Recent improvements include:
• Version 4 is a ground-up rewrite of the Heart's Choice app, designed to look great with iOS 26 Liquid Glass.
• We've also added a new button on the Settings screen to "Download all games." When you use it, all games will be available offline. It’ll take a few minutes to run. The next time you tap it, it will skip downloading games that are up to date; it should refresh in under a minute.
• On iPad, you can now close the stats screen when holding the iPad in landscape mode.
New in 4.0.5:
• Now you can search and sort games that you've added to your Favorites, games that you've Purchased, and games that you've Downloaded.
• We have a new "LGBTQ+" search option. Many of our games allow you to choose your character’s gender and sexual orientation. The games tagged "LGBTQ+" go above and beyond to showcase queerness and queer relationships.
• We also have two more new search options, "Polyamory" and "Group Sex." Games tagged "Polyamory" allow romantic relationships in groups of three or more. "Group Sex" includes sex scenes with three or more people.

Heart of battle was hands down the best one Ive played.
We love these types of games. We think that they are fun and very interactive but we would like if some of the spicy or spicers stories were free to play. That would be much appreciated as well as some inclusive straight stories.
Never before have we found a game with explicitly asexual options. Literally started crying. The writing is amazing, realistic, and inclusive. We adore it.
We're a newer player, but so far we're loving this app. We like the diversity of stories, the accessibility for free players with trials and the free tier (we think the option to watch ads is a good compromise for those who can't or don't want to purchase every story, and would even support this being expanded to more stories; if the system stays the way it is for the free tier, we're more than willing to watch ads), and am having a lot of fun playing what feels like a really interesting and customizable game. We have one big suggestion though: we think there should be an option to undo choices or to navigate to earlier parts of the story you're reading without restarting. Maybe this is a problem with one specific story and not the app as a whole–we've only played one so far and based on reviews, it sounds like they may each be set up slightly differently–but it'd be a lot more convenient to be able to navigate or rewind to an earlier choice if we want to change it rather than starting the story over from scratch. The text format makes this relatively easier for us personally to manage, but sometimes when we play interactive rp games like this, we like to see where certain choices lead before committing and just kind of test the waters, and sometimes we just realize we would've rather made a different choice. Otherwise, we really like the way this app is set up as a platform for multiple stories/authors, love the spice rating system, love the ui so far (particularly the stats section), love the way that free players are handled as opposed to other games as of now, and yeah. It's just that one thing we really want to see changed. EDIT: okay wait we stand corrected! The lack of an undo button is deliberate to preserve dramatic tension. We can respect that. We'd say to just be aware of this when you make choices in games and make sure not to slip and click the wrong button, like we did once (early on, so it was fine). There are times when we wish we knew more clearly what certain decisions "meant", like sometimes the speaking choice is exactly what we wanna say, but the resulting actions aren't–but we can accept that as a necessary part of letting the tale seduce us. There are certain things that this decision is especially great for, like one of the characters our mc is friends with died, and knowing it was preventable, we're now having them focus more on training, which is! Dramatically a very solid reason for an arc! EDIT 2: a suggestion! A compromise in fact! What if (unless this is already a thing) once you finish a book, you have the option to go back and replay the game from a certain point, like if you want to replay certain scenes? No this isnt about anything in particular no im not trying to have dinner and dessert w eryx and remi in the same night EDIT 3: AND/OR! A way to reread finished chapters without being able to edit your decisions? Just to look back.
Love this app so much but we need more juicy and magical stories we need more please.

Ive always loved choose your own adventure games, and have played them even in print form as a young child. This is one of the best apps we have found for this. Its stories are unmatched in their immersion and writing style. We love that they describe how heated the romance gets, as we usually prefer a more moderate tone in that regard. They offer appropriate descriptions so readers can make proper choices. We have enjoyed all of the interactive tales we have read so far. They constantly update with new offerings,and it is much appreciated.
