are not the smartest but Im Just trying to say maybe make your easy level actually easy. Thank you.
We cant tell if the developers have a political agenda. The words seem very politically oriented.
The words are way to hard. Not saying that easy is good but these are words Ive never heard of. Our rule is that we can have a game each month and this was NOT worth it and we wish we could change the game. Please dont get this game it isnt worth it.
We are enjoying this game, but a couple words have appeared that the app's dictionary nor Merriam-Webster could define. When we reached out to support they were very frustrated as if it were such an inconvenience and stupid question to ask. The second time they reiterated that they had given us an answer regarding a similar word and perhaps we should've known. We were also told to try an easier level or less challenging word list. We suggested if they offer a definition to their words they should be sure all their words are defined.
Kinda fun. Some phrases/titles are so long they don't fit but you still have to guess letters.
This is rated (9+) and we think that the logo should be changed because of it. It's really misleading for some people and people who are 9+ shouldn't be able to be introduced to that this young. Did you guys just sit at a table and be like "okay, we need a design." "How about a nuse(shut up we're typing fast)! That's kid-friendly!" "Yeah, obviously!" Really think you should change it.
It needs more hints. Even in easy mode it was pretty hard because it didn't give any hints. But we're kind of glad for the detailed hangman because it's gives you more chances to figure out what the word is.
Words are way too random. You can choose categories but there is no sense as to where you're going, even on easy mode. For example, category "all words" and you get a 10 letter word…where do you start with no hints.
The score keeping function (three in a row, five in a row, etc) stopped working.
We dont know how to invite friends there is no option.
We thought that this game would be awesome but it is false advertising you can not play it with your friends.
We went to a lot of work to install. Pressed 2 player game. We get this tiny screen where we type in our own word for our opponent to guess. So, then we find nowhere to invite the other player!! Goodness! Deleted it immediately. Waste of our time.
It seems like the app hasnt been updated in 4 years? Shame it was a fun game.
