Description

The game iAggravation is a marble board game for 1 to 8 players. Players can share a single device. The objective is to advance all of your marbles around the board to your home position from the base position. Marble movement is based on the roll of two dice. Landing on your opponent’s marble sends it back to their base position. The player type can be human or computer. The board style is selectable: classic, modern, beach, space or party. The classic board is the actual board made by my grandfather years ago. There are selectable variations: one die, two dice, blockade, back four, corners, automatic modes and more.

iAggravation Reviews

This game is terrible! It was good before all the updates but now the computer takes our turns often and for no reason our pieces get put back in home. We wish it would have been left alone now it just cheats. It used to be one of our favs but now we’re considering deleting it.

This game totally cheats. The red rolled a 8 and when all the way round to board before it stopped, then when we sent it home, it came out on a non 1 or 6 and went straight to win. Uncool.

We gave the original update to Swift a pretty bad review. The recent update is back up to, and a big improvement on the older application in (?). Our wife and we are back to enjoying our races to 100 wins. This is a daily game for us and it requires just the right amount of strategy and attention. The options are extensive to customize it to your taste. Well done,John.

Need play against friends on Facebook or game enter instead of computer it get boring need add 2 more players.

This game is addicting and we play it all the time. Only drawback is when it freezes and states "Computer thinking" and then it takes a long time for it to reset itself. Please fix this!!

Aggravation was the game we played with our grandparents, so we have great memories of it. Overall, the app is ok and there are some options to tweak the game to match your family’s style. However, we have a few complaints that we wish they would fix. First, sometimes it’s really hard to get your pieces to move; we’ve even had to close the app a few times to unfreeze it. Second, our family plays that you can leave the bonus circle short cuts wherever you want, which the game doesn’t allow. It should be an option. Lastly, there should be an option to enter the center circle from any point on the board and exit onto any circle corner. It makes the game much more challenging and competitive.

Gameplay is confusing otherwise we just play this game differently where we’re from. Game board designs make the pieces hard to see.

What is aggravating is getting well into a game and then being told "No move possible, Press done to continue". When you press ‘Done’, it says "You must make a move". You try to make a move knowing that the rules don’t allow it, and it says "No move poss……….. And you loop around never finding a way to advance the game. "No possible move indeed!

We LOVE this game! It’s one that we play at least twice a day. However, we can no longer change the skill levels for our opponents. Red can be either ‘long’ or ‘hard’ but the others can only be ‘hard.’ Also, would you be so kind as to include an explanation of the scoring method for the game in the Instructions when you post your next update?

We’ve mostly have enjoyed this games however with each update, the game has become less user friendly. Changing the scoring system was bad neigh, but now you can’t change the difficulty level of computer opponents. You make the change and it doesn’t save and goes back to easy. Please fix.

Classic game turned into an awesome iPhone app. Works great.

We love this game. The developer made it with crisp images and great gameplay. However, there’s too much provided here that we don’t use. All we need is the basic board, not all of the various themes that are included. The space on our iPod is limited and valuable, so to have a board game app that takes up 210 MB is not something that we can afford to do right now. For that reason alone, we sadly deleted it.

Growing up, Aggravation was our family’s favorite board game, and we spent many, many memorable evenings around the board rolling, racing, and ruminating. Our wish list for features (below) reflects the options we grew up using. Altogether (and with the single die option), they allow for very competitive, interactive, and aggravating games that balance "hunting" tactics with the dominant "racing" strategies. 1. Six-player board 2. Center shortcut 2.1. Allow marbles to enter the center on an exact roll from any of the top corner spots–not just the top corner spot above that marble’s Start spot. 2.2. Allow marbles to exit the center to any of the top corner spots–not just the top corner spot before that marble’s Home spots. 3. Top corner shortcut 3.1. Marbles moving from one top corner spot to another top corner spot via the top corner shortcut will aggravate other players’ marbles in a top corner spot either by occupying or passing through the spot occupied by the other player’s marble. 3.2. Allow marbles to exit the top corner shortcut from any of the top corner spots–not just the top corner spot before that marble’s Home spots. 3.3. Allow marbles the option of not exiting the top corner shortcut–continuing past the top corner spot before that marble’s Home spots, if desired. Thank you for developing this wonderful app, which continues a proud legacy.

We play this every night before bed. Great job. Please create an option to be able to enter and exit the center hole from/to all four corners. That’s the way we always played–enables you to hunt down opponents who are about to win. Also can you please make it so that the game can be played with our phone turned sideways? Easier to hold that way.

This is so much fun and one of the best board games of all time. We can remember playing with our fam as a kid. Please enhance to 6 players and allow multiplayer from different devices!

