We played this game a couple of years back and Im replaying it now and we can say without a doubt that this is a masterpiece and one of the most high quality games on the app store hands down our only problem is that we didnt get a part 3 because this deserves so many sequels. You can see the effort they put into the making of this game and its worth every single penny, thats coming from someone who never bought a game in the app store. We just hope that if the developers get this they take into consideration making a new one because this is one of the most immersive and fun yet chilling horror games Ive played.
The graphics in this game arent fantastic, but it kind of adds to the difficulty. This game really makes you think more than ones with fantastic graphics. We wish Haunted Manor 3 was available.
Great game its sound design is amazing we like how theres two difficulty levels for people who like to enjoy a game and for people who like a challenge 10/10 great game.
Ive played this game maybe 4 times through and we still get stuck in some spots. This is a really hard game but worth the energy. When will they come out with the third? Id love to see what they come up with.

We wish there were more games like this one! No amulets, no medallions, no hocus pocus just solving puzzles and moving deeper into the game. It's relatively hard to figure out, lots of fun.
It is very addicting. We love the puzzle of finding our way around and we love the individual puzzles along the watchtower.
HN2 is more difficult than similar games we've played – – which is a good thing. So far, we've experienced no boredom. Frustration, yes. Boredom, no! There's no quick answer button in the app but there is a walkthrough. The graphics are well done and visually pleasing and both they and the soundtrack are appropriately creepy. The story is slowly being revealed and we expect it will continue in the delightfully horrible direction it's now heading in. This app is far more interesting than we expected it to be. We recommend it.
100% worth $2.99 for the full version! We don't know if it would have gone faster on an easier mode, but we played on the Brainy mode and it took us several hours to complete. The graphics are really good, also. The controls on the puzzles were a little off at times, but it didn't take away from the fun of the game. Looking forward to #3.
This game is fantastic. We love the scenery, it reminds us of "resident evil".
This game is so challenging and we can see why people are hating. But there are walkthroughs!! And it's not a game that can be finished in a couple of hours or a couple of days no matter how smart you are. It took us a couple of months just to finish ONE puzzle because we got stuck. But the reason we like this game so much is because it tells a good story, it's not that scary, the graphics are amazing, and it's challenging!! We're psyched for 3.
This game is leaps and bounds more difficult than your average "escape" game. The attention to detail and the atmosphere are fantastic, and the storyline is truly creepy. We had to check out the walkthrough multiple times because, as other reviewers stated, some parts are very unintuitive and difficult to figure out (oddly enough, knowing Hebrew is a plus for finishing the game). Definitely worth the $3.00.

This game is almost flawless. Great plot, nice graphics and difficult puzzles. But the player must be warned. This is probably the most challenging point-click puzzle game out there. There are virtually no hints, and you often have to click on every little spot to find new objects or a new area to explore. We found it a bit annoying that there are objects that apparently can be interacted with, because they have a description, but that play no role in the game development. Overall, a beautifully done game, well worthed its price.

We pretty much agree with the other reviews. The game for 99 cents is an excellent bargain to enjoy a very long and difficult game. But some of the (pre) puzzle scenario clues were not very logical in relation to the puzzle you were attempting to solve. EX: tiles you needed that were located in places that made no sense to leading you to the location to find it. Some are located places in the game that require you to click on every inch of the screen to find. Also – yes, the game is too dark. But easy fix – Turn up the brightness setting a bit on your device when playing. Also – read reviews in the Lite version about the game being broken – ex: tiles not sliding -that's because they weren't supposed to – they needed to be turned when located other pieces – user error – the game worked Flawless for us – no prob at all. We would still recommend this game if you enjoy a real challenge that goes beyond typical hidden object challenge games.

