Surprisingly fun. Wish they had more variety than just the desert level. Would buy IAP for more levels.

How do we share progress between our phone and iPad? Love the game its perfect just want our phone to keep same spot from our iPad.

We’ve been playing this game for months now, and we can say we’ve put in a good amount of hours into it. Each game is not the same, different scenarios & different ways to survive. Thats what makes it fun.

Only recently started playing but from Im seeing, we enjoy so far.

This is such an incredible game. We dont usually enjoy this type of game, we either find them too difficult or too slow, but this one was different. We were immediately enraptured and while it was difficult, (and for those of you experienced players there are multiple difficulty levels), it wasnt impossible. Thank you for this!

Occasionally changes from English to Japanese other than that great game.

This is our favorite game, we have played it all the way through many times. Please make a sequel, especially with the ending it has… Maybe he could find his daughter at the half way point and have to support food and water for two? And to win the game you need to get to safe settlement and obtain/upgrade a house/apartment/rented room? We really hope there is a home behind 2 in the works!

When we first downloaded this game we figured it would just be another survival game with a cheesy storyline. However, this is game is so much more than that. The storyline is interesting and emotionally impactful. You meet several characters as you go who have such dynamic stories behind them. There is no absolute evil or good. Typically in games like this, the story is almost a distraction, but this one we found myself reading through the dialogue more than once because of how good it was. The ending leaves you wanting more. The only criticism we might have is that a lot of the skills and crafting arent very intuitive and we had to learn as we went. However, we feel that is true to the type of story being told.

Theres countless things we love about this game and its why Im rating it as high as we are but it could just so easily be 5 stars but the fact that when you die you have to start from the beginning just isnt fair . We’ve since made it 54% and after having to face enemy , after enemy .. Sometimes 4 in a row is exhausting . We’ve started to get to a point where Im just so frustrated and not sure if its even possible to beat . Top notch game but needs some tweaks here and there . You can tell there was a lot of hard work put into this and we applaud the devs.

This game is so awesome that we bought the full version. Our only issue? Dieing and starting back at square one even when we’ve reached a different map. Please fix this issue.

This game is fun to play. For us, discovering the ways to upgrade the character wasn’t initially intuitive to us. (If you’re in the same boat: touch character picture in upper left corner above backpack. After using points, touch the book depicted on the same screen and youll be able to apply special skills you’ve earned.) Same with where to put the little "tokens" that you collect along the way. (main screen, little book in lower right corner) If you are dying a lot be sure to use these upgrades as they make a significant difference. Also, keep on upgrading your clothing and weapon. We absolutely love the empathetic storyline and subtle education about experiences different from our own (or a tribute to, if you’ve escaped someplace war-torn or under tyrannical rule. In which case, bless you!) Here comes a spoiler so don’t read if you aren’t finished: Developers, we really want to find his daughter and "endless mode" suggests the quest is… Y’know, endless. We don’t really want to start from scratch just to play forever in a vain attempt to resolve that one mission. Is that what endless mode is? Have you considered a supplemental chapter that could be earned to wrap up this last part of the story. We’ve come so far for one reason and that goal is never reached. We would also like to save the son of the poor woman we murdered to prevent the bombing. Let us save him, you meanies! Thanks for all your great work!

The only reason this isnt 5 stars is because we keep trying to purchase endless mode and the game wont let us. It says its confirming the purchase and then returns to the main menu. Regardless, this game is pretty wonderful and we like that it brings awareness to a little of what refugees may go through and (lightly) addresses racism and xenophobia. At the same time, they do a good job of representing European xenophobia and the people that it tends to come from, and you must battle these people as well. Id love to see them add on to this game with more levels or by continuing the search for his daughter, whether this would mean major updates or even a sequel. Long story short, this game is definitely worth playing and you can get a TON of play time out of it. We just want them to take our $1.99 so we can get the endless version of the game and the extra content!

