We’re glad you got the IP back from Bulkypix. After you added cloud saving we made some purchases. The thing is when are we going to see some content updates? If spend more if we got more to spend on. It is a fun game with a great art style!
The only thing we would add is shadow effects and more missions. Other than that, this game is even better than the space fighter game this developer has put out. This puts most games on iPad to shame. Great developer. Keep up the good work!
This is what we look for. Fun shooter game, no glitches, and possible to reach end without paying. You watch some adds, not bad, but great game play.

Save your stars for new weapons, missles, and helicopters. Skip the star upgrades… The other icons dont buy.. Theres no explanation for them and the icons dont help at all.

Wow, we are very surprised at and disagree with all the negative reviews. This is not the type of games you could or should use tilt control. So dude, don’t complain that there ain’t. The games’ graphic is adequate. We think the biggest strength of this game is it awards you the sense of achievement. Yes, there is grinding in the design that you have to play every stage many times. But it awards you with achievements, which ties to your level to unlock weapons for purchase and new stages. In game money/currency you earn in the stage is crucial for weapon upgrade and purchase of new chops. We would pay for this game on PSN or XBLive if available ! Nowadays, the app store is filled up with shovel ware which lures you in with F2P then you are inhibited with time block to force you to pay. There is no such thing in this game. We beat the game few years ago. Now loaded it in our 2170 iPad. We are as happy to restart from scratch as we did in 2015.
We get hit even though we wuss 5 meters away we die for no reason we didnt even press the revive button but it still did it and it even killed us win we started a new level and win you die it rubs it in because it practically tells you YOU DUCKING BLUE IT!
Great graphics, nice variety of level designs, cool weapons, sweet choppers, and great challenges. Even level one is quite challenging early on. The challenge and long levels make the grinding tolerable and fun. We love how you can unlock weapons and levels by completing the achievements. You do not have to beat the level to unlock the next one. Also, we admire the fact that the biggest in-game purchase is $20 and gets you a lot. That is very reasonable and rare in free mobile games these days. So if you get tired of grinding, you don’t have to spend much at all. The game has realistic physics and the touch controls feel great. The sound effects are very realistic and sound great on nice speakers. The levels are well designed and have a great variety of looks. The graphic detail is decent and there is no performance lag. The enemies and bosses are awesome, there are a great variety in the game, and they are strategically placed. Every level has new, larger, and more powerful enemies added, and is much tougher than the previous. You feel a great sense of achievement when you purchase much needed weapons and choppers. Every purchase and upgrade is crucial for success. Plus the weapons and choppers look awesome! One aspect we find particularly interesting is the fact that every time you play the same level, it is different in several ways. The time of day continuously changes. Sometimes it seems like night, then it seems like dusk or dawn, then sunny at other times. One part of the day gives a nice purple tint to the water. Also, groups of enemies are strategically placed in the levels but within that framework, their are subtle variations in which enemies such as boats, planes, turrets, missiles, and so on, show up randomly. Even some of the enemies you see every time are placed in different locations. We also love how the vertical missile and laser strikes will continue to aim directly at your chopper no matter where you are. Anyway, thanks developers for a great vertical shooter with reasonable in-game purchases. The gameplay is addictive and fun, and never gets stale. We have played over 100 games in the genre and this is one of our favorites.
We wanted to play to play it again for nostalgia but when we tried to load the game, it just crashes and just has a black screen. We would like to see this fixed at some point.

We think HELI HELL is a wonderful game to play but not if youre a pacifist but if youre into war and/or youre a pilot it is such a nice game to play.
So we downloaded this game long ago and it started to not entering the game so we felt mad not to come back playing this favorite game so we would like it if this game will be fixed.
Awesome game we’ve found on a long time.
Great fun free game, awesome graphics, controls pretty smooth. Was happy to pay $5 for gold coins for faster level ups (still playable if u don’t want to spend $ and just grind). Would be 5 stars if added (1) daily rewards for playing, and (2) more cool weapons such as those we see in Phoenix, or retro games like Raiden and Twin Cobra.
Game is fun. Ads are virtually nonexistent, which is good. The controls are a little wonky sometimes and the cost to upgrade weapons and the choppers are a little high compared to the amount you get from completing a stage. Prepare to grind quite a bit.
So been a minute since we played this but the game started us over. We wonder if there is any way to get back to where we were in progress?

