Every single rating on here says the same thing: wed all play this for hours and watch ads if it was the old version. Day 12.
We dont know why they changed the game so much since last time we played. The game was perfect and had nothing wrong with it. Our guess is the developers wanted their community to download their newer games.
This game feels so cheap and boring to play. The original game was fun to play because it was endless and the designs of the characters were cool. This game? It looks really bad, and the gameplay is so horrible.
We re-download this game after many years because we remember it being so fun from our childhood but sadly we find it is has been completely changed from the original game. Before is was a survival game where you gather yellow people and shoot away monsters until eventually the monsters eat all the survivors but now you cant aim and its a level system that makes it seem more like a rip off game.
The mechanics they changed of what it used to be has made this game no longer fun to play. We dont know why they are these changes but one tap games like these are not fun. This is worth about 15 minutes of minimal fun while the previous mechanics and gameplay was worth hours of fun. We hope they see the reviews and change it back to its former glory.
We played for half an hour then never touched again which is really sad because the original was our childhood. Bring it back.
We will legit pay for the older version , if this was new it probably be ok but compared to the older one this is trash in the nicest way possible but we were so happy when we remembered about this game and found it and than it was completely changed, really disappointed was really looking forward to this old game.
We remember playing when we were in middle school, we would have so much fun. Now its just sad. The old version was honestly amazing, you got to chose where u shot and u didnt always have ONE LIFE, if you shot another blob, your blob would start to lost sanity until it could no longer fight, now you shot a blob and you die. You dont to chose where you shoot anymore, a blob is literally running at you while a demon is right behind it, u cant shot the demon because your cross hair is fixed on the blob. You have to wait till the blob gets to you until you can shoot the demon. You have to be ready to just tab the button to shoot the demon, 20x more difficult and doesnt give 2nd chance if you make one accident, and a lot less fun. We need it back how it used to be.
The older version was better when u had to tap the monster they would did and if u kill blobs u wouldnt die like in the new version when u kill them u just die and the game crashes for no reason and alway has to refresh the game multiple times before playing bring back older version and fix crashes.
The original version was much better. We haven’t played in awhile and redownload to try it out again but was very disappointed in the update mechanics. The blobs not joining your group when you save them, the vertical orientation, the lack of free aim, the lack of different blobs that join your party, etc all just kill the game without them. Not sure what the reason for the update was because it looks like nobody likes it. FYI for anybody who had the previous version, if you look through the apps you’ve previously downloaded (in "purchased") you can find the old version of hopeless and it still works. They seemed to have taken it off the normal app store though, and this app is a different version from the ground up.
You know,I came back here with a sense of nostalgia,I loved the original version because of the skill required,and sometimes it got super hard because of how close the enemies and blobs got but that was just part of the challenge. Now? Now?! Its this TERRIBLE auto aim,THERES 29 ENEMIES RIGHT THERE!!! WHY THE BLOB?!? Oh and the guns? Used to have unique play styles and upgradesNow that was ALL thrown away For aSKIN.A SKIN. Wow cool gun. We’ve seen 30 other skins. Yeah amazing reward for a boss fight! Yeah all that auto aim pain for a cooler looking gun Please,just play the re-skin space versionits much better we really wish you could just reverse the update butYoud lose ad revenueAmazing waste of time,dont even get a reward or really any challenge that DOESNT involve janky aiming.
You guys really messed up a decent game, we miss being able to tap anywhere on the screen not the stupid button on the bottom of the screen to kill the monsters and if we accidentally kill a blob then we lose thats dumb, take it back to the kill circle where blobs get together to make a group and you can shoot in any direction and if you kill a blob then oh well, it aint game over. Take it back to when it was the good Hopeless.
Animations constantly freeze for no reason, and after paying 3 dollars for no ads, we continually got several pop-up videos and banners.
We cant make it past the first level because the other blobs so if a monster is close to you you have to wait for the blob to get to you.
What happened to just tapping the Monsters??? This game use to be AMAZING. Now, its just tap bottom of screen to shoot monster, IT WAS FUN WHEN U HAD TO TAP THE MONSTERS THEMSELVES CUZ ITS MORE CHALLENGING.
What is this knock-off? The original game was one of the best IOS games we’ve ever played. This feels like when your parents got that off-brand cereal because it was cheaper.
This game is fun but we feel bad for the little guys.
We think the new system of the game is so much worse. Like most older games there are a ton of ads and such and Im fine with that because its life, but not along with a worse game.

