Community Insight:

The game ended up being way better than we expected. We saw the graphics and few reviews and anticipated kinda a simplistic idle game with few things to do, but we were happily surprised to be completely wrong. Id say the game has a perfect balance between complexion and simplicity where it makes you feel like youre really involved with advancing while gently guiding you without flat out telling you stuff. Plus itll have a little area, that we love, that gives a little recommended next step to improve your towns and armies etc that you dont have to follow but is nice to pay attention to. We pretty quickly decided to support the devs with buying the other chapters of the game, which totally arent needed, but we could tell early on that it was one of the few idle games we actually get completely hooked on and check a lot. Thank you devs.

Simple, easy, and helps waste 20 minutes.

Ive been playing this every day for a couple of weeks now and its still great! Really good pacing and gameplay in general.

Wow. We dont leave reviews often, but this game deserves the praise. First off: No ads, optional or otherwise. This is always a main feature for us because it a game is truly solid, then they dont need to rely on ad revenue. If the game is worth it then people will pay for more. Secondly, the level of detail in the game alone is worth the rating, but the story line and mechanics and just all of it are top tier. We truly dont have any gripes with the game. We never pay for games, but we did on this one because we thought the devs deserved it (and we wanted to keep growing lol) we truly hope you give this one a try, hands down the best idle game we have ever played.

Amazing game. But there is a glitch where the quest. Victory xlll is repeatedly completing.

We really enjoy your game a lot and the new update. That just came out. Thank you.

This used to be our favorite game in the app store but the dev decided to add a pay to skip mechanic with time shards. Which is awfully convenient since the latest update introduced a MASSIVE time wall.

No ads, caring developer, fun game.

Love this game. A fun relaxing style game with plenty to do. Wish had more games like this.

We played this game too much and our wife got mad at us. We chose to left her to play the game. The best decision in our life.

Update: Now we wish Id spent the money. Their whole account handing/ verification thing is a mess. With a new account, their website wont send the verification to the correct email address. 30 days to delete an account is ridiculous. Today with a brand new quest, about 5 steps into it, inexplicably, stone runs out. Game over. We may never play Home Quest again. Its just too quirky. ___ That is, ultimately, what sold us on checking out Home Quest. There were dry spots for us (till Id learned what was happening elsewhere, and in different ways sometimes) too, at first. But, that didnt last as the more you do, the more you do, the more you grow, you and the game. We really cant add to whats been said. Just repeat things in our words. All we can say is that Home Quest resonated with us. And that feeling just grew and grew. No gigabytes of eye candy, nor split second reactions required . A thinking game, that crossed several genres. Ultimately, Home Quest gets as hard as you make it It would be nice if things could be zoomed more. Maybe a five step Zoom, but exponential zoom steps. That would facilitate zooming out, moving, then zooming back in. The simple graphical representations for each item are still cool. To be able to actually see our metropolitans closer. We bought everything and it wouldnt hurt to be able to see the Lake, or Ridge. :-) The Monuments. Then allow a single finger movement of everything since you cant do anything anyway. Then an epiphany rearranged our thinking, stacking our building blocks in different piles this time. Id sorta been playing Home Quest wrong. We were approaching it more like an arcade game, wanting to do things right now. And sometimes we got mildly anxious for conclusions. Hmmm, what was it we read somewhere? And Idle play game, and we frozesay what?? LOL Like we were exploiting resources, like, yesterday. Lol It would be nice if there was an organization chart, or flow chart. It wasnt till we, Loseromius, had our proverbial tail handed to us in battle that we took our armies more seriously. :-( lol Ive probably played HQ something like 35-40 hours so far and now Im slowing down savoring HQ, not just enjoying it! We think that we, as a new player, maybe came at a good time based on several comments about plainer GUI versus the contemporary one. Other than being able to zoom we closer to our creations, HQ is farn near perfect in entertainment and thinking.

We love this game, its exactly what its billed out to be and we will definitely pay for the upgrades. No ridiculous adds and a captivating story.

The game looks really good and everything but Im trying to give food to our people and it wont let us and we were looking for instructions or something and we found nothing, we think almost all we can can you please add some information about the controls or something, thank you.