Okay so we played this game a long time ago and we recently downloaded it again. We logged into our account and all our stuff was there but… We couldn’t proceed to the next level, we had completed level 1 and all of the challenges but we were still level 0 Really bummed about this because we grinded a lot for 20,000 coins and now we can’t even put them to good use Please fix this ):
Im a enthusiast of this genre of game, and Heli Hell does a good job of combining retro gameplay with really pretty graphics. The game is rendered in an overly-vivid, almost cartoon-like manner, somewhat similar to many action RPG games. It works well, and looks great. Controls are responsive and the helicopter flight and gun animations are fantastic. This game offers the usual upgrade path of getting better helicopters and better guns as you progress through increasingly difficult levels. Earnings for each level are based on the level difficulty and the level of the player. Yes, there is a player leveling system, and this is fundamentally the core of the problem with this game. Leveling on this game is not based on achievements or progress, but rather money spent on helicopters and helicopter upgrades and grinding levels. The real problem lies in the fact that as you progress in upgrades, they naturally become more expensive. Some game levels are timed, and therefore require a certain level of gun upgrades in order to complete within the required time. But heres the big problem: After completing 4 or 5 game levels, the higher levels require a certain minimum player-level to enter. The same goes for helicopter gun upgrades. The result is that youll be in a situation where you might have to repeatedly replay already-completed levels, over and over and over (and over and over) again to earn money to sufficiently level your player-level and upgrade your helicopter in order to progress to the next level. You can speed the process up by purchasing money, of course, which is thankfully fairly priced. But the game just needs a better progression system and there are not many game levels at all. The game is designed to stretch those few levels as far as possible, which in turn would likely compel players to spend money on upgrades. The actual game mechanics are fair to good. Some game levels are not very well thought out and strategies often require the intentional taking of damage to get through. There are sometimes no real timed or choreographed mechanic solutions to some scenarios which is common on this game type. Thats not a major problem though. The bigger problem lies in the automatic nature of the guns. The player does not fire the gun on this game; rather, the gun fires itself when you have an enemy target inline with your helicopter. It takes getting used to, but works fairly well with some exceptions. This class of game should definitely give the player the option to manually fire the guns, since the automatic system in place limits the players ability to run and gun quickly to deal with many enemy targets, which is a hallmark strategy of games of this type. We hope they add a manual fire control. One of the fun aspects of to-down bullet hell shooters is the feeling of blasting away everything in front of you. This game minimizes that feeling. Lastly, the audio. Its absolutely dreadful. Your helicopters guns make very low, muted puff puff sounds that are difficult to even hear, while the enemy weapons are overly-loud. Furthermore, the developer applies a lot of reverb and delay/echo effects on the sounds, which has a very negative effect on the entire affair. For example, enemy guns often dont sound like guns at all, but just thunder-like, explosive and amorphous sound effects, and in a very bad way. The game also needs music during gameplay. That would add tremendously to the overall experience. Theres music in the game (with the option to turn it off) but its in the menus only. And finally… That little lead guitar thing that is played at the ending of a level is absolutely, positively atrocious. Not only does it sound terrible, but its too loud. If you have ever seen the movie, Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure, youll understand where they must have gotten the inspiration for this. Please, please remove it, or at the very least give the player and option to turn it off. Please. Please. This is a fair game that could be fantastic. We hope the devs will update it. Last update appears to be two years ago so Id be willing to bet that this game will fade away with the next major iOS update.
We purchased 250000 in upgrade coin and never received it.
Even if you wanted money, you literally programmed this game to be a time sink. Did you ever calculate how much it would take to beat your game? When one objective is Collect 100,000 coins in this level and you only get 5,000 per run, thats 20 repeats. And when the very next objective is Now collect 150,000 more coins, thats 30 more repeats. Same goes for killing 500 enemies on a 10 enemy stage because mines dont count even though they can kill you. Does playing a level at least 50 times just to get 1/15 objectives sound fun? How about when getting all the objectives is the only way to progress through the game? And dont even get us started on the unavoidable enemy fire patterns or the shoot em one at a time auto-targeting that the developer exploits by throwing around distraction enemies while you only want to shoot the giant ship in front of you. We just wish we couldve reviewed this game back when you cared about it (if you ever did), but it took us this long to play far enough to give an honest assessment. It is truly terrible as a result of misguided developer decisions rather than anything technical or conceptual. It is an embarrassing misrepresentation of everything it pretends to be.
It’s pretty cool that your in a helicopter & not the same old jet fighter. We understand that the game is free to download so the developer needs to make money somehow, other than the ad revenue, but there’s gotta be another way than the coins. You can play & play & play to earn the coins in missions & with everything costing so many coins it starts to feel like it’s pointless to go that route.
We noticed as we started playing the game All the good items are super expensive, which is fine but getting to them is way too slow and it takes so long to farm up enough coins to buy them, let alone upgrade them, we’re not asking you should make it so we reach them really fast but up the amount of coins we get because it feels like we can’t get anywhere without buying coins with money.
The helicopter’s hurtbox is so wide that it’s impossible to avoid the bullets, the helicopter’s guns are insanely weak and take way too long to kill anything, enemy ships keep shooting you once you past them, and there’s not a constant stream of fire, meaning you can only shoot out bullets coming toward you if there happens to be an enemy in front of you, the music when you die and get ‘achievements’ is insanely loud, cheesy, and obnoxious. The game is WAY too hard. Games like these are supposed to make your helicopter feel better than all the enemies, usually having very strong guns or something to balance out having to fight multiple enemies at a time, but your helicopter is literally worse than any other enemy, being slow, big, and dealing barely any damage. We deleted this game in frustration of it wanting to leech our money to continue the impossibly difficult levels. This game is TRASH. We wish there was a 0 stars option, even giving this piece of crap one star feels generous.