What happened to the old version when you had to tap on the monsters that were coming out of the darkness and your buddys would give you more light if you wouldnt shot them. TBH we enjoyed the old version when there was like let us guess 4-5 guns in the game. But Im not that happy with this version of hopeless.
We miss the version where when you saved your friends they would join in fighting the monsters instead of just disappearing.

Blobs in the older version of hopeless would join your team and now there just there for a small amount of coins or just screw you over.
Worst idea to make it where if you shoot your buddy you die, just kills the flow of the entire game tbh. And we like the vertical change but it should have been the same Controls as the old hopeless games to where you can free aim vertically.
Like we remember playing this game where you can shoot wherever you want and you have buddies that come and give you more firepower and like bro we like the old version then this crappy new one so plz creators of the game plz add a mode called classic where we can play the kid way how it use to be like always because to be honest removing that classic mode ruined this game.

We’ve played hopeless for years now. With a new phone and our progress deleted, we took a break for a while. When we came back to the app store to download this game again, we were greeted our some sort of cash grab. This game used to be amazing. Since when was this game a single button and in vertical mode? It used to be where you stand in the center and shoot wherever you tapped, defeating actually scary monsters, and when buddies came they gave you more firepower. There used to be only 5 or so guns and upgrades that really helped the gameplay. There were instances of actual suicide from being too scared within the game, which really moved us as a player, but now you just lose the game when you shoot a buddy. We wont be playing this version of the game, and Im sure that many other people will agree. The 1.0 versions were much better, and we hope they will come back, even if it has to be a new app called Hopeless Classic or something like that. We hope this petty cash grab of an app that looks like it was made by Voodoo or Ketchapp was worth losing your best game and one of the greatest games on the AppStore.
The monsters are close and we kill the blobs on accident and we have to restart the whole thing over again.
As most people may know, this game USED to be about controlling 1 or more "blobs" while they attempt to survive multiple scenarios. The fun came from the tension building and fear of losing the game, this would lead to the player having an itchy trigger finger. When fending off hordes of monsters the player would instinctively shoot their fellow blobs. Blobs who kill too many other blobs will commit suicide. This was a lot of fun. Now however the game has so little difficulty and dark themes that it is just another mobile game. However, we would not rate zero stars if we could because it is at least playable.

We love the game but can you please bring back the original animation and where you could get multiple blobs. We liked the old version better and was hoping yall could bring the old version back.

What happened to the version where you tapped to kill the monsters like tap where they are not just the bottom of the screen. We remember that the last time we played granted it was awhile ago but Im pretty positive it was this version of the game. We truly miss it and we tried the space one and its just like what we remember but not quite the same since its a different setting and such. Super fun game definitely one of our favorite along with the rest of the series. Just wondering if that changed at some point.
We love the graphics of this game. Purchased the add-free pack (2.99), but the impression ad is still there. Very distracting! So ad-free is what? How to completely remove the stupid ads??
So we used to play this game a while ago. In that version you had to tap ON the monsters to shoot them and you could eventually have a whole squad of little blobs helping you out to shoot the monsters. Now its a simple tap tap tap on one button to shoot and the old version was SOOO much better. Please fix this game.

We love this game because you gotta shoot monsters get new guns collet coins get new guns and defeat boss fights and move on to other waves.
We love this game! Its amazing and a great game to play if you stressed out but the only thing thats the problem unlike in hopeless 2 the guns are the same strength and please fix the boss where its slow like the other big guys and it takes two shots to kill him sorry we forgot his name but we CANT GET PAST HIM ITS IMPOSSIBLE!!!
We saw this game when It popped up as an add and we thought oh that looks fun so we decided to get it and we were right its super fun and the main character is adorable 100% recommend And its completely appropriate.
We like the game and we remember playing a little bit ago. But now we cant decide where to shoot, if you could remake the original on a separate app or something.
