Community Insight:

The subverted scene for Zoe 26B is nearly impossible to trigger and we havent been able to get anything out of it.

The game overall is pretty fun. We did not like that. We had to wait multiple hours for it to download. It is also ungodly amount of long. It has no clear start and no clear end and as if things couldnt get any worse, they just start making the game, actively harder the game randomizes whichclip you can get from each other clip. Sometimes youll find new stuff other times youll find just the same clip of the one lady with the apples.

Good game but very frustrating. We triggered the ending but didnt realize what was happening. Force-quit the game and cannot get back to retrigger it. We had to resort to Youtube. Apparently this is a common issue as per our research on various community forums. We get being ambiguous but help the user out why dont you. Also had issues with some of the nested videos. The iOS interface made it hard to use the subtle controls required.

We have a really hard time summarizing how good this game is in a manner thats both succinct and doesnt give away its secrets, so Ill just tell you that Immortality is earth shatteringly good. Its written, directed, and acted to perfection. We have never been so thoroughly shaken by the ending to a game since the last of us part 2.

It keep saying to free space and l dont want to delete Important stuff, fix it.

We only stumbled on this game because Im on vacation and opened Netflix on our iPad. We didnt know Netflix had games, we saw this and checked it out. We were very skeptical at first. . . Actually that skepticism never went away until it was over and we were screen capturing the credits to learn about the artist who created this piece. Is skeptical the word? Reluctant curiosity? Fear? We dont know. This game is not for everybody but it is a very powerful piece. Not for the feint of heart.

No one else does FMV interactive movies as well as these. Strange, atmospheric and addictive. UPDATE: The game seems to have completely stopped working. Keeps making us re-download the game data, sometimes the counter goes over 100%, sometimes it never finishes, the one time it did finish it just crashed out and when we restarted it told us we need to download the data again. Deleted / reinstalled, still not working.

We absolutely adored Immortality, and playing it is an experience we wont soon forget. It requires a lot of space on your device, so we had to download it on our iPhone instead of our iPad like we originally planned, which was unfortunate but that didnt stop us from getting completely sucked in by the narrative(s). Ive heard playing with a controller is better, but even if you dont (like we didnt), it shouldnt take away from your experience. We dont want to write too much more because part of what enchanted us so much was that we were not expecting things to happen while we were scrubbing the clips to discover the mysterious disappearance of Marissa. But if you dont play with a controller, just keep your ears and eyes open. Not for the faint of heart (theres some adult content) or people who want a game with more gameplay, you are basically watching clips and swiping on objects to match cut you to another clip. But there were parts that were so unexpected and quite terrifying that we never felt bored. We cant recommend Immortality highly enough; just make sure your device has enough room for it. Oh, we didnt have experience any bugs like some of the other reviews, and it really just takes a little getting used to the controls (how to swipe, pinch, etc. To make different things happen to the video clips).

Very cool and immersive! Immortality is the kind of game that Netflix should keep sponsoring. It has everything a movie lover wants: excellent acting, dense characters, an engaging atmosphere, a good soundtrack and a great script. Directing this must have been a challenge. Kudos to Sam Barlow and team. The tech crew must solve the bugs that really hinder the mobile experience and introduce some way for you to visualize your progress in the game (achievements). That said, it's worth the 13Gb of your device :-).

Needs to be less data cus im not able to download it no matter how many apps we install.

Hard to watch as someone who is a professional film editor. What was particularly hard to swallow is many of the shots appear shot on HD video cameras and the film look attempt is poorly implemented. Also theres lots of zooms that technically are not possible on those old cameras, for instance theyll zoom from crew to film action but in the old days you had to plan and measure zooms, they were very difficult to do on the fly and here obviously they have zoom on assist or they are shooting on a high end iphone. And the stuff that aupposedly might have been taped on high end beta doesnt look authentic. Lastly as an editor playing this game mostly feels like another day in our career minus the pay. We will give it credit for trying to depict the abuse and sexism in the industry which is often not acknowledged even though its prevalent in modern times.