It well done, there are a couple of glitches, like when you pick up the blue key in the game room it still shows the key in the box. Its also difficult to see the objects you need without hints, and even then you sometimes find yourself aimlessly tapping to locate it. But the puzzles are fun and interactive. The backstory is creepy and interesting. It does leave you goin Whaaaat?! At the end but we think its suppose to be that way. Its be neat if there were alternative endings.
We already purchased and played this game years ago. And yet this new release took our money without acknowledging our prior purchase. Seems to be happening to a lot of people on other games as well.
Ok this game was good and $3 was worth it but seriously disagree with the amount of time to solve. We finished this game we a couple of hours. That being said we really like the game.
We really like this game, but have issues with our eyes, so wish it wasn't so dark. We also wish all the notes & clues could be enlarged, some games let you enlarge the screen to see better, this one does not. Other than that the game was fun.
We really enjoyed the first Haunted Manor; this one not as much. The puzzles are a lot more difficult and not nearly as intuitive. We found we had to use the appunwrapper walkthrough to complete several of the puzzles. We like a challenging game if the puzzles make sense, but we found this game frustrating.
We'd have given it 5 stars but after playing it all the way through and admittedly having to ask others for help occasionally because it is super challenging. We were finally on the last task and the game got stuck, unable to complete even with help. It looks like the only way we could ever replay this game that we paid for, is to delete and reinstall it…we're not real happy.
…we are enjoying our game. Without the help from a walk-thru, we probably would just toss this one aside. We wish the creators would have taken us low IQ's into account and given a few clues when we choose "easy" mode as opposed to "brainy". We feel no less stupid when playing "brainy" mode than we do on easy. If there is a difference, we are oblivious to it. Granted, it is still worth the 99 we paid to waste a few moments of our escape, so thank you.
Some puzzles are just an exercise in frustration. The colored balls for instance. We play a lot of these games and was enjoying this one until we stopped having fun and realized how frustrated we were becoming. PLEASE OFFER A SKIP BUTTON.
Tried the lite version and decided to buy the full version and unlike other games of this type, we lost all our progress and had to start over again. They need a better way to upgrade from lite to full.
Needle missing from sewing machine in tailors room, so unable to remove ring. Prevents us from completing game. No response from app dev.
We enjoyed the first Haunted Manor, and we liked the concept of this one. However, a lot of the scenes were too dark to find clues and nothing about this was intuitive. Usually you have some idea of where to look next, but we could sit for an eternity before figuring out the next step. And we couldn't tell what the difference was between the easy version and the brainy version. Neither of them gave clues. We usually don't write reviews, but we wouldn't play this one again.
This is a great game, but it doesnt work with iPadOS v13.5.1. Contacted support, but no response. Given how long its been since the last update, we think this game has been abandoned. Im going to have to get a refund from Apple.
Do. Not. Try and play this on your iPhone. Clues are unresponsive and counterintuitive and will frustrate u. Stay away from this game- we stayed way too long.
Your game is broken, when we get to the part with the jars of "CH3" and everything in the science room, the jars that you NEED to grab in order to beat the game, it won't let us grab them, so if we better get feedback in 1 month.
These HM games are the best out there. We're shocked that there aren't any others out there that we have found at this level like redbit. They should put out a new version every year at least! Waiting on the 3rd installment. Any release date as of yet.
It's addicting! It's challenging enough to make you think and feel good when you accomplish the more challenging tasks. We play a little here and a little there. We purposely spread it out so we have something to look forward to when we have a little time to kill. You'll really enjoy it if you like solving puzzles.

We've been searching for years for a game like the ones we used to play in the 90s like Myst & other puzzle type games, and until finding this have been seriously disappointed by what's been out there. This was extremely hard, made us have to think, get frustrated, & become consumed like those old games did & we love it! However these days we're happy that there's plenty of help to be had online for those spots where you just can't figure out what to do! Awesome game. Now we're going to go back and play HM1! Lol.
We like the fact that the game was long enough we could play for a half hour and then come back to it at a later date. We also enjoyed the fact that we only had to get a few clues but it wasn't to easy.
This was a good puzzle game. It lasted longer than others we played and number of rooms and puzzles were enjoyable. Great game.

Very well done guys! We had troubles locating things that were hidden in the dark. We think the hue was too dark to conceal objects. Perhaps keep the concept, but change it via camouflage instead (just a suggestion). The game was definitely spooky, eerie, and just creepy which make it such a success (IMHO). Terrific graphics. Also like the length of the game. Very challenging (most notably the lab)! Impossible game to beat for the price. Looking forward to the next one.

This isn't your typical puzzle solving game. Many different kinds of situations to figure out. We are enjoying it so far.

Haunted Manor 2 is really great game, it reminded us of Silent Hill in someway. Some puzzles are tricky and challenging which made it more interesting beside the graphics that exceeded our expectations. Not to forget mentioning the lovely creepy music box soundtracks. The team who developed this game must put lots of efforts to get it designed this way. Well done.