Please remove the AI-generated images and replace them with anything really. If we had been a new player when we noticed the AI stuff, we would have stopped playing the game. Most of the images of characters are artist-created, but there are some landscapes of mountains or towns that are very obviously AI-generated. Its a shame that these eyesores are there to drag down the experience because everything else is great. We love Home Quest and we think it is otherwise a wonderful game, but Im looking forward to the developer removing the AI trash that is hurting the gaming experience.

Loving the pace of the game. Its simple but complex at the same time. We bought the extra packs to show support to the developers.

Just as the title says, lost our save after not having played in a long while. Dont really want to make all that progress again.

We first played this game about two years ago and we enjoyed this game a lot when we bought the previous premium edition but now we need to train our workers and we now have a limited amount of spiritwells and as someone who likes to play mobile games on our lunch since when Im home we can hop on our pc or console but now everything feels slower and more time consuming than before this is our opinion and it was fun.

Started playing it when it first released, and Im hoping that the updates never stop. Ive bought all of the additional content. The new interface looks very sleek and the background music is comforting. We wish that it was continuous because if you play for a while like we do, occasionally the music will stop but then return to playing. It is also a bit challenging, but nothing that hasnt been touched up on. We like that it tells you what is required of one building for another to use not all of the product, but as much without putting the numbers in the red. It was a very nice feature added. Along with the diagrams in the Treasury menu.

Update regarding the major update: A LOT of work went into this update and it looks amazing. Sadly, though, the gameplay took a hit. We think its possibly more appealing to the new player, but we were used to things the way they were, and now just about everything has been moved or changed in a way that makes the game more tedious than fun. Again, the game (for what it is) looks great! But we liked the minimalist design of the original, especially if it means keeping the gameplay more interesting and balanced. Several nerfs in this update also have us frustrated. Golden artifacts, for instance, were already hard to come by but they now come one at a time instead of three. Why? To lengthen the game maybe, but at what cost? Our desire to play is now diminished. Awesome 5-star game has sadly dropped to four stars. Original review: Just kidding about the boring part. Although the lack of graphics might turn away the Fortnite crowd we love this kind of game, and theres something about the building and worker distribution processes that strike the right chord with us. It would be cool if we could sell or trade off some excess buildings (we have a surplus of farms). Maybe in a similar way to how we can trade in army units for stuff by sending them to Valhalla; there could be a way to recycle unused buildings for material or something else useful.

It feels so clunky and all the buttons are big before the update everything felt far more streamlined and now it feels like we have to treasure hunt to find any specific button. We still enjoy the game but it feels less satisfying and navigation could definitely be improved.

Ive played dozens upon dozens of idle and incremental games including all the major/classic ones (Kittens Game, Antimatter Dimensions, NGU, Trimps etc) plus a ton more mobile-only ones. This one just does not feel good on multiple fronts. It starts off really good and addicting but the bottlenecks just feel so bad to encounter at multiple different stages, and working through them by having to go through arbitrarily contrived timewalls is seriously painful. Theres a system where you have to build up something called mercury and honor. For your first 20+ hours playing this game (where Im still currently at, at about mid-game from what Ive seen) the only way to get these is by fighting waves of enemies that come in sets of 200, which gives you 200 honor. That amount of honor does not scale until who knows when (Im still getting that measly amount when we need thousands) and to make matters worse, there is a cooldown of 10 minutes or so between battles, plus a 1 second delay between the waves themselves which adds up to a ton of additional wasted minutes when youre having to do 200 waves x 100s of battles. To make all of this worse, offline progress seems to not start or register quite right for battles so youll come back to somewhat stagnated progress at times for reason we dont know. You finally beat the next storyline advancement obstacle and your reward for finally overcoming it is having to wait an hour to travel to a new settlement for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Theres no way to speed this up with active play, its just thrown in because its supposed to be an idle game but in the most ham-fisted way. We mean theres even 5 second delays to complete quests after tapping the green button for again no reason whatsoever. Just completely awkward and poor game design. Apparently this game recently underwent a major update/overhaul which was mostly negatively received so we wish we had been able to play it when it was actually good instead of this seemingly downgraded version of it. We even bought the $10 pack when we were still at the beginning and it was still good because it seemed to have potential but now we regret it and am just trying to complete it out of spite, which again is really just a terrible thing. Id recommend avoiding, youve been warned.

