Community Insight:
This is a great game to play. We have beaten it already a year ago and now Im playing it again.
More simplistic but fun heroes of might and magic type game. The characters and units feel the same. The battles feel fluid and very much resemble the nostalgic feel of the original game. The strategy is streamlined to cut out the castle building and money management. The resources are also not present but it feels the same as the old game. More polished perhaps. Definitely recommend you try it if you like HOMM! Portable and digestible on an iPhone/iPad.
This is the perfect game Ive been looking for! Get the bundle all the games are worth it.
Nice simple turn based strategy.
Reminds us of the endless hours of Heroes of Might and Magic we used to play back on Windows95. Best $ spent on iPhone game.
Love this little game especially for the price! Bear in mind it's built for a mobile device so the fact that you can even create armies with a large pool of varying unit types is pretty awesome among other things. Either way totally worth the $1.
Really fun game very much like the original kings bounty game. If you like turn based strategy games, this is a must.
Good balance – very addictive. Casual fun that you can do for one minute or a couple of hours. Well worth the price. Hopefully they will develop more of these types of games.
Turn-based RPG. Fun, decent graphics, good way to spend a few hours.
Great game. Is the best Heroes of Might and Magic type game we've seen for mobile. Similar army types. Easy to use controls. Doesn't have the castle building, but is still fun without. Turn based play flows a little better than homm.
One of the best turn based strategy games of its kind. On any platform. Excellent work.
Best 99 cents game ever, keeps you on your toe. The game is very simple. Fast paced when you want it to be. Keeps you busy.
Lot of fun but really hard to go through without losing your whole army. Guess that is what keeps it fun.
We like your company games. We hope you make many as you as possible.
Can't wait for expansions, additions, or Heroes 2.
A very good recreation of this old school genre, fun to play and will keep you coming back. Could we have an endless/conquer all mode.
We have been playing and thoroughly enjoying this game since we bought it. We love the ability to constantly get new monsters to fight for you. Excellent job.
This is a great turn based strategy game; one of the best we have played. There are missions which allow you to recruit a wide assortment of fighters for your army-from archers to Druids to zombies. There is a vast area to explore by boat or land and the fighting is top notch. You can breach castles and fight other ships. There is also a strategy based economy to the game becauseyou pay your army with your allowance from the king. A very we'll thought out game.
Just downloaded & already love it.
An amazing job of drilling down on the basics of gameplay that make Heroes of Might & Magic and King's Bounty so great. The tactical AI isn't hard and there's no castle building. But that's ok. The map plays out like a puzzle forcing the player to find the delicate balance between army upkeep costs and what battles you can win with minimal losses to continue generating income. Gameplay is fast, streamlined and much more precise than other ios HOMM clones like Palm Kingdoms. A bug report to developers: estates skill and endless cart of gold artifact do not generate gold at the end of the week like they're supposed to.
Great game. Very similar to heroes of might and magic games. Fun turn-based game.
We have always liked Heroes of Might and Magic series. We really like this, especially on our iPad Air.
We've been playing this every day for this week. We have already beat all 3 modes. There is some strategy to this game, especially on the hardest mode when upgrading is a must to win. It typically takes us around 3-5 hours to beat the game depending on the mode. We're addicted.
Wicked fun, just like the old king's bounty, and NO IN APP PURCHASES–something so rare today. Totally worth the $.99.
This game is awesome, because it's just like Kings Bounty on the Sega Genesis. We can't tell you how many nights we've spent playing that game. This game has the exact same formula, puzzles, recruiting troops, traveling and laying siege on the baddies. We're HOOKED.
Very fun and addicting, like HOMM-light.
We'll done on this game. Just downloaded but nothing negative to say.
We've only just started playing. But, for those of you that get a lot of games and just delete them after a few minutes, this isn't one of those. It's a keeper.
If you love heroes of might and magic, you will love this game. There are a lot of similar concepts and battles are pretty much identical. It's a very refreshing take on turn based strategy apps and unlike anything you will find on the App Store. Definitely worth the 99 cents.