The game says its 256 mb to download hut we keep getting stuck on the download page that is telling us we need 7980 more mb of free space.. This doesnt seem right to us. Game is either way too big or not functioning right now.

Fix your published game, Netflix.

We would give this game like a 4 or 5 but the videos dont work for us. We are using our phone for it and when we click on the video we want to watch it just doesnt work for us, like the video does not play and Ive tried everything.

Games great, just not on this platform. Our first session of opening the game went great for an hour or two. We came back to it the next day, and now whenever we zoom to enter a new scene, all the UI disappears and we cant scrub, rewind, or play. Only pause. Which means, if we pause a video, we cant resume it or even exit, we just have to close the app.

This is a unique experience that would be difficult to replicate. We appreciate the plot(s) and the ending. Or rather the sort of ending before the real ending. Good script, actors, and planing to make this come together. Some of the controls can be a little twitchy on the phone but thats okay.

As other reviews have noted, this port has some annoying technical glitches for us, we cant get over how the main interface buttons float over the film reel, meaning that clips placed on the left side are incredibly hard to access without accidentally pushing one of the buttons. This is a flagship game for Netflix to have, and yet it really does seem to lack the polish and labor of love youd expect for the caliber of title. That said, this is an innovative, lavish title well worth the $15 it costs on other platforms. Its a no-brainer to at least try for free if you have Netflix already. We recommend going in with zero knowledge about the games plot and goals.

Could not get our mom to play it because the goal is unclear and the content warning put her off. We played it on our own and found its an erotic thriller with Neil-Gaiman-style fantasy elements. If youre a fan of American Gods or Sandman like us, youll probably enjoy this as much as we did. Either way youll have to tolerate a fair amount of nudity and violence, along with the seemingly directionless way the game progresses.

This game encourages the player to sift through scenes from three movies, to uncover what really happened. It is unlike almost any other game, and worthy of a full day of play from an adult. (The content is truly 17+) we enjoyed the mystery involved, and we enjoyed uncovering the story behind the movie scripts. Good acting, interesting characters, unique gameplay – we really enjoyed it.

First it made us delete apps because we didn't have storage. Then it took like 10 minutes to download and once it was done it was just a black screen.we closed and opened the app and now it has to download again.it seems like a really cool game and we wanna play it but it's bugging for us.

We downloaded this game , unfortunately we couldn't get far as we read the warning , Blamphemy against the Catholic Faith , we're not Catholic but we're a Christian Please get rid of this game Also we scroll through the screenshots some of them really bothered us.

We were really excited to play this but cant get past the tutorial because of bugs. It looks like an incredible game but the actual software is just plain broken and isnt even a little bit playable.

We just downloaded it and it doesnt work at all. When we try to select a clip, it will just freeze and not play. Very disappointing as this is not a complicated game. We think Netflix should remove it and fix it before its allowed to be download.

The app ask us to leave the screen open and download the 1.2G data. Is this android app from 2010? Do you know how annoying that is.

This kinda stinks. We were looking forward to play it, and it took an insane amount of time to download. But we cant even get past the tutorial. None of the videos play. Ive read other reviews saying in a great game on other consoles and just doesnt work for iOS. We just hope this gets fixed.

Discovered hours in that it wasnt working the way it was supposed to and Id been missing key points in the story. This should have been tested and fixed. Maybe Ill play on PC when we get over the disappointment and frustration, because we were looking forward to this game and it probably would have been a cool experience. Loved Her Story.

This game is absolutely incredible. It is a masterpiece of storytelling and game design, with shocking twists, and an engrossing story. Unfortunately it is just plain broken on iOS. We have compared this to the PC Version and can confirm many of the issues in the iOS version are not intentional and not present on PC. Sometimes when scrolling through a video the video will freeze but the audio will continue playing, both forwards and backwards. Sometimes at the end of a clip the game will simply stop responding to touch inputs at all. Frequently the game will mistake pinch gestures for scroll gestures and vice versa. We want to rate this five stars (as we rated the PC version). It seems like the perfect game for the iPad form factor and touch controls should be naturally intuitive for input. Unfortunately it is just too marred by bugs to recommend until theyre fixed.

