This is the first awesome app that we have encountered. We got it thinking it was gonna be a supernatural nock off. Great game.
We don't know why you wouldent give it five stars because the game was great! It was very interesting and had a awesome story line! Totally worth buying the complete package. The only fault was that the bonus chapter that you get to play if you buy the whole thing was too short, that was the only bad thing about it.
We're not going to completely rave about it, but we thought it was good. We did like the HO and the mini games. Felt like it was a short game and a very short bonus game. All in all, it was still worth purchasing and playing.
A very mysterious game , scary at times . We do recommend it.
This game is really great so far.
We always know it will be a great game if it's an Elephant game. Good story line, great graphics, music. It has it all. And we love the innovative HOG and mini games.
Well seems to be good but you never know.
So far the game is very good. No problems. Storyline is great. Sound effects are great, very spooky, sets the right atmosphere. Puzzles maybe too easy for some.
This game was super fun and enjoyable. The only thing we didn't like was it took forever to touch the right object. We would tap the same object 5 times before it would say we touched it. It made the puzzles very frustrating. Havnt had this issue with other games.
Friends & Followers, Nice twist & alternative ending. Bonus chapter way too short; Continual pop-ups during game asking for rating were quite annoying AND tacky in addition. Liked the collectibles, hidden objects & mini games. At times though hard to tap and release items, on both iPad & iPhone, which this reviewer plays all games on in order to present a more informed review. Sculpture room was brilliant-Quite innovative! Also liked character statues. Background scenery & music on the gloomy side, but needed for adventure. No character/voice synchronization. Too much jumping back & forth in general between scenes during unfolding of story. Ugliest drawn female "accomplice" with horrid looking teeth. Just looking at "accomplice's" teeth makes one want to run away in fear! All in all, enjoyable game, but since theme is definitely on the dark side, would not recommend playing of game by children 9 and under. Thank you for your continued support. ~Kamen Rider.
So we love this game and all but it's kinda creepy lol but overall great game with all the mystery and everything.
But the game us very dark, making it hard to see things.
A high quality game that functions well. Touch responsive and pretty good adaptation for iPhone. Voiceovers were lame as usual but we liked the story line. HOGs are very nicely rendered. Very short game though, especially the bonus chapter.
Our only real gripes about the game are the corny voice-acting, our character's weird (rather clueless) narrative, and the disappointing twist to the storyline. (Story would have been muuuuuch better and creepier had the designers stuck with the Judge. And the twist happens way too soon. Stopped being creepy after that reveal.) Fun HOPs. (Though, they seemed designed to make the 10 in 10 seconds achievement very hard to achieve. And could they pleeeeease stop making that aggravating achievement for "playing an HOP for over 10 minutes"?!!) we always love extra little interactions with objects within scenes…like, how you can bounce the ball after it finishes rolling down the stairs. Great graphics. Creepy 'Auntie' lullaby. Thank goodness for the teleporting map. Alternate ending was a surprise.
We liked the story and ease of use. The hidden object games and other mini games were challenging but not too hard that we had to skip them. The only flaws we saw was when trying to back out of an area we had to touch our phone multiple times to get it right, however while in a hidden object game it would pull us out too easily. The extra game was also very short compared to other Big Fish comparable games. But we extremely enjoyed it.
Great story, easy to get involved. Some of the commentary we found repetitive after each guilty person's dossier was stamped. We also found that the Bonus story was WAY. TOO. SHORT. We were making up what happens after we do this task in our head and then seconds later it was over. In any case, that to us says GREAT JOB because, really if we thought it was awful, we would likely say nothing or we'd come here ranting saying something to the effect of,"THANK GOD THATS OVER." we eagerly anticipate the newest installment of Haunted Hotel.
This is a short game, but very nicely done. Collectibles, transporting map, interactive HOP's. Sound effects are particularly good, and you can turn off all the voiceovers. A couple of the mini-games are really good, and none of them are awful. We play the iPhone version on our mini, and have no real problems.
We dont like how it goes through the intro and then it wont let us put our name in.

We finished the whole game in a day that's not worth $2.99. We didn't expect for it to run out.
During the story intro while its playing the skip button shows but tapping it does nothing. Then when it asked to type a name in. Nothing works. Pressing buttons didnt do anything. We tried hitting any letter or just the ok button to go to the next screen. Nothing. FYI.
Did not even get past the point of setting up name. Would not let us tap in name or skip. All links dead.
We normally love these games but this one freezes in the put in your name page.
Sorry didnt know how to reach out n let you know we loaded and unloaded 3 times and wouldnt go past the keyboard screen to put in player name. Looks like others were able to play. First time this has happened to us.
Please fix the bug issue! It wont allow anyone to start the game! Players cant even type in their names to start the game… This is the reason why it is rated very low.
We cant even enter our player name, much less play the game.
We really like the Haunted Hotel games. Bought this one a year ago only to have to request a refund because we were unable to start the game. We just tried to play the free version again just to see if they'd fixed this bug that so many iPhone users have had. We were super hopeful that it would work and we could buy the whole game. Nope. They don't seem to want more money from a bunch of us. Idk what to tell you. Fix it. Jesus.
We downloaded to iPhone 6 s plus. We make it to the screen to input our name but it wont let us type any letters or advance past that page.
Doesnt work on iPhone 11. Cant even get past the initial screen where you put in your player name.
Installed and uninstalled 4 times cannot even enter player name.
Downloaded and reinstalled 3 times , still freezes entering in Player Name. Stop slacking and update and fix your games.
Thanks for putting this on sale! To be downloaded and then deleted then downloaded again, to be deleted again due to it completely not working on our iPhone 8. Gave Haunted Hotel X 5 stars, LOVED it so we were excited to try.. Bummer.
We downloaded this game, but when we opened it, it wouldnt let us type our name. None of our taps on the screen were recognized. Ive tried it on an iPhone 6s and iPhone XS to no avail. Dont waste your time.
We dont know how or why but it makes our screen unresponsive. It opens plays music but we cant skip the intro or type our name. So we cant play. Fix this please.

We love this series but can't play it on our IPhone 6s+. When are you going to fix this? We have tried downloading several times and can't get past the main screen.

We have an iPhone 6s Plus and we can't get past the main screen because it won't register us clicking on anything couldn't even type in a player name.
This is the second game so far that won't let us pass the main screen. It doesn't react to touching anything but the ad. IOS 9 on 6s+, we'd really like to play it and give a better review but you have to fix it first.
This may be a great game. We don't know. Big Fish or the powers that be, have constantly interrupted our play, from the beginning, with pop-ups asking for a rating, asking us to purchase another game etc. Etc. So to get them off our back here's a one star rating. One star out of 5 because the less than 1/5 of the game that we've managed to play with these constant interruptions has been great. Hopefully, we'll be left alone to get through the other 4/5ths of the game and Big Fish can earn the other 4 stars. Now on with the game.
