Great game. Fun & engaging. Hilarious dialogue/story -especially if you keep up with video game culture. Only 2 improvements we could think of: the in game text is kinda small on our iPhone XR, we could still play and read it all, but we could definitely see it being an issue for many people. And the game doesn’t have much replay value which is kinda lame because you can beat it in about 2-3 days. If a new game+ or prestige type function was included, that would probably make the game much more enjoyable long term. We still recommend it though, great simple fun. Overcomes it’s flaws with ease.
The game is good! Has a few hard parts to it but its easy to figure them out.
So this is clearly ripped straight from the PC version. However doing it that way for a smart phone has made it a cluttered mess when it comes to UI/menus. This is our only complaint, if this is fixed we would love to give it 5 stars.
This game is good its the best out of all 3 but, we don’t like having the risk of starting all the way over we haven’t played this in a while but it is great maybe add a fighting mode to test your weapons. We hate to start over still though.
It has been great but we cant unlock the tower of root beer for some reason because we cant scroll to tap the button that would let us confirm. We would love for this to be fixed because we cant do anything.
THOUGHTS we’ve been playing this for close to 11 hours now Im on the third area, its very addicting and fun if you enjoy micromanagement and resource management but without aggressive micro-transactions. The characters are fun and the weapons are very cool. It feels satisfying to make weapons and the game is a challenge to keep your funds flowing. Its by no means hard (yet) unless you make a bad decision. – FEEDBACK Only problems we have are The overall display of Menus is a bit much its kind of overwhelming maybe give the option to minimize them or disable them all together such as the feedback chat from heros and smiths and such. Also having your Smiths go out and do something and having to place them back in their spot everytime is incredibly annoying. We would love for this be changed. Its becoming more tedious as we have 8 smiths now and placing all of them back in their original spots is tedious and unneeded feature. – Conclusion (in our opinion) The game is great and one of the best ports we’ve seen let alone the fact its cheap compared to on console or pc, its a fun pocket game and we kill many boring hours we have nothing to do with it we recommend spending the money on it and we will be picking up the other Holy potatoes! Titles shortly.

Game has a lot going for it; the smiths and heros can level up, you can explore for relics/enchantments, and a lot of neat little touches like boosting equipment, a dog to feed, etc… In the end (30min later), it became a grind fest. Very, VERY repetitive . Was hoping for more depth but beyond the initial appeal, this game falls flat.
We downloaded out of curiosity. When we were enchanting it said swish & flick and we got so pumped about Harry Potter. The game is super fun and Love it. Before we downloaded it we were upset that the spy story couldnt be downloaded on our device, but we were not let down.
We just started playing today and it is very fun. Even though, it is kind of complicated it is still addicting.
We have absolutely no idea what it wants us to do to progress. Its telling us about multiple weapons but we just cant activate them.
The text is way too small and hard to read and the controls are too fiddly for a mobile game. Might be good on a computer but not on an iPad.
We have enough to unlock thick gravy-and, but it wont allow us to. We cant progress, very annoying. Apparently we solved the agents problem wasting so much time here and there is no more storyline either… Update: as we mentioned before we cant unlock think gravy-and. It is half cut off the screen and we cant zoom out, nothing happens when we click on it. We have an iPad Pro 1st gen. We always update our iOS. The problem is still there. Im stuck.
The game is great, its addicting creating various weapons but before a game over it auto saves but after the game over you go to the auto save and its the beginning of the day and that does not give you enough time to forge another weapon to sell so your stuck in an endless loop of trying to make a weapon and then a game over happens so you go to the latest save but there isnt enough time to make a weapon. That we think needs to be fixed.
Bought the bundle and was thinking what did we just get myself into. We do not regret our purchase, it reminds us of Game D Story with a pinch of Word Chef where you can upgrade the workshop with rugs and wall decorations to boost team members. The cheesy puns are delight, the art is good for a mobile device, the controls are simple, little instruction is needed. Keep up the good work. We hope you have more Holy Potatoes IPs in the works.

We are stuck with the trying to pay for the people and restart the whole game over 15 or so times. Tips?
We bought this game for our iPad and it won’t get past the loading screen before crashing. We really want to play it but can’t. Please fix the constant crashing.
The game (Both) wont advance past the tutorial… We nothing we do advanced the game and Im stuck in an endless circle… We WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!
So pretty cool game, very much like game dev but instead you are a blacksmith (which is way cooler), only 4 stars though, the font is painfully small, unless you are playing on a large screen we highly recommend breaking out the bi-focals , seriously its impossibly small. Also be warned the game will chew through your battery pretty quickly, which isnt the devs fault.
After about three hours we couldnt take the repetition any longer. You could easily argue three hours of entertainment for five bucks is a steal, and Id agree and happily support some talented devs, but we hope their next title has more variance.
We’re loving this game! Totally reminded us of Game Dev and this game borrowed some rpg elements like changing class jobs or whatever from the Kairosoft to make it a hundred times more addicting. We don’t get why the potatoes are thrown into the game but it served as a comedic background in a bizarre way and doesn’t really distract you from the main gameplay. Now, the gameplay is the best part because you go about forging weapons and strategically sell them to heroes for profit or fame. Next, you get the satisfaction from watching your business grow and being able to hire from a diversity of smiths to create more powerful weapons. We love how you can be in charge of managing smiths’ skill classes too. Our only complaints are that it doesn’t come with the iCloud. You see the texts are kinda hard to read on our 7 plus but we imagine its worse for those with non-plus sized phones. However, we can read just fine on iPad, but iCloud would be nice to have for the ability to play on iPad at home and then switch to mobile on the road with our iPhone. The other is it could be a little more touch-screen intuitive for iPhones because it’s somewhat annoying to try and tap on those darn, small arrows just to change the characters, actions, or exit to world map. That’s only the only cons we can think of but the cons doesn’t stop us from playing it. Otherwise, it’s still a great port game!
Not able to unlock root beer island.
Love this game but it isn’t allowing us to unlock root beer island so the game won’t progress. :(
It’s as we said, it’s very addicting and fun. We only have one issue, when we’re running the game at 3 times, even 2 times and it lags and then crashes.
Had great reviews but moves way too slow. Not enjoyable at all.
Now that the crashing has been fixed this is an easy 5 stars.
After the update, this app has definitely redeemed itself. It’s a great game that has kept our attention for long periods of time, which leads to questions like "Where did the hours go?" And "Why is our phone dying already?". We’re about halfway through the game, and we can only hope more will come. The buttons are still very small, and the game takes a little while to register taps. But those are our only complaints.
Crashed the game every time when the competition is coming! Please fix it!
Great game indeed. Bit this issue is just annoying and ruins all the fun, we had to save the game mannually. Hate it when we had so much fun and suddenly game crushed and after the reboot and reload the auto save the game keep crashing… And the worse thing is the last mannual save file was two hour ago.
Let us start by saying we love this game. It is fun, well balanced and addicting. BUT it has a major issue with crashing and the website link does not provide iOS support. Also the support link goes directly to the discord app with no instructions as to how to contact the developers. We want to play this game more but it crashes every time at the yearly awards and support is non existent or at least hidden.
Wasn’t sure which app to get as we didn’t want to be stuck on one device, bought the iPhone as it claimed to be updated to universal but iPad has letterbox, animations are glitchy, resolution of different parts are horribly pixelated, certain objects have white lines around the transparency. All just rather upsetting. Edit: It gets worse, crashes at first awards and can’t get past it, crashes every time. Unplayable.