The most recent update, which overhauled the core mechanics of the game, has completely made us lose interest in this app. Theyve made the grinds longer, introduced waiting times where there were none before, and straight up removed certain mechanics in the game that were genuinely fun. We paid $10 for the millennium edition of this game a month ago, and as of this most recent update all of our previous paid perks are gone. Everything we paid good money for is now either free or completely gone from the app. Of course, now the develops released a newer paid version for an additional $10. The developers are scummy, taking a once beloved game and making it harder to progress while removing all previous paid benefits, NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.

We just installed the latest update and to be honest, we really dislike it. The game is the same but all the intuitive buttons and layouts have been changed and moved to ones which are more intrusive and visually displeasing, with things that were once in one tab now being shuffled to another. Towns are more zoomed-in, preventing us from seeing the full scale, and the buttons to change towns are now on top of the building buttons, making it cover even more of our town. The new spiritwell graphic is baffling – some of our spiritwells are grey and some are blue, even when we havent activated any of them – and it makes the game look like a cheap knockoff of what it was before. Our superwells are missing, not accessible in any tab of the game. It takes several more taps to access various battles, when before we could just see all locations on one screen. In addition, it logged us out of our account upon updating and wont let us change our password or confirm which email we used before, preventing us from being signed back in – this is problematic for multiple reasons. One, because it says that, once signed in, our save will change to the one on our account, which means any progress we make until we sign in will probably be reverted; two, now we cant access the other empire we had in another save slot. Essentially, the update has made the game nigh unplayable. If there turns out to be no way to undo this update, we probably wont play the game anymore, which is a disappointment after years of enjoying it and playing consistently.

Normally very picky with our choice of idle game, but this has just scratched all of the right itches. You can easily play straight through early game, but eventually youll hit a point where you have to put the game down. Easily worth the $8 we spent on the packs. Great UI, almost a months worth of content Ive made it through so far with hopefully much more, and no ads/excessive iap like you see elsewhere.

Us gusta mucho este juegoes muy bueno.

We've probably put too much time in this game and haven still don't regret it.

Game is incredible, love everything the new update did for gameplay made it way more enjoyable. One thing that would be great to add so we never make the mistake again would be great to have a retreat button from the forbidden sea, sent in our small boats and healers but forgot to send in the ammo boats so now stuck waiting for the healer boats to run out of healing power so the one squid can take out our 59 small boats. Small problem but easy fix with a retreat button for forbidden sea. Just a thought, otherwise absolutely amazing game highly recommend.

The higher build limit with this recent update made this game perfect.

We love your game and even playing it for a long time, but when we go to scroll down on certain things like the army, sometimes a voice over scrolls us back to the top.

As of the release of the latest update, we can no longer access our game. This is because we are blind and the accessibility has gone down. Majorly! It is really disappointing because we are really hooked on this game and was hoping to play for quite some time. We would be very grateful if this was to be fixed.

We love this game, have been playing a couple of weeks. The update today radically lowered our stats so that we cant do any of the loot missions we once could. And we dont really understand the way to change that or raise our level now. We think reformatting the army screen was an odd move.

We worked hard on this game. This new update makes it practically impossible for visually impaired users to play it now. When we try to scroll to where we are trying to get to on a screen, we cant even get there because the screen refreshes and takes us to the top of the page.

We love the idea of our own town. This is so fun.

Could you make it where we could change our email? We had a typo, idk if there is already a way to do it but we havent seen one. Im liking the game so far tho thanks.

Its fun but our immersion is pretty broken when we have multiple settlements but our army is only 200 max? Makes no sense. Kills the immersion of setting up an empire with 200 people in our army?? Kind of bummer.

Unfortunately, even though it states it will work on our iPad Pro 12.9 4th Gen, the world screen is simply black and the app only occupies a very small portion of our screen in both views. Ill likely come back to it if there is ever an update for full tablet support.

Great idle game. We feel like every advancement leads to more exciting ones just around the corner. *Issue: when selling black cherries for oracle reputation, stuck until increase notification disappears. Any way to fix? Or adjust selling quantity of black cherries instead of one-at-a-time.

