Welcome to the world of Fugu pet care! You’ll be given care of your very own Fugu egg, and you won’t have to wait long before you’ll be welcoming your own little bundle of joy. Fugu are very affectionate creatures, but in order to be a responsible pet owner, you’ll need to take care of a few simple tasks. Feed your Fugu fruit from the trees to keep its belly full. Keep its living space clean by throwing trash out. Give it a pet now and then. If you can do these few things, you’ll slowly earn the trust and love of your Fugu!
There are tons of ways to play with your fugu — try tapping, shaking your phone, or throwing a piece of fruit for starters! As you continue playing, you’ll find acorns and star coins. Use these at the local shop to pick up new decorations and toys to make your Fugu even happier! Some of those toys even let you play with your Fugu in new ways. You can also pick up special snacks and other items that help you take better care of your pet. Keep your eyes peeled for special stickers featuring your very own adorable Fugu. Try to collect them all!
Hatch Your Pet: Tap the egg to help your Fugu enter the world! What color will yours be? What will you name it?

When you took over Hatch you said that old users could continue to use the app uninterrupted by ads and that subscription was optional and that our experience would remain unchanged. For new users of the Hatch app there would be ads if the users were not subscribed to Gameclub and that they would need to get subscription to remove the ads. This was NOT supposed to affect old users who have been using the app for years. However, your latest update has forced ads in our app even though we have been a customer of the Hatch app for 6 years. We continue playing the app for nostalgia sake and NOT because Gameclub took over. All we want to do is feed our pet uninterrupted as we have been for the past 6 years. Do the right thing and remove the ads from the apps of users that downloaded the app prior to your acquisition.
This was better off as an abandoned app then with the damage done by Game Club. The graphics dont line up, they spam you if you give your real email, and the whole thing feels like it is worse every update. Dont bother. Ill be sad to finally delete our fugu, but he doesnt deserve this treatment.
Waste of our time just charge a flat rate or offer a demo.
So, we played this game for 20 minutes and it was awesome. Then it said we had to subscribe. So, on other games, when it says to subscribe there is usually an X button, but here it said: Oops, your trial has expired. Sign up to GameClub to continue playing. If you cant pay money for games, this game will only last you a mere 20 minutes.
We don’t wanna pay constantly just to play this game. We love it so much, but we always end up deleting the app when the limit is reached. It’s very disheartening…
We heard that if you get the Pygmy plush from the workshop you can play Ooga jump U have waited for days but we never got it the Pygmy plushie so how long do we have to wait.
We got this game probably over 12 years ago and we just re-download it. Amazing idea! We are still in love with everything about this game. Its so cute! We were just wondering how Im supposed to walk our fugu!!!
We really like this game. To bad havent been any updates after all these years. We still take care of our fugu. For some reason he doesnt have bowel movements anymore to clean nor does he cry when hungry or if we dont check on him for a while. The sticker sms option also doesnt work like it used to. And the steps option leading to a white box gift doesnt work either. Please update this lovely game!
Its pretty much the exact same it used to be (before game club took over) except now you cant use stickers like you used to.
We played hatch a few years ago, we upgraded our phone and we lost it, we were very happy when we saw the app in the store again, however we were very disappointing when we realized the ability to share stickers via SMS was removed, as well as the one when you send a fruit flying up, fugu goes up to retrieve it, you wont see the fruit landing in the background, please restore this beloved features, we really love hatch, please.
We love our Fugu but why did you remove so many mechanics from the game? Not only have you not added any new items to the store or new ways to interact but you removed a lot. Not the least of which is the wonderful way the background changed relative to changing positioning on the foreground. It is so much more static and less encompassing since you folks took over. Why ruin the marvelous game it used to be.
We loved this game from the time we got our first phone back in 2013. We went away from apple because they throttled our phone battery after a few years and we couldnt afford a new iPhone at the time as a broke college kid. Now we finally have a shiny new iPad and went to download this app and its behind a subscription wall?! Lame. So sad we cant play anymore.
This app and not realizing you need to pay a subscription to continue to play after 15 minutes is ridiculous. We were recommended this app even though its been a year since its last update. Why would you keep this app behind a paywall? We wish we were told about this beforehand. App deleted.

