Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

We love this game and we think it is the best one available(not sure if it is available any longer but we have it and am very happy that we do). The one problem that seems to occur often is the game either freezes or it kicks a player out on the live game and then it most if the time won't let you finish your game which then wasted your time. That is our only complaint. A great game and we love it.

Good game, all the other 3 are trying to kill you.iwin at about 50%.

Play a lot in evening. Very well done.

We enjoy this game and play at least once a day.

After loading newest iOS, hearts now crashes.

Challenging. When you play the offline game a lot, you realize that the underlying algorithm is mainly directed to defeating the human player. Each AI player is only playing to defeat the player and not independently playing to win. It makes it slightly more challenging to win, but even a modest player should achieve a 50% winning rate or higher.

We play this game daily and like it. What we dont understand is when we go to play on-line sometimes it will say 1 or 2 waiting so we click to play. But Im not connected with them. Why? If they are waiting also why arent we connected. We would like to play the jack of diamonds rule game but cant find directions anywhere how to play it. Please post it. All in all we love this game. Keep up the good work. Karen.

We agree with others who say the game is not perfect. The 2-3-4-5 of hearts are given to the four players more often than we care to think about. However, we have derived hours of fun from playing the game despite its imperfections. Keep up the good work.

Hearts Online challenges every level player. It is fun and keeps one entertained. One may get on a run of wins and feel Ive got it licked and boom down you go. It is difficult over time to win 40% of the time.

We have not tried online playing yet, but the offline is challenging, even though it is somewhat predictable. It is good for a computer game.

It has disappeared from our phone and we cannot get it back! Second time has happened! Very disappointing.

Play daily. Quite like it. But, on iPad mini, it exits immediately on startup, and must be deleted and reloaded. Quite tiresome. Otherwise 5 stats. Hope the bug gets fixed.

Is there any way we can stop that biased automatic computer passes during a online Hearts game.

Crashes often, but one of the best.

If we run the hand and pick add 26 to opponents, the person across from us has 26 points deducted, not added. Occasionally this happens to others player randomly. IPhone 7 with latest iOS.

Many bugs, this game crash so many time everyday every game please update it.

We love this game. We play it against the computer and it is very challenging! We also play against a friend. This is where the trouble comes in. It drops the online game occasionally. Biggest problem is when we purchased the "no ad" version. Our friend disappeared and on our iPad, it hasn't been dispuesto for several weeks! We wrote to the owning company and did receive a response, but no fix yet. On our phone, we can only play online IF our friend invites us. We cannot invite him at all. Would love to give this app a higher rating if these things could be fixed. Do not purchase the "no ad" version – it will corrupt the app.

Computer players are a bit erratic, but still occasionally challenging. Good options. Why not fix the crash situation when a hand is misdealt.

We are tired of the computer constantly sending us the cards that we dont want! This is a very frustrating game, to the point Ive am looking at other hearts games to play.

Frequently has to close the current game for unknown reasons. Eventually the app closes and refuses to open. You have to reload the app.

How do we get the ads to stop on the Euchre game!? We paid for the upgrade on the Hearts game and it works fine, but no option on the Eucher _()_/.

Program regularly freezes up midgame.

Why not make it random draws. Not draws for drama? A huge percentage of the time the 2-3-4-5 of hearts are dealt to the four players. The 5 of clubs takes more queen of hearts than any other card. A random draw gives a player 8 cards in one suit…… Long odds. Really not that good of a game. Over manipulated for drama.

Was awarded the Q of spades 7 hands in a row…as a counter.

Always freezes up and if it doesnt freeze up, you will wait for 5 to 10 minutes before it finds someone to play with you. Fix these problems and we will be back, until then we are deleting this app.

If we were to rate the app on freezing during games on a scale of 1 to 10, we would say 7. Its amn annoying.

Exchange of cards is dependent upon what you pass NOT independently as a real game would be. If you are in the lead then impossible hands are dealt and all other players collude to defeat you with knowledge of other players cards. Occasionally it doesnt cheat. Then somewhat enjoyable. If it cheats, start a new game. OVERWHELMING CHEATS. Game out tree for ulterior motives. Beware.

Ive played this game a long time but recently it drops about 50% of the time… Usually when your winning which makes us mad. We hope they can fix the bug soon or we will have to pass this one to the trash pile.

You wait forever for a game. Don't waste your time, you will never play.

This version of hearts is a complete waste of time. Takes forever to connect then when you do connect you get dropped 95% of the time.

Way better than other hearts games we have tried.

Lots of fun, we play the game all the time.

Please fix. For some reason our points are not changing after we finish a game. The points show after we finish a game but then they drop off.

Can play it all day. AI players mix it up with abilities to keep it interesting.

Tap tap tap tap… Doesn't always work. Same with sliding the card.

Do not waste your time with this horrible app. It doesn't work half the time and the other half it lets the top rated player win. Horribleeeeeee app.

Occasional crashes (maybe one in fifty games). Have not tried it online. Opponents seem slow to react to our style of play, and forget between games. Otherwise fun to play.

Pretty good app. We still haven't found a truly smart Hearts app, but this is one of the better ones we've used. We wish there were more people on line playing. Never played with more than one other human at the table, but the link worked well.

Maybe could have a speed control.

Good game. But it disconnects you if you accidentally touch the ad at the bottom of the screen.

We love this Hearts app. It will be even better when more people have it. It takes awhile sometimes to start a game. We really recommend it. We have tried every Hearts app and even websites. This one is awesome. Thanks.

It's offline portion is just as good as any other. The online portion is very smooth running, we have yet to have any technical issues with the game. The only issue is that it needs more players to get more 4 person online play. Still, this is a well made version of hearts.

This app took our money to get live chat and feedback and never gave us the function! WHY? Easy to get our payment from us and no action from the app. This is wrong.

Good offline, poor multiplayer online.

This is a better implementation than a couple of Hearts apps that we tried previously. We have not tested the online portion yet, but the computer players are pretty good. Still, the artificial intelligence of those players could be a little better, it is way too easy to shoot the moon, and the passes that you receive are predictable. We imagine it must be very hard to program a Hearts game to have truly sophisticated computer-based opponents, but it is clearly possible. For example, the Hearts game that comes with Windows XP seems to have smarter opponents than those in Hearts Pro. The biggest problem is that this game crashes about 15% of the time. That can be really annoying if you are deeply into a long game.

Online version is useless. Disconnects more often than not.

Great game, but game server crashes about 1 of 5 games and games cannot be resumed. A good idea would be to implement some sort of penalty for players that frequently quit. Perhaps a rating system and an option to avoid quitters with an abnormally high % of leaving the game.

This app seems to be less stable now than in previous versions. Particularly when you are waiting for an online game to start. The start hangs and you have to cancel and start again.

An earlier version of the upgraded app ran well on our old iPad, iOS 5.1, though there were occasional bugs with both scoring and card passing, the latter causing a crash. On iPad Air iOS 8.1.3, the latest version of the app ran briefly, but now simply refuses to open, crashing within a second of hitting the icon. There appears to be no way of contacting the developer.

Offline is pretty good but good luck on trying to play online / multiplayer. The loading time takes a while. After about 10-20 tries finally got a game but don't want to be doing that all the time. Downloaded game to play against other people but don't want to wait while it loads. Will delete if not fixed.
