Here are some hints:
- The player holding the 2 of clubs after the pass makes the opening lead. If the 2 has been removed for the three handed card game, then the 3 of clubs is led.
- Each Hearts player must follow suit if possible. If a player is void of the suit led, a card of any other suit may be discarded. However, if a player has no clubs when the first trick is led, a heart card or the queen of spades cannot be discarded.
- The highest card of the suit led wins a trick and the winner of that trick leads next. There is no trump suit.
- The winner of the trick collects it and places it face down. Hearts may not be led until a heart card or the queen of spades has been discarded. The queen does not have to be discarded at the first opportunity.
- The queen can be led at any time.

The shortest game you can now play is 250 points. If you dont like 250, next option is 500. Subscriber cannot set end of game points.Cards now only passed to left – no longer left, right, across, hold your own. If you want to play shoot the moon, you now have to go into settings to fix it. Even though Ive paid $9.99 to Apple for VIP Status for the last 4 years, there is always a button for Remove Ads showing now. All these changes (probably more that we havent encountered yet) happened on Friday 13th September 2024. Ill be cancelling subscription and requesting refund if NewPub doesnt give us back the game we paid for.
Far to many pop ups! What is supposed to be relaxation isnt. You cant continue between games because of ads. We would not purchase anything from these vendors. We will be deleting this game because of a high level of frustration.
You are not playing against the other players. You are playing against computer. Ex, your dealt with just the king of spades and you send it to the right and you just the get the queen of spades most of the times and the second card players is always a spade.
We just downloaded this app. We like the app, game is easy to use, you play one hand and then there is an AD. Stupidly ridiculous. We have only played 5 rounds and we are ready to delete this app also.
We had to delete the app after the newest update. The ads are too many and too long.

We are SICK, SICK, SICK of ads for No ad games with that stupid king that is about to drown or the terrible ad where someone is draining puss filled sores. We will no longer be playing this game or any others where these kind of ads pop up.

We hate this app. We want the old Hearts back. The player to the left constantly does not follow suit, only to play it later in the game. Caught him doing it at least fifty times, especially with clubs and diamonds.
For anyone that has ever played hearts they know you have to follow suit. The game started off good but ever since the update the computer players do NOT follow suit at all. And the ads? After EVERY hand there is an ad now. Look for a different game cause we know we will.
Fun game. We play it more than any of the other Hearts games. Game ads show fake ads for weight loss gummies using Oprah and The Shark TV show. This is fake and a scam.
We like the game and subscribed to remove the ads. The ads are still there. How can this important bug be fixed? We have attempted to contact, but without luck. You have our money. Whats the deal (pun)? Seriously, though, whats up with ads still being thereI confirmed our purchase history and it shows as completed. We rebooted our device. We went to the game settings and restored purchasesI still have ads. What gives? So far only we have given. Please fix.
Pretty funny how the computer will choose not to follow suit. AI Cheats a lot with this game this bug needs to be fixed asap.
Computer players will often ignore the rule about following suit for the card lead. They will throw off sometimes if the player before them does so, even if they can follow suit. Ads are literally presented between each and every hand (So, after all 4 players have played a card). Sometimes you also get ads during a hand, often making it impossible to see what the other players played. Messages to developers about this are ignored.
We liked this game until we realized the computers rarely follow the rules. If a diamond is led, the computer rarely follows suit, later in the game that same computer plays a diamond. This game needs an update.
App doesnt follow suit lead, other players throw same as what we played then plays that suit, app cheats.
If you havent noticed – William (one of the computer players) regularly doesnt play the suit thrown, but a few turns later he magically has a club (or diamond, or whatever). It happens all the time.
Fun game but buggy. Need to fix where players that follow us follow whatever suit we put down instead of what was lead.
Crashes and freezes all the time and have to restart the app multiple times.
We really want to like the game but its hard to win the the computer renigs all the time. The Al continues to get lone wild because the others are throwing off and playing the incorrect suit. Please fix this.
The game itself mirrors the card game exactly but strategy gets thrown off because of the many bugs in the software. Heres a great example: we were dealt three clubs and we passed them to the left. The player to the left, when they started the hand, did not play any clubs which should be impossible since we passed three clubs. Toward the end of the hand, the player to the left presented clubs!! Also, the scoring has many bugs and you cannot be certain how many points you actually have.
Way too many adds. Makes it much less enjoyable.

The app forced us to download the latest version of this app even though the original version that we had recently downloaded worked just fine. The new version is Terrible it freezes up all the time. The ads get stuck and you have to quit the game to get the ads to disappear. Dont waste your time on this one.
We pay for this app to play hearts now that we uploaded the new version we get ads all the time. We dont like it and will not continue.

We used to love this game but it forced us to take an update which is AWFUL. Im going to stop playing and find another game. Developers you really got this wrong.

Prefer the card size and size of messaging letters. Im a Senior Citizen and the new version is too small and too busy for us. Ill just keep using the old version- thank you.
If the person on our right leads clubs, and we done have any , and play diamonds. The players on our left play diamonds, ratter then the clubs that where lead. Scottslowgolfer.
The other version felt like you were playing with cards this is a machine we dont like it.
Has a stupid bumper ad across the bottom of iPad screen that disrupts the play. This is an iodate that didnt need to happen.
This new version really bites. Trying too hard to be anything but a hearts players fun. We deleted it.

No actual player would pass the cards or play like this game does. We win almost every time so not very challenging.
This version seemed cool when we played the first hand, but we soon realized you have to watch 2 ads between every hand. And when we looked at the features not much had changed. The whole game is aimed at getting you to buy the ad free version and there is nothing setting this apart from other Hearts applications. We like the old version better where you got an add every few hands.
Tried this new version of Hearts but was disgusted by the ads showing a girl dancing in a skimpy bikini. Will not keep this on our computer.

The new version is horrible!!! You have to pay for alternate colored tables and if you want a different face card. The only options available otherwise are a green table and face cards with tiny print. The graphics are dull and the colors blend together so much it creates an image that makes it hard to focus. The graphics that make images of the cards move is either extremely slow or so fast your head spins. We wouldve preferred the game was left alone and never changed at all. Sincerely, Amie H.
We like this new version so much better. The options are better and you dont need to tap twice to play a card. Dont like how big the ads are, however.
Player on left shoots the moon about 40% of the time. Players will play points on first hand. Players slough suits when they have played suit. Worst attempt ever.
We enjoyed your game until the upgrade, which added ADS right on top of our cards. We cant (hardly) play the game now without (accidently) touching the ads and redirecting our screen to open those up. And $2.00 a MONTH to remove ads?? Seriously? Im not paying you $24 a year to NOT see ads! We wouldve paid $5 one time, but not every month. Sorry, but Ill find another game to play.
There was nothing wrong with the old version. Sometimes newer is NOT better.
The game gives points even when you get get any points.
The UI updates are nice but now there is no point in playing the game. No longer do you have easy, medium and hard settings. Now you have a windows 95 era game of hearts; try and shoot the moon every-time. The AI is too dumb to try and stop you. If your cards are no good for shooting the moon someone else will and the other two AI players are too dumb to take a single trick to keep the other AI player from shooting. This is exactly how hearts in Windows 95 worked. Not sure how one could turn back AI capability 20+ years but this company figured it out. Time to find a new game with real all around human or AI game play.
We agree with all the other reviews that this is so much worse than the previous version. Additionally we cannot get rid of the ads that cover the cards without paying for it. What a rip off.
We do not like the new version. Hope something can be done. If not we will delete both versions.