We used to love this game but we get it back and Im only allowed to play 15 minutes then we have to subscribe to play how is that fair? We just wanted to play our favorite game again Im not paying to subscribe the once free game thanks for the memories of our sweet Fugu Kyra we will miss you dearly.
We used to have an android but Facebook stickers had already got us addicted to Hatch so the first thing we did when we got an iPhone was download hatch almost two years ago. Im a little sad that another developer picked up this app and changed some of the game, our fugu doesnt go potty anymore, and for the past few weeks our fugu has been brown after we gave him a brown star fruit. The original color we had for him was Blue, hence why his name was Blu( we know Im so basic). Other than that its still a really great app, we cant afford a support animal and our living situation, Im unable to get an actual pet and Blu really helps us out. If you could change him back to his original color Id appreciate it but if not its okay. We still love it.
First of all we are glad that this app is back. Second we noticed somethings are missing. The fugus used to poop and they would make funny shapes out of them, what happened to that. There was also decorations that you could put on the floor and the trees. Can you bring this stuff back? Also we have advertisements and we originally bought the game and it said that they wouldnt have advertisements but we do.
We love this game so much, this is the best virtual pet game we’ve ever played, we played it before the whole game club was a thing and when game club DID become a thing, we hate that we could only play it for like 20 minutes and be forced to do a trial if we wanted to still play it. Most of the times when we come on here, it crashes. Our fugu may run away because of that.
We are so tired of apps being ad-monetized after we have paid for them. The original dev did something similar before GameClub acquired it, which is the reason we deleted it in the first place. We guess it is that time again. It’s a fun game if you can live with ads when your Fugu is hungry. And before "developer response" comes in here with a half-baked reply, no we will not create a GameClub account so you can "turn off" ads while making money off our email address.
We used to play this game a lot when we were younger for a couple ,e of years we’ve been buying new things and all that jazz, we come back here a couple of years later because we would love to have played this amazing game…. No is basically what we got because now we have to pay for it? And it has ads…. We miss the old one, we know you have to make a profit but you ruined a beautiful game. Edit- well from what we’ve seen it didnt work for most of the people here, we think you might wanna fix that.
It never told us that we would have to buy a subscription to play it, there is no way of playing unless you pay money, Im annoyed that it didnt tell us, we loved the game and would love to play it but Im not paying just to play a game.
This is the longest iv had a virtual pet, we would love if you added more stuff to the game, the different colored fruits are awesome , we love that they turn the fugu different colors, also love that it keeps a step calcuater which is pretty neat, we hope it comes out with more different things in the store for him to interact with as well as more interesting things for him to sit on , maybe even a fugo friend, also maybe some type of program or daycare if people go on long vacations with no reception, we dont want our fugu to die when we go on a cruise eventually :( .
Theres no way to earn allot of acorns or coins. There needs to be an exchange for stickers we’ve got at least 5 of every one and still get more. We dont see what people talk about with ads we’ve never gotten anything like that. Maybe do ads for acorns thats be great so we can earn them to save up since you rarely get a couple 100 and most things cost over 200 acorns. Also if you buy a fruit for an amount then it should sell for that amount not every fruit sells for the same cheap price.
Have had this game for over six years so just keep it going but its not getting better. How about some real change and not just bug fixes and performance improvements? Developer has really let us die-hard fans down. Innovate will ya!?
We have had our FUGU (Fluffy) for 2302 DAYS! That is a long time! We HAVE NOT MISSED A SINGLE DAY OF TAKING CARE OF HIM! The developer at first, was okay. Maybe from time to time there would be an update. Now that this game is in your hands, can you PLEASE PLEASE consider a really great and huge update! Maybe some new fun fruits, we WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A CUTE PET FOR MY FUGU!!! How about more and cute SCENERY! We would like to see our fugu be able to TRAVEL to different places!!! WAY WAY MORE INTERACTION IS DEFINITELY NEEDED!!! Maybe scenery with MOVING WATERFALLS, or really beautiful GARDENS, something new, PLEASE!!!!!!! Thank you for your consideration with this.
Im not sure what you guys did to it but now it is extremely glitchy. Ever since the new company bought it out there are several bad glitches in what used to be a great game. The fruit in the trees is placed off. You cant scroll in the treat bag. There is so much more. Im very sad and disappointed.