Choice of Games app continually has new stories, but not this app. Which is a shame as the spicer stories deserve the same if not more recognition.
We have read most of the stories where we can play as a guy and they are all awsome,. Heart of battle was our favorite and ive replayed it multiple times for diferent endings and theyve all been amazimg. The only thing id change about this app is adding the ability to bookmark pages!!! We hate how we would bave to replay a whole story to get back to a chapter or moment we liked.
This is a really great game, but we were wondering if you could add more games where the characters love interest isnt a specific sex? And also free, haha we might sound a little shameless, but we hope youll accept our request.. Thank you.
Amazing game with amazing replay ability, ROs, attention to detail in the spicier scenes based on our gender, different routes, fleshed out characters, a great plot, balance of sad, sweet, and satisfying. Heart of Battle is the one game we would purchase and play if none else. Theres few flaws and the things that are lovable about this game far outweigh them. It truly gripped us from start to purchase and is worth triple the asking price. Ive almost never finished a Choice Game but this one got us to not only purchase because we couldnt wait two hours to continue experiencing the amazing game, but also to reach to the very end. Im sad it ended but so satisfied with everything about it. We sometimes get overwhelmed with these games and give up on them with no save option or guide, but it was amazing to just play. Great pace, great length, spicy scenes, romance, ending we LOVED it. Need we say more? Buy the game.
We were a longtime player of games like Episode and Choices, but we got sick of the constant money-grubbing. Im totally fine with offering monetary support to a game we love, but a lot of these apps were going overboard and ruining the experience. It started to feel like a nuanceless win/lose experience: pay money and get the good ending, play for free and get the bad ending. We deleted the apps in frustration, but we missed the game format. Enter Hearts Choice. We were initially drawn in by the games diverse array of MCs and love interests. We had never seen a choose your story app with nonbinary love interests, so we were excited! The more we got into the game, the more impressed we became. There are NO PAID CHOICES! The only in-app purchases are to remove ads and wait times between chapters. Being FtP is totally a viable option, as the chapters are long and the wait times are short compared to other CYS apps. However, we encourage you to purchase a story if you really enjoy it. There is definite replay value, and removing the wait times makes replaying multiple times much easier. If we could make one suggestion, Id like to have a brief description and/or tagging system that specifies the MC and love interest gender options in each story. That way, if Im only interested in F/F romance, we dont have to play through the first chapter of a story just to find out that its M/F. But thats really just a minor inconvenience in an otherwise excellent game.
First of all, the idea of a interactive book is super unique. It surpassed our expectations and was so exciting to play. The characters are so adorable that it practically begs you to form a relationship with them!! We look forward to more stories.
We love choice of games stories, so when we saw they also had this app we got it. But when we looked though the stories, most of them either make you play as a female, with no option for a male player, or your a male player and youre gay. Theres only 2-3 stories where you can play as a straight male. If we had known that this app is for lgbtq mainly, we wouldve just stuck to regular choice of games. And we know theres going to be people calling us a homophobe for saying that, but Im not saying take out the lgbt content, just add in also options to be a straight male. Nowdays all stories on choice of games include lgbt, so including us in theirs would interest more people and a variety of audiences who would support the author to make more content.
Great game- we have been sucked into multiple stories at this point. Some critical reviews claim you have to pay; but that just isnt true (at least not now.) You can purchase the game to support the company and authors; but you dont have to. After every chapter (chapters are fairly long as well) you just have to wait a little bit, watch one short ad, and continue on. There are no paid choices like the ones Episode or other choose-your-adventure stories have and we feel like our choices have a significant impact on the storyline. One thing we particularly like is the Character menu. There you can see relationship levels with characters, world/character information, and the personality stats that guide events. It is an all-around amazing game! The only thing we would want is to wipe our memory of the stories so we could go back and play them for the first time again.