We love this game – a memory from our childhood A couple requests / suggestions: First – When the fist ball comes out that was always considered home base – meaning it was safe from any opponents. Second – the marbles are very hard to decipher from the board. Love the game and thank you for making it! Any improvements would be greatly appreciated!

We love this game! We play it at the firehouse all the time. In our version when you reach any inside corner, you can go in and jump out at any other inside corner in order to stay behind opponents or to play defensive to try to keep them from going home. Also we play teams (your partner is directly across from you) and once all of your marbles are home you start to roll for your partners marbles. Is there any way that you can add those features to the app?

We have a wooden board game of Aggravation. We play it different. Play with 2 decks of cards. There is a problem with this game, the computer players freeze up, when they get a 1 & 4 dice or a 4 & 6 dice, the computer says thinking, we waited 6 minutes, had to reset a good game, hate that when we are winning. If the computer marble are at base, the computer doesn’t know that it can come out and go back 4. It gets confused, because of two directions. Forwards or backward. So it freezes up. They need to fix it.

This is a fun game to play and is worth buying. This developer really cares about making it better. Thanks for the update.

Don’t like it. Waste of money.

This game is well worth the money and tech support responds quickly when problems arise.

Ever since the new update, we can no longer play. Every time we try to move it won’t let us. Help???

Since the update, the game wont open. Bummer this was our fav game. Do not download.

The play goes counter clockwise. Not right.

This app is working just fine and is a lot of fun. There must have been updates since when those reviews were made. There is nothing wrong with this app and we highly recommend it.

We think the game is fine. Weve only played one game, so we may have a different review later. We played on our phone – which was too small. We see today that we can download an older version to our iPad. So well see how that is. One suggestion. Our house rules are – if you dont get out after 3 rolls you can come out on the 4th roll. -You still roll, in case you get a 1 or 6 to roll again. – our hubs played nearly the whole game and didnt roll a 1 or 6 until the game was nearly over. Such a bore when you cant play. Be nice if that was an option. We call it the pity rule. . We bought the game because of your responses back to the previous reviewers. We wanted to bring up the average on your stars.

So infuriating to not have equal distribution of sixes. Just make it fair.

This is super nostalgic for us. Our family was a gaming family and before we had a car we would play simple board games at home. We owned this one, and brought it out as often as possible. So we were very happy to find the one version of this in app form. For the most part this is the game we remember. We like the chance to tweak the look of the board and marbles, as well as the ability to really alter the other players’ abilities. The one complaint we have, and we see this was not addressed in the update, is sound. It gets to us after a bit when everything is totally silent. The die should have a sound, the marbles should make an appropriate click sound as they move around the board. Music isn’t necessary, just sound basic sound. Please. We would also add the ability for the game to play in horizon as well as portrait mode. There are times we wish to play yet have the screen angled upright on our cover but thats we possible, the game has to be played flat on the able. Not good for our neck.

Occasionally a player just goes around the entire board without rolling the dice. Beginning of the game if you get out on 1 or 6 and have a 4 computer automatically plays forward for you, if you dont like that move and want to replay then you lose your turn.

Sad slow gameplay that even if its the computers turn you have to constantly press next to advance gameplay. Wont go back to main menu. Die roll is definitely sided to help the computer. Extremely disappointing game and a total waste of money. We want our money back!!!

Piece of crap game. Is not at all like the actual game of aggravation.

Why addition of icon buttons? Unnecessary and bad visual change that now makes everything else (mainly dice) super small. Provide option to not display icons or go back to previous version!

First time we have ever purchased an app that crashes when you try to pay to. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still does not work. We want our money back.

Our favorite board game in the entire App store!!! Developer is constantly enhancing the game with new options and upgrades. Highly recommend this game for classic board game enthusiasts. Delete your Ludo and Parchesi games… This is the bomb! You will not regret buying this game. With the addition of single dice mode, this game is now perfect in every way. No matter which variation to the classic game you play, there is a mode setting you can turn on or off. Bravo!

We would like to see the feature where you can land on a corner and have the option of moving from corner to corner as a shortcut. Thanks!

Good job ! Can we have multiplayer online against other players throughout the world please? Also if you could give us more boards and the abilty to create the color of the marbles w/ a full color pallet as well as some version of the 2nd aggravation board that came out, that would be great to !

We love this game. Having a bunch of customized game settings sets this game above all the other similar Ludo games out there. Although the back-4 bug is on the iPad version of the game. But this is one of the must-own games buried in the App Store. If you’re reading this, then you’ve found a real gem! Download it now if you’re a fan of family board games!!!!
