Find out what gamers are saying about Home – Unique Horror Adventure:

A fun retro psychological horror game that can be run through in an hour, but demands multiple playthroughs to see all the endings, as each decision determines how it will end.

Home is a very clever and interesting game. Not very long but frightening. You can replay it to see a different story. Recommend to all SilentHill fans.

A great app and very intriguing. A good way to pass time and entertaining.

This game is awesome and scary!!!! It’s worth the money we got it for 99 cents! And thanks creators it doesnt crash!!! :D.

An experience that sticks with you longer than its short runtime. Lasts about an hour but it is replayable. The story within is what you create for it. Go in knowing nothing. Let its mood and setting wash over you.

Neat game with a lot of atmosphere and some replay value. We want to replay so we can find more clues.

It doesent crash idiots you probably have the 3 gen iPod we have the 5 we’re not trying to brag if you want to reply then say dear tanner white and we also forgot its awsome but really hard.

This is our very first indie pixel/block horror game and we’re glad Home is our very first because it wasn’t extreme but it was suspenseful. We think it was awesome.

We love it but it crashes way to much other then that its flawless. Can you fix it please?

We’re so incredibly confused. What.

We have the iPod 4th gen and whenever we open the app it crashes, please fix.

The mistery in the game becomes pretty obvious at half the gameplay, plus you finish it in just one hour. It is a bit of a let down, because an horror 2d retro indie game sounds like something awesome, but the game was just boring.

We had high hopes for this game but was disappointed. The two puzzles had few clues and ended up being myst like. We don’t regret playing but wouldn’t play it a second time.

Just finish the game in one our. This is one of the most boring game we have ever played. Not recommended…

The game keeps crashing at the start. We can’t even play the game. Please fix.

Unfortunately it crashes on our ipod 4 before we can turn it on. PLEASE FIX!!!!

You should probably let people know that it doesn’t work on iPod Touch 4th Gen.

And good on you dev for the continued support and updates! We can tell you its ALWAYS extra appreciated to see classics like this still getting updates to improve the gaming experience years later.

We would love to see a sequel to this game. We love games like this that are mysterious and pixelated.

Home is a good game conceptually but spins too wide and open of a web to really capture our imagination. At the end you are left with essentially no reward for everything you did other than more confusion. We suppose their is a literary style that this is based on but the best authors like Poe still manage to capture your imagination, your horror, your mind and give you the finish. So in the end you are left with just your thoughts here instead. And there is no possible story which fits all the variables provided within. Please continue to write though. The App Store needs more unique tales like this. One suggestion to the player: definitely try and dedicate time to this start to finish. A lot gets lost if you play it 30 mins at a time. Good luck!

We like puzzle, horror, and pixel games and was pretty excited about Home. An hour and a half later, Im wishing we didnt spend our money on it. The story is at its most interesting about halfway through, before taking a random, confusing, and uninspired turn at the end. The way that the story ends leaves you with no answers and not enough curiosity or investment to go looking. It feels like the plot of the game was never actually decided, so it goes in a dozen different directions- not in an exciting, choose-your-own-adventure way, but in a way that drains all emotion from the story. Since theres nothing in the way of a concrete storyline, theres nothing for the player get attached to or curious about. We think we know what the developers were going for, but the game is just… Flat.

Not really a horror or a puzzler. The atmosphere this game promises to have before you buy it is sadly the most fun youll have. Essentially, the character only interacts with himself to build a somewhat variable story of no consequence. At best, a good concept that falls flat.

The intro sounds good, Id like to play this game but we are not getting results when we tap on places, we guess our finger is not doing it right, its frustrating, he just walks back and forth. HELP ???

Bad its not scary or really original. Controls are wierd and cant open doors.

This game is a half baked mess. The story really goes nowhere, and the gameplay itself is just monotonous and boring. There are much better games in the App Store that achieve the mystery and atmosphere that this game is shooting for but, sadly, does not attain.

It was a lot of aimless searching/discovery and we never felt truly invested enough to care. We typically like games that offer a different approach, but this left a lot to be desired. We encourage the developer to keep at it, but we do regret making this purchase.

Not sure of what to expect, we put on the headphones, sat in the dark with black light and our wine, and started this up. Absolutely worth it. We didnt stop until we finished it. A few years later we decided we had to give it another go. This is a game where storytelling, ambience, and the possibilities of changing the horrible events of our lives can be so simply and beautifully expressed in pixels. 10 out of 5.