And absolutely binged the story! Was immediately sucked it! Interesting characters and the choose your your adventure type story really brings back fun childhood memories. And its even better now with more mature stories and potential romances. We were so excited to get a happy ending on our first play through! Not to mention the option for romance as an asexual character! Im already looking forward to picking out what to play next.
The stories provide good escapism. Also we really appreciate that you can read them for free.
Ive played/read most of the stories, and played most of those at least a dozen times. Im more than willing to pay one price upfront and play a zillion times with no ads or timeouts. The lack of graphics is good for us; makes things run faster and leaves more to our imagination. Would recommend.
We purchased brimstone manor and we immediately liked the writing. The story definitely hooks you in and keeps you on your toes. The writing is much better than other text novels that Ive tried in this same genre. Our one disappointment is that the last two chapters of the story felt like the writer gave up. The ending was lackluster and the last two chapters felt so incomplete or almost lazily written that it did not do justice to the amazing first half of the story. If there had been as much attention and depth given to the ending as there was to the beginning, this would absolutely have been a five star, amazing review. We might try another story or two but may not purchase it right away depending on if the quality stays more consistent throughout.
We highly encourage you to read "Heart of Battle!" Especiall If you love Hunger Games. Breathtaking writing! We were at the edge of our seat as rising action hooked us in. The romance is superior to other we.N on this app and Hosted Games. Delve into this if you want a Spicy, heartpounding, addictive ride.
We know it only has a couple novels so far but the writing in the ones Ive read are really amazing! Love that theyre inclusive and some can get pretty spicy. Freshman Magic is the best one so far and hoping for a part 2.
Only thing Id like to see are more character bios at least for the important ones in each story.
Delightful and thoroughly engaging, a rare five-star review for this tale of chaos, order, and the humanmewho got to enjoy playing his way through it all. We would have enjoyed a little more heat, but what there was was very well done. If we have any constructive criticism, its around the game engine: You should be able to undo a choice, if you immediately change your mind. No, thats not how life works, but, also no, we dont turn to games about hunky angels and smoking hot demons for reality. Its tedious to have to replay when you are ambivalent about a choice and then immediately see the error of your ways. Putting that aside, however, great fun and well worth the cost of turning ads off! Bravo.
Its so fun and interactive! While Im the beginning some of the pages we skipped through with unnecessary dialogue and narrative we were engaged throughout all the stories! Except the ones we havent read of course. We just wish there were more! Half the time Im sort of expecting an isekai one to pop up.. Not that Id mind tho Some critics, we wish there was a back button for options. We cant tell you how many times we chose a choice and immediately regretted it. Although its good to face your mistakes and accept them, it would be nice to have a good back on page option.
Its good but we wish it had more three chili stories and more stories that gave you more gender options. Otherwise its a really good game.
This app is the best, but all the straight stories are all non-explicit. We need one that has the spiciness as the wrestling one, but for straight people.

Ive downloaded this just to play the All World Wrestling and Im amazed by how great the story is. Everything was way above our expectations congrats to the writers and developers. Amazing job! Highly recommend.

We bought Jazz Age and let us tell you, it didn't disappoint. From the sexy Prohie agent to the glam speak owner, this fast paced tale is the berries! It'll take you on twists and turns faster than you can do the Charleston (can you? We've tried.). Whoever wrote this, our hat's off to you! We play this again and again, and seriously will probably buy some of the other games on the app because we're always impressed by this company and the stories that are available on the app. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
We think this app is awesome and everything about it is great. The only complaint we have is that there isnt much new stories like Dawnfall or any new stories at all that come out.
