We decided to make the game available for free and support it with game ads. Just on each app launch, not during the game, but the display might take a few seconds to appear, we will make sure in future updates to prevent ads to come up during a level on app relaunch. We thank everyone who bought the game for their support, it is tremendously appreciated. Unfortunately more than 99.5 % of the downloads of Impossible Pixel were free and we need this to be able to keep updating and improving the game along with working on more content that will be available for free later. It might still be temporary but right now it's a necessity and we hope that you will understand our choice. We are working on making a button to remove the ads that will be available inside the game and that will be free for previous buyers of the game. Thank you again for your support !

Community Insight:
Level design (except 4-14 with its impossible coin) is on par with games like Super Meat Boy and Celeste. Quite a challenging (and hence rewarding game). Please tell us devs if that 4-14 coin actually is possible and we amend our review and go get that coin.
This was our absolute favorite game back in the day, but its no longer available (we assume for iOS revision reasons). Please update the game so we can play it again and give it the 5 stars it deserves.
Simple concept, hard to master and loads of fun! We don't really know how you can described this in any other way. The physics of this game are fantastic! The perfect jump is all about the timing and this games nails this concept perfectly! Nicely done.
Ad level editor plz! This is a really good game and it would be cooler with level editor for free.
First off, for something of this quality being free is something amazing. The only minor annoyances we have is there are no scaling or placement options for the on-screen buttons. The other being sometimes when you start a level, the jump button does not respond. BUT! You can test the jump button before you start the level & NOT get penalized by the time clock, perfect for you time-attack nazis. Now with the pessimistic crap out of the way, onto the review of one of the greatest games we've ever played on ANY platform. This game is hard. Like, police brutality hard. As of his writing, we've died 808 times, and we're not even half-way through level 3. You must be VERY meticulous with your timing in order to navigate the various pitfalls, spikes, buzzsaws & other traps you encounter along the way. Highly recommended for the hardest of hardcore gamers. Hats off to 99UP Games for crafting the stuff of legends.
Hello we're here to do a review once again. Well we were looking up games that were indie and stud like that. We saw this and it looked like N+ platformer or league of evil or super meat boy some thing like that.we look up playthrough on it it's awesome but when we start a level… We FREAKIN PLAY IT! It crashes when we start it up so hopefully you can fix that in an update please it looks really fun~~~~~~~.
So much like super meat boy, we love it.

Chapter 4 level 14 no way to get coin.. Impossible. Update Great game. Even after you beat the entire game you can go back to each level and try to get three stars on each map. Even though we feel the snake boss in impossible and we're a three star on each map.
We like how its just like super meat boy just pixel.
This is so addicting and angering sometimes but we still love it we're gonna learn stencyl now because of this game.
We love it! Definitely worth way more than the $0 we paid for it. Also, speed run protip: timer starts when you run, but you can jump as much as you want and it won't move.
Love the presentation and the gameplay is slick and challenging.We need more games on the store with this kind of production value.

We don't know what every one is talking about The controls are phenomenal Very responsive!!! This game is fun :0)).
UPDATE- we reviewed the initial release and rated it poorly for the problematic controls. Well, the developer was listening and the update solves all our issues with the game. This game is great. The art is amazing, the levels are nice, and we even like the soundtrack. Some of the levels are brutally difficult, but if you're looking for a challenging platformer with an amazing art style, look no further.

We beat it like 5 minutes ago. And it is awesome.
We think the black and white 8 bit looks awesome and the game is really fun.
We love the game, it's really fun. The only issue we have is that due to the thickness of the iPads border (part around the screen) it's hard for our thumb to reach the 'right arrow' button. We suggest making the controls adjustable so you can move the buttons around for your comfort. This issue doesn't bug us on iPod or iPhone due to the smaller size, but playing on iPad is fun lol so we really hope you'll fix this in an update. :).

Man we were really challenged by this game, it's more difficult then picking up women.
We don't know how this game isn't more popular, it's really good.
Its like a minimal version of Super Meat Boy! Also works fine on the iOS 7 Beta (not that it matters).
We were looking for a fun platforming game like this for a long time. This s great but they need to bring back the old update that had difficulty and new characters but besides that BUY THIS.
It's a great fun addicting game(sometimes frustrating) its hard but not too hard with a TON of levels.

A very fun platform game for the iPad, but nowadays it seems that every platforming game has the same concept. You jump over spikes and saws, try to get some collectibles, and get to the exit. Video games don't really have the originality that they used to have anymore.
But we're stuck on world 2 the boss battle against a dragon type thing. Pretty hard.
This is exactly the kind of platform game everyone needs.
We love this game! We can't stop playing it. Download this game ASAP! You will love it too.
Best plataforming game we've found yet! Reminds us a lot of the SNES Super Mario World.
Us and our friend have been playing the game awhile and after they started updating more its been alot of fun.
But level 11, world one, the coin cannot be collected, CAN NOT.
We were one of the .5% that paid for the game. Update 1.5 ruined it. 1.51 was a great comeback and with how awesome the developer is being – 5 stars.
The controls need work. First, the pause button needs to be moved to somewhere on the top. The directional buttons need to be moved left and down, and the jump button needs to be moved right and down. It isn't comfortable for long term playing as it currently is. Look at the controls for the first random heroes, or consider allowing people to customize it somehow.
We got this because, it was like super meat boy! This app is awesome( but, it dosn't compare to super meat boy)! If you like this game, you'll love super meat boy and is you love super meat boy, you will like this app.
The game and its gameplay are solid, but there are some issues. First is a serious bug. Sometimes the jump button does not work on the first jump of a level. We reproduced clearly and the jump button will to work the second time you press it. For a game where timing is critical, this is very, very frustrating. Lastly, the menu UI could be greatly improved, there are lots of accidental taps getting detecting. Scrolling to a second page of levels has never been so hard. But these are all fixable! Thanks for a good game.
Has anybody gotten the coin on world 4 level 14? It's the only one we can't get, and it seems impossible.
Awesome game, needs improvement in the controls, like the jump button reacts slow sometimes.
Is it just us or is the first boss level with the giant snake literally impossible? Those stupid balls are moving 100 miles per hour and there's like 10 of them at once in a narrow hallway, we've attempted that level 100+ times without making any progress.
Though SuperMeatBoy Mobile hasn't come out yet we enjoy 8-bit games such as this one and we do like a challenge of being timed to get 3 stars.
World 1 level 11 and world 4 level 14 coins are impossible to get. And world 5 last level doesn't record the three stars when you finish the game.
We were one of the few that paid, 1.5 ruine that with pop up ads wWHILE YOU'RE PLAYING. 1.5.1 made it better :) could use help with occasional lag, maybe different graphics settings please? The lag just makes it tooooooo hard haha. But 4 stars till lag is gone.
We upgraded our review from 1 to 4 stars due not only to it being a great game but the responsiveness of the developers. If they add back in the additional playable characters we will give them 5 stars. This game is easily our favorite game right now. The last update had new playable characters and other features that made a great game even better, but it also had bugs that made it unplayable. The new update eliminates some of the cool new features while they iron out the bugs. Thanks devs! You have a great game and we're glad you are continuously improving it.
Ok so this was a great game except for the fact that sometimes the jump button didn't work but on 3-14 we pass the finish line and got the gold coin and came back to the finish line and nothing happened?!!! It points that way and there is no where else to go! We would've gave it almost a 5 star but this makes a huge difference.