Never wrote a review before but we feel like its due. We’ve playing this game for a couple of years and absolutely love it. We see that its been taken over by a new developer and that makes us happy. We really hope to see future updates. There is so much potential here. Would really like for more decorations and activities to do with your fugu! Maybe players could own more than one fugu at a time? Thanks for bringing this back :)
Cute concept, but really buggy. Buying items with coins brings up a developer menu, Max keeps repeating dialogue, coins never go above 3, the scroll sometimes doesnt work, etc…
We have had hatch on our iPhone for since the game came out more than Four years ago. We do know that it became buggy and out of date when the developer went MIA but we still played the game until we had 100% completion. Making us pay a subscription for a game that we bought years ago. Not fair.
Why did yall mess with it. All the transitions are messed up now. Its all rough and keeps freezing. Didnt have this problem before.
We really liked the game prior to the update. Mostly because the update messed up the placement of decorations on the trees and ground.
We love this game. We’ve had it for years. Its always nice to see a smiling face when you open your phone. But we woke up this morning or open it and the screen sizing is messed up, the decorations dont fit and we cant scroll through our bag to feed ours. We hope you fix this. We really love the game.
Overall love the game. Its very cute. However, we wish there was more to do, such as going places with your fugu and maybe even having two fugu. The game has a lot of potential to be amazing!
This game isnt half of what it used to be. Im so disappointed. The graphics are terrible and thats saying something coming from us. We can buy anything in the store without any money because of a coding glitch that popped up on our screen. We are now NEGATIVE star coins because we allowed a purchase of a pedometer. Absolutely furious at how this game has been forgotten. It used to be an amazing game. Not sure what went wrong but we truly hate to see a game we’ve loved so much glitch out of its Mind like this. Give us back our 1st gen. This is unacceptable.
The developers have said they made no money, even though they did… And that they won’t ever be updating the game again. So if you have a problem, which you will, you’re screwed. Shame as it was a cute game!
Love our fugu… Everyone of them… When we have to start over every time we get a new phone. Please make a save function!!! Thats allot of effort out the window.

Though the pet is virtual, it’s easy to become attached. On rough days, your little fugu running up to greet you definitely helps bring a smile. We understand, however, that no further updates are planned, and lovely, previously designed seasonal items were removed from the game, such as Easter decor and egg house, Halloween decor and haunted house, beach decor and sand castle, gold temple, etc. Please, please, please add these back–I’m sure there are many people still playing that want to add these and would be more than happy to pay, for what would likely be very minimal coding cost to the developer.
… Has this app been abandoned by its developer(s)? Shame, ’cause it has (had?) a lot of potential.
We love this app. Sometimes its hard to remember that Boo (my fugu) is virtual. Im in love with the graphics as well! But some updates would be nice… We wish we could explore and expand our fugus play area and his world…. Would be nice too to have a save option. But all in all, 5/5 stars!! Love this game!!
Our fugu does feel like a real pet, and we’ve become quite attached to it. It’s true there’s not much to do with it, but it isn’t a game, per se… It’s an artificial pet. Spend a few minutes with it every few hours or so, and it will really grow on you. It’s sweet how it comes running up to see us. We forget it’s an app sometime.
We play this on our iPhone 5s. We are now using 7 plus. But we cannot give 5s away because of Hatch. We really need to backup and restore in 7 plus. It must have backup feature.
We can’t stop playing with our fugu that we named Berry back at Christmas time we love him so much you need to have a major app update and let the Fugu’s have toys to play with like balls and frisbees and a teddy bear to cuddle with and water to drink also add more new stuff you can buy in the store like new backgrounds and let them interact with other fugu’s also add more poop sculptures and a tub for them to bathe in Thanks so much.
We lost all our data after we updated our phone, all our time and money went poof in us back to square one.
It has been such a long time since this app came out, yet it doesnt feel like it has aged a bit. It still competes in quality against modern apps. Wish it got even more love, but its been two years since the last update!
This is a great app for collectors, cute, and so much fun!
We absolute love this game we also love we think mugs we love that theres apple trees so its easy to get food theres only one Insy problem we want more like it could be funner if like you can buy a pet as a little helper and you can more stuff like a teddy bear blanket ok thats all.