A lot of Idle games nickel and dime you for progression, this one doesnt and is also a quality game. Only into chapter two but the amount if effort and thought that we can see put into this game is amazing.

Ive just reached our fourth settlement and cannot get enough of this game. Initially, we were a little confused as to how everything worked. But, after messing around with the controls for a bit, we got the hang of it. There is a rather fun story. We enjoy reading all of it. Building new buildings and operations is exciting and seeing how everything effects each other differently is also fun. We can say, without a doubt, that we will continue to keep playing and supporting this game.

This game is seriously awesome. It's not your average "play 5 seconds and then watch this ad for stuff". There aren't even ads. No fancy graphics, no grind (ok maybe a little), just a cool game.

We love this game so much we could play this game for hours and hours and still not get tired this game is so fun there are so many things to do on this game this game is pure adventure and mysteries and fun things we really like that you upgrade your army and fight and stuff like that we would recommend this game to everyone.

This is everything we could've asked for in an idle game.

Great game, been playing quite a bit and it still feels good. Im not sure if it still gets update or not but Id love to see more content. Also, a feature Id like to see implemented, is the ability to give each settlement a different theme from the ones you own.

This game provides incredible bang for your buck; especially as a F2P player. You are only (to our knowledge) capped in obtaining bonus resources. Not resources in general, you just get fewer BONUS resources. Not NO bonus resources. Just fewer. We have been playing this game for nearly two years and havent ran out of things to do. You can manage an army and expand your empire, turtle and horde resources, worry about the aesthetics of your city, min-max supply chains, and so much more. All F2P. No ads. In app purchases are limited to increasing those bonus resources mentioned earlier, increasing build queue, UI Color options, and cosmetics for your town. We have personally purchased all of the contents to support the developer but we cannot stress enough we could have just as much fun without them. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Ive been enjoying the game quite a bit, playing almost every day. One of the core progression aspects in the game revolves around a material called Mercury, which is produced via soul wells. You can use your shamans to increase either the speed or rewards of these soulwells. Our issue is with the rewards. We have three soulwells, the maximum without a premium version. We recently moved to a 100%+ reward with our shamans, which understandably doubled our output. That curbed us over with mercury supply temporarily, but more recently we decided we needed more and built a large amount of soulwells leading to our shamans bringing 300%+ rewards or they should have. Despite having what should quadruple our output, we only double our output. We still only get six mercury per cycle, when if the rewards worked properly we would get twelve. Thats the only gripe we have though, and Im writing this review hoping it gets fixed, but it truly is otherwise a great game.

We found this game randomly on Reddit. Its amazingly simple but it complex balancing all the moving parts but it give you them at your own pace. So if you need time understand something you arent forced to the next thing, you can take your time and itll even recommend thing to you that you might/will need. We highly recommend checking out there Reddit and discord, amazingly helpful people.

Love this game. A fun relaxing style game with plenty to do. Wish had more games like this.

Ive been sick of the usual stuff on the app store, but desperately hungering for a game to play that we could enjoy. This game feels like one thats made with actual play in mind, versus games made with conning players into spending money in mind. Used to be these types of games were simply about strategy and the aspect of waiting long enough for materials to come in, but not so long that you waste opportune spending time. Nowadays, theyre just coverups for Gacha games and loot boxes. Not this one. This one feels like a GAME. We dont really care about flashy graphics and animations. We dont want loot boxes. Im happy to spend the $7 to support an indie game that genuinely feels good and relaxing because Im not getting absolutely SPAMMED with ads and tutorial messages and 30% OFF 18 DIFFERENT PACKAGES IF YOU BUY RIGHT NOW messages, one after another. Theres no UI bursting with things we dont understand. The music is really lovely. The graphics are exactly what they need to be. Its a grand time.

We absolute love this game, Im so glad that you get to idle as long as you want and get all the rewards from it, the new update was very weird but easy to get used to. We play this game everyday and always progress just a little bit further every time. We hope you enjoy this game as much as we do.

This is one of our all time favorite idle games. Gets you hooked quick and constantly coming back for more.