Having parsed through much of the romantically-involved titles from Choice of Games (the free ones, anyway) we were left looking for a little more to suit our taste for a bit of frivolous flirtation and flattery every once in a while, and on a broke budget, at that! The stories Ive delved in are simply chock-full of endlessly captivating worldbuilding, characterization, chemistry and, of course, intimate philandering, with many options and scenarios to choose from! Like the densely-packed and pristine battleground of legality in 1920s New York City, where you smoothtalk and saunter your way around (or through, for that matter) prohibition and to the heart(s) of your soon-to-be soulmate in Jazz Age. Or, for a more theatrical, posher take on these games, delve into A Players Heart, where the worlds a stage for both political machination and the working cogs of ones romantic fling. While we are a little disappointed in the amount of stories, and less so by some of the stories lack of a selectable gender/sexuality, Choice of Hearts more than makes up for it in quality, creativity, and character. A must-have for fans of the genre, no-doubt.
We have all three (Hosted, Choices, and Hearts Choice) and they are phenomenal. We love the exploration of more mature subject matter here, and we have bought every available game for Hearts Choice. We cant wait for more from you guys.
This app is so great and immersive. We love how everything is based on your decisions and how each time you play, your endings are completely different from the previous ones. Personally we like this app more than the other one since the novels are free to read and are more enjoyable. Thank you for developing this app. Cant wait to read more.

The pirate story is our personal favorite, but they are all pretty great! We love choice of games romance stories.
Dawnfall was the first game Ive played where we could be our own gender. Being able to choose whether relationships were sexual/romantic/platonic was also amazing. Ive started reading some of the other stories, and they seem promising as well. The wait between chapters is pretty reasonable. There are no paid choices, which is a big plus.
We started playing just a few days ago and Ive already fallen in love with the stories. Especially Lisa Foxs story, A Pirates Pleasure! Its so interesting and so in-depth, we admire everyones work very much. The effort everyone puts into these stories are amazing and it clearly shows. We hope that they make more wonderful stories and add more to this app as well.
So this is basically a book where you make choices that actually matters and changed the ending, it leads you to different routes and let's you explore different outcomes, this one is focused on romance which is our cup of tea! We're absolutely in love you must try the pirate story really enjoyed that one actually.
Absolutely fantastic. Very engaging, many different outputs. Happy endings, sad endings, different love interests. It was a very compelling story and we were super invested in it. We wish, though, it could have been longer. Otherwise, we 10/10 recommend it.
A Players Heart drops you into the amazing world of The Opera, an all female institution central to the life and history of a fictional community. The interactive novel captures the magic and sweaty grit of the performing arts. Its all here: the thrill and nerves of opening night, but also the chaos of rehearsals, script revisions, deadly politics inside and outside the Opera. The characters you meet are compelling and believable. The writing is detailed but never dull, sweeping you into the epic story and presenting you with decisions both crucial and intriguing. There are paths to romance, but your great love is likely to be the vibrant, exciting world of The Opera that the author has created.
So far, Im playing Pirates Pleasure and Jazz Age and IT IS SO GOOD! The stories are well-written, immersive, and we really feel that we can choose what kind of person Im playing as. We would love it if there was even more stories to fuel our addiction :D.
First Ill start off saying we love choice of games and hosted games so much! They have given us hours of entertainment and leave us excited to see what book comes next! But as for hearts choice at this time we have to rate it low because most of the books available are gender locked, while we understand each book is up to the authors choice and they have a story that they want to tell. Right now with how the app is currently it just isnt our cup of tea and we dont see the value in the hearts choice app when it has such a limited selection of non gender locked books.
Its not a free game it only lets you play the first part to the story but then you have to pay for the rest. Which is a bummer. Cant they like make money through the ads.
After all these years of Choice of Games being the forerunner of text-based choose-your-own-adventure games, they refuse to add a simple feature of any modern game ever, even though the majority of their user base has asked for it for years?!! Not only does that show their laziness, it also shows their apathy regarding their customers.
Loved this! We're so happy to have more games with a romance focus. So far these have been highly replayable and wonderfully written. Definitely recommend.
We normally play the more romantic options available on CoG so this app has proved to be a wonderful addition to their collection. We cant wait to see more new additions to the app. The current games available are all amazing in their own ways.