Bests horror game ever we love it.

We kinda expected a few jumpscares, but it’s still creepy. If we were the guy u play, I’d be freaking out! There was also a creepy whisper somepoint in the game. Why did we play this at night?

Amazing graphics, still working on getting all the endings!!! Amazing Game!!!!

The only problem Im running into is it keeps freezing and we cant go past the rusty ladder under water. Anyway to fix it freezing?

Touching, suspenseful, and just plain out fun, however it was a bit short, but still worth the money.

Well, the writing could be better, they recycle words so much that they practically become memes such as the most recycled word in here: (Caked) Everything is frickin caked in here apparently. Kind of annoying.

All that effort only to have it bug out and can’t double tap the last interaction… No matter how many times we reset it. Waste of our time :(

A simple game which quickly becomes understandable and entertaining– too short? Debatable– please make another– ;) 090216 downloading it again! 011817 and again…

The story and draw you in and the choices you make in the game greatly effect the outcome we found myself replaying this game atleast 3 times to see the different possibilities. And once you know where certain things are you can fly right through on the replay.

We believe that this was a very touching story and if you got really in depth with the gameplay you might understand it. Although we do admit that a lot of questions were not answered and some of the choices were slightly obvious and we don’t think that it had too much part in the actual story or gameplay. Besides all of the few bad things, overall this was a great story for us and if you play this game all at once it is easier to understand. Buy this game only if you like a suspenseful slightly touching and unanswered story line.

Mystery plot that builds up in short gameplay. We like that the plot changes slightly based on choices you make. Wish endings varied more and were more interesting or scary.

Luckily we always read plenty of reviews before purchasing any apps so we were already aware that this game was more of a puzzle game than anything else. The sound effects and visuals are top notch but like many others said, practically no questions have been answered and can be confusing if you’re not paying attention to where you’re going but it’s a simple game & had it been longer it would have been a grand slam. Good job!

Unfortunately, the amount of different forks and questions resulted in a rather unattached and fairly indecipherable story for us. We never really felt any sense of horror after the first act of the game because there didn’t seem to be any sort of concrete consequence to our choices and major plot points were left to our decision, rather than be caused by our decisions.

We certainly didn’t HATE this game. We enjoyed the visual effects of the game. The story was hard to follow. Giving you the choice of whether or not you were a killer had no impact on the game which made it irrelevant. Minus one instance with a black cat 10 seconds into gameplay that made us pee a little, calling this a horror adventure was a bit of a stretch. We definitely felt some glimpse of anxiety, as it’s easy to get lost in the game, but we’re definitely being very generous. Feels more like a text adventure with occasional puzzles. Worth a play, not worth buying it.

Really the entire game is just following a story other then one or two small puzzles. Unfortunately after two play throughout making different choices we end up with a still very inconclusive ending that really offered not explanation like we anticipated for the entire game. It was entertaining for the time we played but we were so disgruntled when we finished that we wish we hadn’t spent the money in the first place.

An incredibly short 2D walking simulator. Save your money!

The story was very good, which did intrigue us, but overall we wasn’t as terrified as we expected. There were almost no scares in the entire game expect for the black cat like 15 seconds in, and all the music did was put you on edge for nothing. It’s not worth the dollar and we recommend you spend it on a real horror game.

We’re at the part where you turn the valves – number 2 and 3 won’t stay closed. We looked up a walk through and others are stuck at that part as well. Fix??

Blown away by this app. The author had a radically weird storytelling idea and executed it perfectly. It’s brilliantly designed and written, with literary complexity and dark emotional depth. Not for kids!

We loved this game on PC and we think it’s perfectly suited to smart phones. Unfortunatly the latest version (1.5.3) crashes to black screen upon launching. Sometime an error report appears: HOME ———————- ———————- ###################### ###################### ###################### ###################### #### FATAL ERROR in section number 1 of ALARM EVENT of alarm 1 for objet obj_init: Push :: Exicution Error – Variable Get -5. Device_w(101925, -2147483648) at gml_Object_obj_init_Alarm_1 ###################### ###################### ###################### ###################### #### we’re sure it’s nothing more than a temprary issue.

This game was very interesting worth the $3 but we’re still a bit confused on the ending.
