Description

Hold ‘Em Helper is a Texas Hold ‘Em poker training and practice tool for beginners and experts alike. Not just an everyday odds calculator, Hold ‘Em Helper takes a new approach by putting you in the mind of the player as you progress through a hand. Starting with a simulated set of hole cards, Hold ‘Em Helper deals the flop, turn and river cards with the press of the dealer button. For each hand, Hold ‘Em Helper lets you examine all of the hands that beat you at each point in the hand, and calculates your odds of winning a heads up showdown. Don’t like your hand? Just shake your iPhone to fold and deal a new one!

Hold ‘Em Helper is a great way to build your intuition and insight about the strength of Texas Hold ‘Em hands. Beginners and even experts often over value or under estimate the strength of their hands, getting them into trouble at the poker tables. With Hold ‘Em Helper you can easily play through many poker hands and situations that arise during real games, learning valuable lessons about hand strength before it’s too late!

INSTRUCTIONS:
-Deal random cards by hitting the large white button, or tap the cards before each deal to set them however you want.
-Select any hand at the bottom of the screen by clicking on it to see odds calculations, pre-flop, post-flop and post-turn.

Hold ‘Em Helper Reviews

We didn’t buy this app for a long time because of all the bad reviews. We are glad we finally bought it and wish we had bought it earlier. How it works: You pick your hole cards or it deals you hole cards. The program tells you the percent of hands that beat yours. Then you deal the turn and the river. The program tells you the percent of hands that beat yours each time. There is a scroll bar with the hands that beat yours and you can select one of these and play it out. You don’t have to bother with that if you don’t want to. The navigation on the scroll bar could be better. An obvious use for this program is online play. There’s not another odds program out there that does exactly what this one does. The bad reviews–I have no idea if they expected the kitchen sink to come with the program or not.

This app is great for determining starting hands and how and when to get away from a hand. It will definitely increase your poker knowledge.

To learn much from this app would require hundreds perhaps thousands of hours of study. The type of information it provides is not the type of information one has access to in an actual game nor does it provide you with information about how to calculate odds when playing. A thousand times more useful would be an app which guided you through a poker hand explaining what to do at each step based on cards showing, while still letting you choose hypothetical hands. An application like that would be a fantastic learning tool. As-is this is not worth the money. —– Since we updated to iOS 6, the app crashes when we attempt to choose flop cards.

We expected more based on the reviews. It gives you percentages of beating current hands against individual hands, but not odds for ours or any hints on calculating odds without the tool. Maybe it gives you a general feel for how different hands stack up, but we didn’t really find it that informative. One helpful update might be to have a better way to navigate the long list of hands that are better-create an alternate sort view or let you select the opposing hand like you can for your own hand. Also would be good to have a deal button on the individual opposing hand view so you can follow a particular scenario though.

If you are looking at this app, STOP, run, put your money away. We would have felt better throwing our two bucks in a wish pond. It didn’t do anything but bore us to death. Thanks for letting rate this app, we hope it helps… Refund.

An amazing tool almost all hold’em players should have! You can input your own card values into the app and see results ahead of time!! It makes decisions for you! Must have for old and new players alike.

Getting back into the Holdem game and this app is perfect to start reviewing odds.

Great for live play or just learning on your own time. We find it very useful.

This app is great. We’re able to study/analyze the percentages so that if we’re ever in a similar scenario, we can eyeball our chances based off what we remember from here. Of course, calculating pot odds has always worked for us and is simple already, but this is a nice app nonetheless. We usually write out the hands and have a difficult time explaining things when we try to explain this to our grandma and other people that don’t know how to play, but with this app, it’s a lot easier to. Thanks :)

This app is just excellent. Perfect way for beginners to jumpstart their game and experts to fine tune their judgement & intuition! Good stuff Bb.

Nice little app. Does what it says. Seeing the percentage of hands that beat you is a nice and straightforward way for a begginer like myself to start think about the game. Maybee we won’t lose our money so fast next time we’re in Vegas.

A very nice looking app for the price. Love the look and feel of the cards and the way the hands playout. The developers are on track here for some new ways to see the game. Love to get the percentages of hands.

A great resource for those starting to learn to play Hold ‘Em, may not be as good for more seasoned players. The interface is nicely done, and the limitations on selecting what cards to remove are ok for beginners. It would be good to have 1G touch compatibility.

… It would be even better if you could choose your own hand.

All this app does is give you the odds of your hand winning. No betting, no game, no chips, no opponents, no nothing except a waste of 2 bucks. Keep your money. This is a waste. We don’t know why we have to give this one star. It’s not worth that.