This is what a game should be like like. Once uh download it you never need the internet again. No friend request no more things to buy.
Reminds us of the Nintendo King's Bounty game.
You're our heroes, dev team! This game costs more than you pay for it.
Just like kings bounty/ heroes of might and magic. 99 cents is a steal.
Please make more game like this or keep updating we will buy them all.
Very interested small game like Heroes. We play it again and again – it's very funny. Special thanks for skip monetization and other ugly features like socialization or in game ad's. Nice job, guys. Waiting for next your games.
Gotta stop playing at some point and get some shut eye.. Nice job guys.
We love it! It's fun, not too easy, not too hard.
Not overly complicated, but great fun and you can really kill some time with this one.
More to it thank you expect. Great little time waster.
Amazing game. If you like old school Kings Bounty this is the game for you.
Okay, let's cover everything. Presentation is adequate. The music is fine. Not many different tracks, but the ones that exist aren't bad. The sound design is also limited, but decent. Graphics are nothing to write home about, but the character models are creative, the framerate is solid, and colors are bright. For what it is, this is all just fine. Gameplay, when it was at its best, reminded us of playing Mount and Blade, one of the greatest medieval RPGs of all time. You travel about the land, seeking the holy grail, building an army out of different types of soldiers, which you can recruit for money. Conquered castles give a place for hiring knights, and a source of income, while conquering crypts yields artifacts which improve your stats, or pieces of the map which reveal the location of the holy grail. Combat takes place on a hexagonal grid, where troop placement depends on how you order them beforehand, but troop movement is dictated by the type of unit. Sounds cool? It is. But there are a few hitches which let the experience down a bit. Firstly, you can't split your troops. Whatever unit you have is stacked with itself only, so the biggest battles still feel like five on five. This becomes the most irritating when your 120 archers can only aim at one target at a time. Secondly, the battle map is bland. It will always be exactly the same, except for a castle wall if you are laying siege, and a few randomly placed rocks and trees, which all take up one space. The game starts pretty brutally, and we had to restart several times. But towards the end, the challenge left entirely. We kept planning to upgrade our units, but we didn't need to, because nothing posed a threat anymore. And once we found the grail, there was no underworld, or dragon, or demon, or anything. The game clapped us on the back, told us good job, and sent us on our way. In short, it had glimpses of greatness, and enough good design to be better than three stars. By all means, it's worth at least 5 hours. We would love to see a sequel with more of what was good, and less irritating stuff. Not bad.
We were looking for a game like this for a while, a game were we could take our time and play it without real time pressure. Great game for in-between meetings or when you only have 10 min of time.
Enjoyable and simple until you start to take buildings.
Very fun, much like Heroes II, however the gameplay is not as intricate or as fun. We would love to be able to do multiplayer- and maybe there is a MP feature, but we just haven't figured it out? But definitely worth 99 cents.
We just couldn't get past the graphics which aren't very good. The battles aren't very well done either. But we respect the effort that went into building the world of the game.
Got owned on normal, so tried easy and still way too hard..the fee for army every week is ridiculous, hard to get money as it is, the armies in castles, crypts, etc are too hard, nearly lost all guys fighting first castle.. The little Mage guy that walks around on map casts so many spells..too much crazy op guys..Also blows that there's no save feature.
This game is poorly balanced. Even on easy, the AI has a seemingly unending supply of scrolls. While you can see (unhelpful) descriptions of how many enemies you might fight in a battle (several? Pack? Lots? Which is more?), you certainly have no sense of power of the battle relative to your team (and it seems two different battles with the same enemy types have different power). It makes no sense. The battles are hardly strategic (can't control path, can't choose battle order, etc. ). And when you get wiped out and have already cleaned up a bunch of easy battles, building up a new squad can be annoying, at best.
Definitely worth the price. Check it out.
A well designed and visually appealing game. The devs improved upon the turn based genre allowing days / turns to seamlessly blend. The game is challenging and well worth the price.