We were really excited to download this. However, the glitches and crashing made it unplayable. Super sad because it looked really interesting.

We tried downloading this app, as we are really into mystery and crime games! The app loaded but in game it said it need 10 GB to load the files.

Although this is an interesting concept, its hard to enjoy it because the app is glitchy and often just stops responding to touch.

This is not an average game. So if you are looking for something normal this might not be for you. But if you want something innovative, smart, and devastatingly beautiful, try it out. It might not be for you, and if its not? There are plenty of other games out there to try.

We have been playing the game about 5-6 hours and we think we beat it? But Im not entirely sure because we dont think the end completely worked correctly for us from a technical standpoint (when comparing our ending to videos of the ending online). Also came to find out there were things in the game that we missed because the controls were not working very well. We know that part of the games charm is that it looks buggy and doesnt work at times, but Im pretty sure we were playing the game as intended and was still having technical issues. Ive heard that using a controller is way betterthe swipe controls are terrible. Would have given 5 stars if not for the terrible swipe controls and tech issues.

First of all, 12gb is insanely big for a mobile game. Second of all, the controls are so awkward even after you get used to them. The story is dry and it just isnt good at pulling in the attention of the player.

After wrestling with the controls for about an hour, we deleted it. Game seemed to be a labor of love, but needs more robust testing. (Test drove the game on an iPad Pro 2022 with the latest iOS under the hood).

This game teaches you what it is, and how to play it. Its unlike any other game. We cant stop thinking about it! The performances are amazingits a roller coaster. We were really happy to have gone into it without knowing anything about it. Also, this is such a singular experience that its good for gamers and non-gamers, cinephiles and non-cinephiles.

Because people are jerks and are spoiling the game.

The gameplay and story are great. Be aware that there is some very explicit content. There has been occasional lagging for us, and we are not able to get any audio unless its connected to headphones.

The game is about two immortal spirits that possess humans, including the protagonist and eventually you, the player. Lame that you need a Netflix subscription to play.

Sam Barlow does once again giving an experience like never before! From a game that was originally produced for PC and Xbox now comes with a mobile port for most players to enjoy. Even though the controls may be finicky at times, it does not stop us from the engaging story and a wonderful performance of the lead actress. On a side note: While this app is listed with a storage capacity of around 200 MBs, its actually 13 GBs due to the needed files of the films. Just to give an attention for those who actually wanted to play.

Im just putting this here to get rid of the top review which had like potentially serious spoilers that were literally visible on the download page.

We really like the idea of this game but it randomly stops responding to any of our inputs. Ive tried restarting the game but it just does it again after playing for a few minutes.

As a detective game its a total fail. As an interactive story its as good as it gets. Pinch to zoom is really awkward to use compared to controls for Immortality on other platforms.

Im guessing Im near the end, and four times now the game has frozen and crashed to the home screen.

We have ton of storage but it says we somehow am needing more? Wont go past the loading screen super disappointed.

This game is so creative and innovative but on iOS the game has countless bugs and after so much hard work and investigating the ending cutscene will not show up. We would highly recommend you play this on PC or Console.

We cannot finish watching the first clip. It stopped and responded to nothing. And we noticed there are duplicated icon on the UI, and the lower right buttons change randomly.

It says it only takes up 250 MB but the loading screen on the app says we need to free up over 8000 MB in order to download.

Game freezes on the film clip page, restarted, loaded all game and system updates, but still just locks up. Too bad, as it seemed like an interesting game.

We couldnt get past the really awful interface. And we started to watch a clip and it was SOOO boring.

Im running an iPad Pro 256 gb os 15.6.1 with tons of memory and it wont get past the start screen.