This game is not for everybody. We understand that its a survival game but once you die, you have to start all over without everything you unlocked included upgraded and items. And we just died. And now im like damn… We dont dont to start it over we got it for .99 cents, so its worthed it.

Installed this game yesterday. It didnt work at all.

We think this is a great game. Have a little patience you might die bit in the beginning but keep at it and its many hours of gameplay.

Honestly yes it does get annoying when you dine you had to start over but honestly that is one of our favorite part of this game it forces us to re-strategize and makes us realize what Im not paying attention to and ever since we began strategizing about which upgrade is more important and how each job affects our choices we havent been dying as much but we wish the new update would be released and part two will come soon.

Its easy but not simple. It has its own challenges which one can overcome with a reasonable amount of efforts. Love this game and look forward to see a more improved version of it.

Needs a sound update, and maybe some of the mood mechanics redone… But we love it!

Only reason we are not giving 5* is because the game is a bit repetitive and we hope new features will be added in the future. Otherwise pretty neat little game.

Game is great but come on man getting supplies is already hard we would be lucky if a enemy hands us a knife.. Ok the chainsaw boss was a tad bit difficult but was easy to defeat… But a boss with a gun? Thats not fair especially when you dont have enough time to loot for useful items or the fact that refugees dont have anything useful to help out with that.. Also blocking his attacks doesnt seem to make much of a difference cuz he causes regular damage.. Update the game where if our cart level is at lvl 2 we can create useful weapons.. Atleast a pistol or chainsaw.

Terrible UI makes this practically unplayable. Regret purchasing.

Amazing. Fun, educational, good value. We only have nice things to say.

You guys are mean. Making people restart if they die. Its so dumb we should restart at a building or just the beginning of a map. Not cool.

We mean it deserves to have more players notice it and play it. It provides quite a journey of survival, and it probably includes a little bit of good commentary on the current real-life situation in a part of the world. Myself we are okay with having to start over when we lose, but we can see that some players would like saves we could start from more than once (which I’d be okay with too).

Every time we go to play this excellent game, the cutscene delays it long enough to make us want to close it and play something else. Please fix and 5 stars.

We loved every single bit of this game.. Except for when you’d die you’d start completely over. We wouldn’t have minded replaying each level as we got to it, but once we have beaten it we shouldn’t have to start all the way back at square 1. We finally completed the second level, only to die right at the beginning of the third. Thrown back to level 1.. We had to delete it, unfortunately.

  • when you die you have to start ALL the way over. That’s ridiculous. This is a really solid game that’s challenging and interesting, but with no ability to save or reload it becomes unreasonably hard.

We feel this game is overpriced based on the replayability. When you die, you start all the way over, and you will die a lot. The text is very small on our iPhone. Combat is repetitive and is hard to strategize with because it auto-fights and you sit there and watch.

Excellent story, reasonable difficulty curve, plenty of playability, not half bad for this price!

… Blocking is currently useless … Having different stances are sort of there to change things up, but useless since balanced stance seems to achieve highest dps. … Indoor is too repetitive … Having a set story makes the game decrease in replay value, adding different characters with different skill sets will improve this. … Also adding more random events will make the game better … Why are hungry people attacking us for supplies right outside the relief shelter.

This game is fun and all but needs a better way to save progress. We shouldn’t have to start the entire game over when we die in battle. The fact that there aren’t any save slots available makes this game really annoying. The battle scenes don’t really allow for much defense so we keep dying just before finishing the first desert. Then we have to start all the way from he beginning again. Also, why can’t we see the letters we’ve collected anywhere? This is a great game but it definitely needs upgrading to make it worth the cost.

There’s way too much dialogue and none of it is very good. We skipped through most of it and it was just ridiculous how much there was to skip through sometimes. Replay value is nil. You unlock new backgrounds through playing, but we beat the game on our first play through and feel no need to play it again. This app is too expensive for what it is.
