I am City Hero is a Tower Defense game that combines Strategy, Action and Role Playing.
The whole city has been suffered from evil ghost’s attack. It’s time to protect the city and fight against the evil enemies! Grabbing your weapons to shoot, building towers to defense, using special skill to wipe out enemy, creating base to resist attacks, recruiting hero to fight! Everyone can be a hero!
How to Play
You can choose different feature turrets and traps to fight against the ghost enemies. Of course, the “key man” is Sam. You can slay specters by controlling the little warrior Sam to shoot and use powerful skills. But the enemies are not so easy to be defeated. Each boss has his own special skill so you have to strategic select different combination when you meet different ghost army.

This game is amazing we just wish u could play with friends.
So we downloaded this when it first came out and was named something different. We just could not get into it. We recently re downloaded it and it is now one of our favorites!! Not sure what the devs did but the did something! We are not sure the original had a virtual joystick for the hero but we love it now. The rune upgrades are neat and we like how you can get stronger and beat past levels easier. We find ourselves playing levels over and over just for the fun of it and to find hidden chests and achievements. If you played this before and didnt like it, try it again.
Interestingly, the login bonus does not go past 7 days.
Main character and design is hideous.
The controls were fine before when it was tap the screen to move and now you have to use the janky useless joystick in the corner of the screen. Change the controls back or at least give us the option to switch between them. The game is unplayable for us now.
Great gameplay and concept. We really enjoyed this game. Unfortunately it is overly difficult after the first few levels to the point that it no longer becomes fun to play. On to another game now.
Really good game except one thing on normal levels when you try to level up a towers unless you hit dead center on tower the guy takes off running right into pack of ghosts but on the survival levels its very hard to make guy move so its very easy to die when playing for the third star.
Its a really great game but its kinda lonely playing by yourself…. We saw someone say that they wanted a coop update. We want it to but take time to update it. Its a good game.
We liked the artwork of this game and am a huge fan of TD games in general, so we gave it a try. We couldnt play long because the hero controls are horrible. Many times, we would try to select or place a tower only to have the hero walk where we tapped instead! This needs to be fixed in order to make the game playable. Very frustrating.
Disappointed that there are just 10 levels on the paid version. Still to be continued.
Fun game but we felt like Im not playing the same game as everybody else. How do we upgrade? Im in stage8.
The concept and graphics are great but glitchy controls make this a mediocre experience. Additionally, the game auto-focuses the frame and does not stay where your character or current building action is, which makes it very difficult to construct new towers. We will not be playing any more until an update addresses these issues. If the player needs to shift the frame to build, upgrade, or use skills, then the frame should not auto-shift back.
Played for around 20 minutes, we had to stopped around a while since we got busy doing other things but once we came back to try and play the game again. It refused to load. It was a good game for the time we got to play it.
We try to place a tower and it ends up moving our guy to the point tapped. We try to move the map it moves our guy instead. We try to place a turret it moves our guy instead. We try to select a turret that is built and our guy moves to that spot instead. Unplayable.
We would give this a -100 if we could. Without permission they track you through the phone. Go to your settings on your iPhone/ privacy and then location services. You will see this app in there and it will be turned on. Theres absolutely no reason why this app should have your location. But they do it without your knowledge. Apps like these disgust us. Who knows what else theyre doing without or knowledge and consent.
The title says it all. Dont buy this IAP game.
Dont play clickbait crap the worst game Ive ever played.
At first you find this is nice a nice game with nice game play and easy to control but those go down hill quickly!! The game goes unbalance quickly just when u try normal gameplay, and poor tower which is u couldnt upgrade or level up higher as the gosh does!! U couldnt earn money to keep upgrades your tower!! Totally waste of money to pay$2.99 to play full version which is 05 stages.
We love this game. Not too complicated on the days when our brain cant think anymore.
Good game Finally something which is challenging and uses brain. We love this one!!!!! However, If you're familiar with the other Kingdom TD games, then you won't be disappointed by this one . In conclusion, walking the game map, enjoyable and readily available form of fighting anywhere and anytime.
We like multiplayer games personally and this game would seem like it would be great. Multiple guys walking around shooting seems like it would be great.
Great game but with the new update a bunch of the challenge rounds we hadnt beaten are now showing 3 stars.
Im quite sad for the fact that you cant rotate your screen in game hopefully thatll change.
For some reason it is stuck and cant rotate in other directions. Game is fun though.
Many games we think anyway are not that good. This game changes the way of challenges and many other things. The game is fun and extremely exciting. We would like the controls to be a bit better are they glitch out some times. Thanks and keep up the updates and the great work.
First the positive, we really like the concept and so far its been a fun TD to play. We like the challenging boss battles and the fact the fact the game is not a cake walk is great. The negative is the price grab. Its pretty ridiculous to have to pay actual cash to continue levels and power up packs dont really add much value. If the developers correct the price grab and add more value to power up packs as well as add many more levels we would give this 5 stars.
Pretty hard to control the character moving around the map without touching other things, which make you control your character into a wrong direction. If you want to win, open new stage you need to pay. Also there are some hidden items in the map which you might not have enough time to explore cause the game a little fast. Took a little bit time to get used to it.
Its a fun game not gonna lie. But the fact that its 2.99 to unlock all the stages is just absurd. Like is there only 11 stages in this game. It just seems way to stupid to buy.
Really dont know what happens after that. So far the game seemed playable and possibly enjoyable. Had something Ive never seen before in a tower defense. First battle was like every other TD, but the second turned it on its head. There was no path for enemy to follow. They all came straight at you, from multiple points around the edges. You have a few hard-points that you can build a tower on, then hang around that tower while the tower shoots some of them. They quickly swarm though and you run to the next tower until they swarm that one and repeat. If you get overwhelmed, which happens fairly quickly, there is no option to continue for x amount of gems or gold or whatever. If you want to continue its $.99. You either pay real money or restart. Thats where the game leaves us behind. You pay for everything. We dont think theres anything wrong with paying a bit for IAP to get something above and beyond the norm, or speed up time. But this is a straight up cash grab. So the game is… Ok as far as we can tell, and if you only had to pay to either get the game or maybe get a few perks Id add a couple more stars, but these IAPs are getting ridiculous.
The 3rd level is so hard you dont make enough to upgrade your weapons but for a price you can ! No continues but for a price you can . This game is all pay 2 play.
Awesome game but the company only wants to take your money. Pay to continue. Extreme pay wall to advance maps. With some tweaking could be a 5 star game.
Preordered the game as it looked like an exciting tower defense game. This game is absolute nonsense. Its made hilariously difficult and then offers to let you spend money each step of the way to help you win. Too bad, Id have spent twice as much for an honest game.
The hype was false. Disappointment. Buggy and a pay wall hit fast. Controls are horrid.
Preordered this a while ago and was pretty excited about it. Downloaded it as soon as it dropped and found out that its an alright TD game. Nothing new. Except that when you fail a mission they want you to spend 99 cents to be revived. No in game currency, and if you dont want to drop that, you get to start from the beginning. Also dont let the free fool you, after a few levels you get asked if youd like to play the full game for some more money. Its ok, but there are good TD games that are actually free, and dont ask for real money every time you faint.
